As you are well aware most of the research in this field comes from the users at this point in time.
Certain users here have reporting user status. These users give info to androtics about what the feel the potential mone is doing. At least I think thats the jist of it, there is probably more to it than that. Just like with anything scientific, if the effect is repeated among multiple users, than we can form a theory into how it is acting and what it is doing.
When you are ordering Putative pheromones******or experimental pheromones how do you know what the effects are? I does not give a description of the possible effects? Do you just look on the forum for what other people said about it or the reviews on the web site?

The idea behind putative pheromones is that they tend to exhibit similarities with known pheromones that humans respond to. Additional testing is needed to determine if they can be classified with the other more common pheromones.
No, you blind test them then report YOUR results. What YOU notice is what you should then report back be it negative or positive. Reading up on the forum for previous putative reports will just hinder blind testing and put pre-conceived notions in your mind about the putative. So blind testing should be the typical protocol for these putatives.
Pheromones are created via chemical synthesis (and maybe other methods too). Basically, a specific ‘molecule’ is manufactured via a process.
Pheromones such as anol are naturally occurring and well documented. A putative, on the otherhand may not be naturally occurring or documented /be a known substance.
Since the actual putative molecules are a ‘trade secret’ we dont know what they are, but for the simplist of explanations; say you were to take the anol molecule and slightly modify it so it’s molecular structure has been changed in that its not the same molecule, but shares similar stucturual characteristics as the original.
It therefore may or may not act as a pheromone and requires user testing to find out. Putatives are what AD beleives to be a pheromone /act as a pheromone (they’re not simply throwing random chemicals at us) however, thats not to say all putatives are adaptions to existing pheromone molecules.
