All Gone :( Leakage/Evaporation

I respect that this is AD’s forum and that this is paid for and moderated by them. While there are many good companies out there I won’t mention them out of respect.

There was a time when nothing was in stock for AD. I had to buy AMMO at 2-3 bottles at a time because I didn’t know when the molecules are going to be there. This is still a great company IMO, and also while agree to tisha’s responses, the only thing I can say is that there are some to go’s that I have never used and they’ve just simply evaporated. I’ve kept them in a cool dry place this entire time just to see the contents evaporate. I’ve mentioned this problem over and over again in the forum, through Steve, and even the webcasts and I know that they are trying to work on it but it is frustrating to say the least.

yeah, my MX430 is all gone now. Last time a checked, a couple of days ago, there was about 1.5ml, which is almost 1/3 of a bottle. I posted here about it. Haven’t used since then, stored upright, capped, in a dark cupboard, cool room. Just gone. It was a freebie, so I’m cool with that, I’m just amazed how untight must they be if so much alcohol can evaporate that quickly. Still, AD has been good for me so far, I think I’ll just ignore the thought of buying any ToGos and will try to get whatever I can in 30ml bottles.

Yeah, but MX’s are to go’s, putatives like P83 (whenever it’s in stock) may only be offered in to go’s and a full bottle of IH now costs +100 bucks…

I see your point, but isn’t this what a “To-GO” is for? I mean they’re to carry on the go. In your pocket, in your car console… etc. If I wanted to buy stuff to sit on my dresser upright I would buy a full size bottle.

Maybe name them something different instead of To-Go’s? When I was a new member and knew nothing about Leakage I would assume these bottles would be appropriate for carrying around in the pocket, console, a gym bag… whatever due to the name and size.

Also… THEY DO LEAK. I have had a bottle of A314 for one week and it is nearly gone now. I think I used two sprays? Last time I grabbed the bottle the liquid was all over it… not just under the cap. I smelled my hands and it was straight A314 to-go.

I admit you do have a point with how people treat the bottles. I could understand completely if people broke the bottle themselves. But being easy with them and setting them in your pocket, or in your console of your car or anywhere on their side should be acceptable for “To-Go” bottles and not leak. Especially my A414, which I paid $25 for 5mil of fragrance that is now almost gone.

You have a point as well. Its sort of like “instant” though. We know its just a name and it doesn’t work instantly. But both phrases Instant and to-go can be misunderstood.

With all this increase in leaking problems I am wondering if they went back to using the old stock bottles they had trouble with in the past. There was a period when I was Mod a few years ago that this problem was happening a lot because of one particular shipment they bought. They purchased from another dealer and the problem seemed to cease. Maybe they got another bad shipment or decided to use up old stock up because of the obvious current financial issues.

Either way I agree it needs to be addressed and they are losing business because of it.

How about “Leakies” or to put a positive spin on things “Automated stealth pocket diffusion technology”?

Only had one or two leaks from AD, the rest were fine. Perhaps they import their Leakies from China? Surely not!

I’ve also had several leaking bottles, mostly the to-gos, but I have also had one leaking a314 oil bottle that was shipped with a misplaced cap, and one 30ml IS with the same issue (threads not screwed on right).

Of course, Mickaelia has been awesome about getting these replaced and so I’ve continued to purchase the products.

She did mention that AD has attempted to solve this problem with different manufacturers, but with recent feedback are going “back to the drawing board”.

If you intend to pack your chemicals, it’s best to transfer contents into a high quality atomizer you know not to leak. I’ve had good luck with the sliver bullet Sephora atomizers not leaking in my pocket, but often don’t do well with the togo bottles.
