sorry man.. i think hes a pedo…
im 20 i would never go out with a 14 years old “kid”!
Umm, you are aware this thread is 3 years old, right??![]()
Old thread, valid point.
Unless you’re looking for the Roman Polanski lifetime achievement award, avoid jailbait like the plague.
Kids are curious, reckless, and have the judgment of a gnat.
Even if you have a legitimate, straight up relationship with a minor (and I don’t know how that’s defined in BF-GF terms) and you’re well outside of the age band… its’ going to look weird as hell… honestly, a guy in his late 20s with a 16 year old is bizarre, same guy with a 13 year old is effing nuts…
There is a freaking tribe of college women at my local starbucks and I don’t think I could maintain a conversation with most of them for more than 10 minutes… and that would be making an effort.
i think that when a girl is around 17+ its ok… cuz she knows what she wants!
when shes 14.. shes a KID!! deffinitely a kid! she doesn´t even know what she wanna be in her future..
17+ for me its ok!
So if the thread’s three years old, the chick’s 17 now then? Is that what you’re saying Lacosteboy?
if shes 17 now. its ok…
but 3 years ago wasnt ok
I’ve posted a lot of material over in the lounge based on my own extensive readings into brain development.
This can get quite technical, the solid take home message is easy for anyone to understand.
Young brains are much, much more “neuroplastic” (they imprint new information more deeply in their eventual hardwiring than older, less active brains) and they are also far more vulnerable than has commonly been understood.
Head trauma in adolescent males (football, ice hockey, martial arts, extreme sports) is now suspected of inflicting long term damage that may become a permanent part of that human’s basic operating system.
Same is true of chemically induced head trauma, binge drinking, heavy pot smoking, maybe even excess caffeine, and definitely prescription behavior medicines like ritalin and adderall can alter the human brain at the cellular level. In bad ways. Ways that reduce your earning power and ability to move up in life.
What’s more intriguing is the idea that being exposed to certain cultural factors, images and social norms, technology derived experiences like television and portable devices, will also impact the brain’s hardwiring.
The old model was that the imprinting phase of the brain pretty much tracked language acquisition… you ceased imprinting at maybe age 6 or 7 and then deliberate learning took over.
Now this idea is being challenged, possible there is another less intense imprinting window that is hormonally activated in adolescence.
Kids are being bombarded with stuff they’re not neurologically prepared for, a lot of it is cynical marketing by ethically damaged souless scumbags who can sell a lot of garbahge to kids who want to pretend to be adults, like, say, Pimp’n’Ho haloween costumes.
Instead of being a relatively protected developmental time that lets kid’s neurologic structures mature at a healthy, appropriate rate, we’re slamming them into adult roles, we want young guys to play with the prowess of NFL stars so we wink when they guzzle “enhancers” that are going to royally screw up their endocrine systems, we want kids to push their academic abilities to the extreme edge, so we feed them roughly the same amphetamines that will get you a long prison sentence if you cook it in your kitchen, the pot is now so strong it could be sold as a psychedelic, they’re bombed with porn at the click of a button, they drink themselves into stupors (probably to deal with the excess pressure)…
The tragedy of this is that we as a society are projecting our own weird unfinished business on kids that aren’t neurologically stable enough to process what is being done to them.
This statement has developed a serious case of lulz in me.
Halloween has become an all-out slutfest where one girl tries to outdo the other in the amount of skin shown. A few years ago, when I was in high school, this was awesome. Now, somewhat awkward. Pedobear and his ilk approve, however.
Dude, she looks like Beeker from the Muppet Show
Dude…I don’t even.
