Hi, im Alessio and im a phero user since 2006. I have order number about 2000 here in androtics.
I have used a lots of pheros but i had only couple of times NOTICEABLE hits.
Now I am the one who buy lots of pheros, put all them togheter, mix them and complain cause they don’t work as I would. Then leave them in some places, and take them after 1 year.
Now im testing a314 ALONE from a period of time. Im trying to find my sweet spot but I have 2 major difficulties:
THE FIRST ONE. This one is the worst, cause now my A314 bottle dropper gives me ALWAYS a different amount of product, causing me to don’ t know how many drops i wear.
Often it gives me 2 DROPS one immediately after another. Often when a drop come out it adds with some A314 that is in the containing space near the dropper and comes out a drop 4-5 TIMES BIGGER than a normal drop.
So i would ask… HOW DO YOU APPLY a314? are these common problems or its only me?
I thank you a lot and i thank this forum, its administrators and gegogi that posts the best posts in the world! I will post my second problem after i solve this. Thank you again
the bottle works on the principles of airflow and pressure. if you look closely you’ll see that near the pour spout in the plastic nozzle is a sort of vent. this allows an air bubble to rise up into the bottle thus pushing a drop of liquid out. For it to work properly the bottle should be almost perfectly upside down. If you hold it at an angle, especially if that vent is pointing up the liquid won’t drop, but will instead almost pour out. Just like pouring beer out of a bottle. perfectly upside down it will slosh and splash as it fights upward traveling air, hold at an angle and it flows smooth like a two way street.
I’ve found what Radman said that it has to be upside down completely to get the drops needed. I drop it on my wrists so I have full control and just incase I miss I won’t waste a drop. Now as soon as the first drop comes out I’m already mentally preparing to quickly turn the bottle rightside up because as soon as you see that second drop come out and drop, turn the bottle.
Also as for the globs of drops you’re getting, I usually tap the bottle gently to get any remaining liquid back into the bottle and pop any air bubbles. Because liquid’s density will enable it to stay on the surface the more liquid it comes in contact with, you have to make sure the top is clean. I’m paranoid with contamination so I used sterile gauze/sponge to clean off the top. I tap the side of the bottle and bottom to get the remaining air bubbles out, and I do it regularly and I haven’t had a problem since.
Just make sure you do it lightly, you don’t wanna break the bottle.
thank you a lot. i tried as you said but no nice effect… i will try to perfectly clean the containing zone near the dropper but in this time i will buy SOE so i can do as gegogi did, that is putting a314 in the SOE roll on bottle.
The A314 drip spout it a PITA and a poor design. Unfortunately it’s also common fare for EO and herbal oils. I found a quick and easy solution to the stubborn drip (or lack of drip).
For easier application I put A314 into a small rolltop bottle, usually an old SOE bottle. I normally fill it about 20% so I can clean it more often between refills (so you don’t contaminate the mothership). Basically I get both easy application and consistent flow. What’s not to like!? Life is good!
Also, I’m gonna be the guy harping on the idea that AD brings back MX347…that way you get the exact spray each time AND it works soo much faster and harder…ofcourse I doesn’t last as long but who cares, people will just buy more.
Ooh man yeah…I go away for a month to start my own business thanks to the very mones that are now outta production. Can you say Irony. Damn! I loved MX347…it hits so much faster and harder…but now Im reading all the …“where did such and such go” threads, so I’m getting the picture. Bite your tongue Happy…bite your tongue.
Its best to resist trying to force any of the oil out, if you just hold it dropper-down and wait, let it come out itself one drop at a time you should get consistent dosages.
From what I understand, roller products work by the length you roll on. Roller product applications are measured in inches, centimeters, whatever. With small rollers being more accurate, a roller should give the same amount over the same length of application, as it’s related to the surface area of the ball and the viscosity of the liquid. You might not be able to tell exactly what dosage of each molecule is given (in mcg/whatever) but if you test it and find your sweet spot (like we do for all our other products) then you should still be fine. I’ve never used a roller either, but those are my thoughts and I do think it could be an effective method of application for some products.
I think if you have a cap with a good seal and use it fairly regularly, it wouldn’t dry up between applications. My deodorant uses a roller ball and it doesn’t dry up during the day. Of course, I might be wrong, as I don’t actively check my deodorant for this. But then again, even if it did dry up, if you just place the roller ball on your skin and move it, you can still tell that you’ve applied two inches of product, as the small length where the ball was being primed and didn’t have any product on it won’t show up on your skin. I’m not trying to argue that it would be as consistent as carefully dosed sprays or drops, but if you fine tune the roller and know how to use it and get the effects you want (and don’t need to report the dosages or know them for some other purpose) then I would say whatever works for you.
No prob with “dried” balls in old SOE bottles: remove cap, tip ‘n roll. I have two different roller-ball sizes: larger SOE bottle and one about half the size (volume & ball). Both sizes are sold at new age hippie shops, organic food stores and online mone retailers (not AD tho’). The SOE size roller works better with the thicker A314 oil. About an inch stroke equals a drop. I use it every morning and application takes a couple seconds. The smaller roller works best with thinner oils and alcohol carrier mixes. For some reason the small ball doesn’t get very good traction with heavier oils and needs a couple strokes to get it turning.
This morning i took my A314, i cleaned it in EVERY part including cap, tapping the side of the bottle to make drops remaining come down ecc ecc.
I was VERY VERY accurate, i put it upside down exactly vertically and…
POP! POP! 2 f___ing drops!
I cant test this out if i cant control drops, and this is a terrible issue.
I think im going to buy a roller bottle cause i often have to apply in the car, and the actual dropper makes me STOP in a plain terrain and lose 2-3 minutes for an unaccurate applying.
I have the same problem as well - Except I find it worst if you hold the bottle near-vertical. IME, it needs to be closer to 45° to drop with any reliabillty. Even then, you still get the occasional dollop.
Check the bottle nozzle before you do it, like I said there’s a vent in there and if it’s pointing up the airflow will be too smooth and the liquid will pour instead of drop.
Also if the liquid contents are bridging across the vent like a bubble it may not work right away and you get a huge sudden series of rapid drops. I suggest holding the bottle right side up and gently tapping the bottom against something to help clear the vent and then apply.
