I just got my sample of Akuto. Yeah, I love it. I’ll be definately using it with my pheromone sprays!
It defaults to cologne only.
Due to a rather enormous price increase on the cost of our scents, and the reworking our our suppliers contract, that option will soon be removed or significantly altered. We’re being forced to offer the scents in full priced products only.
Will they be sold as individual colognes then?

Well just recieved my USPS package.. apparrently it was found in another departments mail. So anyway I tried out the Akuto so far for an hour, after doing a 10k run and showering real good.
I’d have to say it feels real great to wear it right after cleaning up as it definetely reinforces the “clean” smell. As for the “dirty” part.. nothing about it strikes me as smelling “dirty” up close. Hmm I wonder where you got that or am I missing something?
When we refer to a “dirty” note in the fragrance world, it is one which is darker, and somewhat spicy. Most orientals/florientals or aldehydes feature these heavily.
Normally top notes, which are your initial first 15 minutes of your fragrance or cologne, are the fresher lighter tones, your heart notes are the impression you get for the next 2-3 hours, and unless your skin is incredibly dry, the final sillage of the base notes will come in around the 4th hour. On a drier skin, the base note can come in faster than that.
Any cologne or fragrance which does not give you a MINIMUM of three hours, is not worth the the cardboard of its packaging - seriously.
Heart (or middle as people in the US call them) notes and base notes are normally the darker spicier ones. The ones which really hook us.

Thanks Ail that actually helps out alot. It seems at first all that knowledge about colognes and stuff is like talking about things like wine. So many complicated things to know. I should take a class on stuff like this or something.
I was right on the mark then.. as what I’ve been smelling since I’ve been on work is a sort of spicy ness… as time went on the base note of Akuto had a heavier (muskier) spiciness to it.
When I first read about dirty and smelled it I thought that the only possibly closest thing that could come to “dirty-sex” would be androstenone+copulins.. which I thought of as having sweaty, wallbanging sex with a bunch of girls.
I’d have to say though that Akuto seems to be a more refined fragrance; something more classy. It reminds me of romances and sweet seductions.. of lone travelers in expensive classy hotel bars waiting to have a fling between the sheets!
