After a year of pheromones, were my hits real or just placebo?

Alright, here’s my background with pheromones.

I ordered my first pack about 1 year ago around this time. At first I was amazed, and noticed I was getting signs that they were actually working. I ordered more over the months and now I have quite a bit, however, lately I’ve felt like I wasted my money.

I haven’t ordered pheros in a while because I haven’t been using them in months (I’ve been sitting at home the past few months for surgery, so no real need), but anyways. I started to wonder, what if the “hits” I got were all in my head? This whole pheromone thing seems really silly if you think about it.

I know I know, you’re going to say you have to make the pheromones work, and that they don’t work by themselves. But think about it, if you actually make an effort without the pheromones, doesn’t that get you the same result?

I’m starting to think pheromones just induce the placebo effect. You think they are working so it naturally gives you more confidence. Even if these pheromones are real, I’ve noticed very little effects using them. The difference is so little that I wonder if the they are even worth the price.

Can anyone possibly convince me otherwise? Are pheromones really worth the price? I understand that they aren’t magical love potions… but I’m starting to think the reason why the price is so high is because people look to buy these pheros with high expectations and they believe the price reflects their effectiveness.

Are pheromones only worth it for the really ugly/seemingly hopeless people? Are they nearly useless for the at least decent to attractive looking people? No offense intended, I’m just curious.

Did you order pheromones from Androtics one year ago, or another company?

The reason I ask, is because Androtics pheromones are so strong that I find it difficult that you would not be able to perceive the changes that happen when you use them.

Yes, it was androtics.

I thought maybe I was doing something wrong… but I don’t know. I never really sprayed too much on at once… but I’ve only tried them at work and in public places like the store, bank, etc.

I have noticed changes, but as I said, it is difficult to tell if it’s the pheromones at work, if it’s a coincidence, or if it’s all in my head.

If you are asking me to prove your experience, I can’t do that, as much as I can’t prove mine. The fact of the matter is pheromones are real and there are effects, but you and I can attribute more or less to them as the art of observation is just that, an art, not a science. I actually think it is part of both.

In my latest report, I questioned the hit got, but in the end, the observer will have to evaluate and there can be no “proof” in itself, but you can test and see what reactions you get and gauge them against non-pheromone usage times.

You can have placebo effect, but I can tell you there will be times (like my MX302 test) where it is hard, very hard to deny the effects of pheromones. See my post “I need an adult”. It was the observation of my friend that put it over the top, as her actions had him wondering WTF? He also had no idea I was wearing MX302. Proof? No. Not by a long shot. But I can tell you that is not common behavior toward me. I have had effects where confidence had nothing to do with the reaction I observed. I am hardly performing the scientific method, but I have had observable successes and failures, that personally rules out the placebo effect being the only effect. One of my work hits still leaves me amazed how it worked and better yet, it was observed by coworkers too.

As for looks, pheromones won’t make you attractive to someone where you’re not in their ballpark of attractiveness. It just doesn’t happen. I read and read this forum and by the time I made my second order, I knew that pheromones were a tool and nothing more. So if you are morbidly obese and all around repulsive, the best pheromone is going to do pretty much nothing for you. If I use a product that elicits a response from a girl and I can’t back that up, it’s over.

As to cost, look around and you will see some scams and good companies with prices that might give you perspective. Are pheromones cheap? No, but given they aren’t a mass market soda, I don’t expect them to be priced in that way. In most cases, they are cheaper than the colognes I buy. Lastly, you’re 18. You are producing a lot of pheromones naturally as it is, so you have to work out what works for you.

Testing is the best way. In the end, the usage is a personal choice, so you have to feel it is worth it.

To me the effect is so obvious as to be no question.

I am already an outgoing person, with no problems approaching men or women or anyone, for that matter. I am also an excellent student of human behavior.

The pheromones do not offer me the confidence to do anything, I already got brass ones in most social situations… What I am observing is the obvious change in behavior in others, as well as how I feel.

Its not like a “Oh, I sorta feel like maybe I might be a little more aggressive.”

It is a plain as day, absolutely obvious change in consciousness. Its like… You ever been drinking and asked yourself, “Am I drunk yet?”

You know when you are.

Perhaps you should experiment with them again, and see how they work out.

You know they work when she says “why did I just say that?!” a high amount of nol to an already outgoing girl and you’ll have your proof

Placebo effect… eh I call BS… I’m the same no matter what… sometimes I forget I’m wearing them honestly then something out of the ordinary will happen

If you really wanna know change your signature dramatically IE from purely sexual to social and you will notice the changes

There isn’t always noticeable effects on “Introverted” people but if you open with them they will feel strangely comfortable with you

If you don’t believe they work, stop using them: you’re wasting your time, effort and money. And you’re right, to work effectively, you have to work it. Mones are like buying a nice guitar. Sure the guitar has the potential of making beautiful music. But can’t play itself. It needs you to play it. And you need to study and practice your ass off to realize the potential of that fine instrument. And, you guessed it, to succeed socially, professionally and romantically takes a lot of work. Mones merely give you an edge and one up, but you still gonna get out there and do the grunt work. Otherwise you and that nice guitar just sit in the corner collecting dust…

Wow, Gegogi. Nice metaphor. Apt.

