If you’ve used A314 during winter months, you know how dad dinged difficult it is to get a drop outta the dropper thingie. Shake 'n jerk a dozen or so and a wimpy bead 'o joy issues forth. It’s the dead of winter here in Honolulu and temps are dropping into the 70s at night. So my A314 flows like 100 weight motor oil. We call it a 2-sheet night.
So I just got a new 15 ml bottle of A314 today, and my old bottle is still about 30% full. I have plenty of empty Scent of Eros roll-on bottles and decided to pop the top 'n pour the remainder of the old A314 in. Hot damn, that little ball delivers and pronto! Ma smear test says 3 or 4 inches of roll-on equals roughly one healthy drop 'o A314. One second apps are a reality and I’m in hog heaven.
If you don’t have any old Scent of Eros roll-on bottles (incidentally a great combo with A314 for work), no fret as many organic and health food stores sell them in the EO section (check out Wild Oats).
Thanks, Gegogi. Kinda surprise to read this from you knowing you, just like I, dislike the cloudy stuff in the SOE bottle. I thought you’d prefer the AE dropper bottle.
I have no problems with contamination. You just gotta learn to not roll from your main supply. That is, I fill the roll bottle 1/4-1/3 full so there isn’t enough rolls to significantly contaminate the goodies. Plus I usually apply right after a shower and have little arm hair.
Its really winter here in MN, snowing, cold and stupid. I hate the winter. I find my A314 to be a little slower coming out too. One teqnique i noticed to work well with the oil dropping bottle is to spin it with my fingers above the applications point (99% of the time for me its applying 2-4 drops on the wrist prior to dabbing behind the ears and rubbing the rest over the tops of my hands.
30 degrees here is a heatwave. Then add the windchill. Those -40F WC days are a real bracer. If you walk around enough to build up some heat the perspiration etc freezes my pantlegs till it feels like I’m wering a pair of stovepipes.
2-sheets? More like 6 blankets. Wool. And a cat or two.
I scored some decent roller-tops off eBay (I do have a couple of old SOE bottles to play with too.)
Have been thinking about transferring oil-based stuff to them… just never got a round tuit.
Some of the Love Potions perfumes came in roll tops I hear although none I’ve ordered have. Been thinking of moving some of those to my roll-tops as well, as soon as I determine which ones I like well enough to do so.

Yeah its been getting relatively cold here, and windy! Today, atleast on the leeward side, its been windy and rainy and miserable all day. Makes for good waves on the north shore though.
Sprays can be a mixed thing. I sometimes like beign able to cover a wide area with a pheromone product, but there ate times I’d like to be a bit more conservative with some of the more expensive products, or those products that I’m aiming to deliver to specific “targets” or have some control in the “delivery” (eg putting on only one wrist so I can dangle it under a certain person’s nose and not someone elses.).
I’m also starting to think some of the oil-based products should be offered in roll-on as an option to the “droppe insert” bottles. The “reducer” bottles like a314 comes in can be frustratingly slow to deliver.
I think the roll on for oil based products is great. New people may have to work a little harder to gage the dosage but once they figure it out I think its a good approuch.
LS sells empty roll on bottles in there kits area for something like $1.50 a bottle. I always pick up a few when I order my EOW so I can make some oil based mixes.
I never use the alcohol based stuff in a roll on because it tends to leak and come out to fast.
Maybe someday they will offer all products in your choice oil based or alcohol based.
