Let’s say for example, on the rare occurrence a person gets acceptance and validation from others before finding it within himself. Well he’ll be nothing but a slave to that validation. As long as he lives his life to please others for praise or approval, a slave he’ll remain. And the days that he can’t receive that validation he’ll experience suffering because he wants it back and now even more because he has become attached to it. Don’t go down that path. Instead let go of your personal judgments about yourself, and be free to enjoy yourself regardless of other people’s opinions. It’s your mind, you can believe anything you want about yourself, so enjoy it.
