Hello people, I just wanted to share that documentary with you since I discovered a few interesting things in this forum ![]()
Your Brain On Porn Series | Your Brain On Porn
It shows how internet porn messes with peoples brain…I decided to follow the advice and stop watching porn for at least 1 month
Im at 2 weeks for now and it starts getting tough
but I think that my testosterone level rises up a lot..and so does my mood with girls ![]()
Btw theres nothing religious here, just neuro physiology.
So guys (and girls) what are you thinking about these videos ?
See you ![]()
Nice find & interesting to say the least.
Never thought much about this but…seeing porn in either pictures or video wasn’t that frequent before the internet…
Very interesting, thanks for this
Ok I gotta start again..I failed a little time after my post lol
I’m surprised that it is so tough to hold..Guess I’m addicted ![]()
Soooo…Day 1 ![]()
Am I the only one here to admit watching it ?
There’s another thread on the same topic with the same link ![]()
I watched only 4 videos…and I can definitly say I am convinced. 90 days here we go…
As difficult as it sounds, really go into it without masturbation. Or, if that is too difficult at the beginning, only masturbate a few times in the first week and gradually stop to nothing while you have also not watched porn.
Like that movie 40 days and 40 nights. Ha ha ha!
Perhaps someone could pull this off by substituting porn with some activity equally, if not more stimulating ![]()
Actually, I think that porn is a drug you can really get addicted to (just like tobacco or cocaine).
The main problem is that this “drug” is always alvailable and your primitive brain always beg for more of it (theres an interesting parallel with food and obesity).
I think it is a true addiction.
This was on the radio this morning as the topic. Something like if there is no sex of any kind the male body produces 60% more testosterone in just 7 days. Then they went on comparing to social networks and alcohol and drugs. It was funny and interesting.
I’ll try this, month without porn. Reminds me of Hot blooded, by Foreigner. ![]()
Some other threads covering the same topic:
What if you make your own porn?
Not sure if you’re being facetious or not, but I’ll try to answer this question.
After discovering this website for myself (though this thread of course) I’ve stopped watching porn. I haven’t been addicted, but rather used it as a masturbation tool. After learning what the site has to say I’ll try to break it down as simply as I can.
You want dopamine.
Novelty stimulates your brain so you can produce more dopamine. Gambling, food, sex, drugs all count as novelty.
Your brain perceives these willing females in porn as real mating opportunities.
Since you have all the porn in the world via high speed internet connection, you have endless novel “willing females” at the click of a mouse. Once you’re done with one female, you may not have received the most powerful dopamine blast available aka orgasm and continue searching for more females. This can continue on for minutes or hours, leading to hundreds of female mates your brain perceives as real in less than a realistic time frame.
So what happens is your brain needs 100 females in the room at the same time doing some kinky thing before you’re able to get that dopamine blast that you need to get off.
The result? One female is no longer enough to get you off (both dopamine wise and physically).
So ya, I’d imagine if you made your own amateur porn you’d be all set since you’re only viewing yourself and (a) (few) partner(s).
Otherwise, this site has me convinced. It’s all sciencey n stuff.