But then again, this is a metaphor that can apply to so many things in life…

:frowning: …

They work better for normal/attractive people than for ugly ones because with the latter, things would be incongruent. Maybe if you are outrageously attractive, you get less use out of sexual mones, but even then, socials will still keep you from coming across as snooty/jerk/arrogant. And there are by the way so many good looking people that hardly stand out at all.

I am very confident and good looking and they work well for me. What does happen is that when people have seen you with pheros a few times have certain expectancies and then you don’t really need to wear them all the time to get the same effect.

I think everyone before me has already shared something concise and very to the point without criticizing the dude.

All I have to say is people like to attribute all their success and lack of success
to the “gear” they use and possess. I’m a good recreational racquetball player and I tend to play with a more expensive racquet than my cohorts. If a guy or guys I play with EVER bring up my racquet being the reason for their demise I go over to them and make them give my racquet a try while I use their racquet.
I continue to show them who’s boss just to relieve them of the ignorance
they harbor.

Mones are simply gear to me I still gotta bring the heat and own the situation no matter what I face whether it be strangers, family, friends.

I don’t know that I agree with that statement. I’m pretty damn ugly and without the pheromones helping with my self esteem (as well as making me ‘appear’ more attractive to people) it’d be a lot more difficult for me to get anyone to talk to me much less get romantic with me.

I have used the pheromones to help me feel more confident and be comfortable expressing who I really am just as much as I have used them to make others more open to me. I really think that even us butt ugly guys can use pheros quite well to our advantage. My ex-girlfriend was WAY out of my league based only on her looks but the pheros opened the door to get to know me as a person. Once she got to know me as a person, she realized that I’m great guy worth having around. She mentioned several times how normally she wouldn’t have looked twice in my direction but there was something about me that she couldn’t put her finger on that drew her to me. Once I knew that she was interested, I made a point of going phero free around her to see if the attraction was ‘real’. She might not have been tearing my clothes off quite as often (still quite often) but she was still very interested in me as a person. The pheros definitely helped to open the door but it was up to me to step through it.

If anything, us ugly people can benefit MORE from the help of the pheros. Not only for self improvement but also to show the ‘attractive’ people that we do have something to offer.

I suspect benefit from moans are directly proportional to the effort you put into your endeavors. It’s not a rich or poor, ugly or hot, etc., thing. You do nothing and nothing happens. You build and earn your success in life and mones will enhance your persona if you’re actually willing and able to get out there and kick a little ass to get ahead.

you mean ahead with women and dating, or business and career?

That is so very true!

I’ve put a lot of energy and focus into becoming who I perceive as a better person. The pheros have been an invaluable tool in that endeavor but they haven’t done it for me.

I’m pretty sure he is referring to all areas of a person’s life.

You know I don’t know if I really adddressed the OP, but yeah, I think placebo effect does contribute to all this. I think “placebo effect + real science behind mones = truly powerful stuff”… some people forget that placebo effect is real, and it does increase whatever you believe by many factors. It is synsergistic to what is already happening with pheros.. Most physicians too will tell u how powerful placebo can be… just surprised how no one acknoweldges how powerful placebo effect can be… it can even lead to remission of some cancer. No one knows the mechanisms for that, but it does happen … I know that mones work, not just placebo, because I have gotten many DIHL’s from people, especially with Ammo.

I agree with both Snoopy’s and Gegogi’s statements. I also consider my self to be er, not so attractive and I definitely feel that pheromones (along with what Gegogi said) help a lot.

In addition, you must put effort into understanding pheromones themselves. There are lots of different combinations of pheromones with different uses and different effects. You can’t just order a a few pheromone products, apply a few sprays, and then go to the super market expecting instant hits. (If you get lucky and stumble upon a good combo by accident, it may happen though.) It takes some effort to select the proper product to accomplish what you want to accomplish with pheromones.

Yep, this too. That’s why I always say that balance is key and that it’s VERY important to test things out ALONE, so you can understand the effects before mixing it with something else. And even when you think something may work out well on paper (like for example a mix you thought of making before actually trying it) chances are it really won’t work out in a real life test run. It may if you happen to get lucky, but only after constant tweaking and probably even deducing one (or in some cases some) pheromone/s and/or dose/s that mix idea will actually work.

Another thing that is obvious to know, is that of course not every mix will work as well as it did on someone else.
