I’m still new here (here’s my “intro” thread Newbie with lots of questions! ) and still trying to get a hang of the forum and using pheromones in general, but I had a question about a particular usage of pheromones that I haven’t seen anywhere in the forums so far…
I am a fairly serious poker player. I’m certainly no pro, but I do play about 25 hours a week at my local casino and get most of my spending money (including now my pheromone money ) from the modest amount I make. While at the casino yesterday, I began to wonder what kind of effects pheromones would have on other players at the table, and if I could increase or decrease certain player traits.
The pheromones I currently have are:
Instant Shine/Openness/Honesty
Turn up the Heat
A314
Ammo Instant Female Magic
Would any of these be effective in causing players to subconsciously project tells or intentions? Would the effects of A314 or Ammo cause people to play more or less aggressively against me?
Would IFM make male players too depressed to win pots ?
I haven’t seen anything of this nature on the forum, and I’m curious of what you guys think. Particularly anyone who plays poker/has used pheromones in a poker game.
Well, I’m not a poker player, but I’m going to suggest you start with 3 drops of A314 and 2 sprays of Turn Up The Heat. You may need to tweak the levels for yourself a bit, but I think that combo will give you a respect and intimidation factor that will definitely give you the edge!

What kind of effect does TUTH have on men? Would the intimidation I was causing make people want to fold to my bets or try and catch more of my “aggressive” bluffs (I know you said you don’t play poker but just basic psychology probably applies)
Agression! and/or intimidation! It should have people folding on strong hands, and maybe a few calling when they should have folded. But coupled with the A314, I think you’ll see more folding.
Lust at lower levels and wanting to see you win, at least above the other players. Or, agitation or ghosting at OD levels. Again, I think with the A314, I think the result will be more toward intimidation.
I don’t have personal experience with using pheromones to amp up my poker game so I won’t comment, but I do know that Acid_Circuit has been trying pheromones out in his poker games many times. He has commented about it in his journal.
I’ve played poker with a few friends with pheros on. I had on a good amount of A314. I found that it raised respect a lot. You could get away with a few more pots than usual. It kinda raises an “uh oh” to other players when you raise especially if you project a tight player image.
I played with 2 friends that night that I can say may have similar play habits to you. One has won over 15k in winnings in tourneys and cash games. I found that he was having a lot harder time reading me which frustrated him a lot and threw him off his game. Normally he can read me accurately 70% of the time, this time it was like 5%. The rest of the table also knew my play style which made them even more cautious when I was in the pot. I’m usually aggressive and like to take chances or I’m really conservative. Just depends which side feels like showing up that day. I played with my conservative table image that night which started off great, then I got no action what so ever. Players kept folding. I got really frustrated and started losing a bit. I ended the night up, but found that I probably shouldn’t have used A314 with a conservative image. If you’re aggressive or hyper aggressive I think A314 would work pretty well.
So your friend had a hard time reading you eh? That would be VERRRRY useful .
What do you think would work for a more tight-aggressive style? That’s how I usually play in the casino (it’s short buyins and loose players so I don’t have too much of a choice usually…). I am much more aggressive when I host home games so I think I’d use the A314 for that, but what type of reaction (and which pheromones) should I be using to help get paid off on my big hands?

well with turn up the heat, it might intimidate. That night I also had on some AMMO I believe. I don’t think I had enough on to cause an OD or create an intimidation/aggression factor but I think with -none it’ll go either way.
I’m assuming here, that with -none on say an alpha style player, you might get more calls. Depends on their reaction I suppose. You might get more aggressive plays overall from the table and intimidation while you’re in a hand. If you’re going to use pheros in cash games with loose players, let them whiff some of the pheros FIRST. So if a new player sits down, make sure s/he knows the table image you’re projecting and see how pheros work. IMO I would think a tourney would be best for pheros since you can change up your style more and people are exposed to you for longer periods of time.
Also I found that my friends seemed to take it better when I bad beat them. In my defense, I played my hand like I was supposed to and got lucky. Stuff like me having pocket 10s, friend rockets, I raise he calls pre flop and I spike the 10 on the flop. Stuff like that, they took it a lot better than I thought they normally would.
