Alright, I want the truth! Do women want sex just as much as men?

Ok, I have heard A LOT, that women ENJOY sex more than men (multiple orgasms… maybe) but do they WANT sex more or just as much as men do? Seriously, honest question. I have talked to a few girls about this at parties ect, and they all always say that they enjoy sex a lot, but I never really get an answer out of them when I ask if they have the urge to have sex (keep in mind we are usually a little tipsy when I ask these questions lol).

So guys, girls, whoever, jump in, I want the truth, or your dishonest opinions, whatever.

yes, notice how they moan more. But because women has to be much more selective them men. meaning we can go from diffrent women everyday and get them knocked up and still keep going. Women do not have a liberty of that. They have to select a men that will be able to support her and the child if need be. And they don’t want to look like a “whore” or look easy in front of other girls, so their “bitch-shield” will be up making it harder to pick-up. So it’s better to meet girls at day to day places rather then bars. because thier "bitch shield will be down.

TWEACH,

I BELIEVE SOME WOMEN ENJOY SEX AS MUCH AS MEN. I AM 47 AND IN THE PRIME OF MY LIFE. I AM HIGHLY SEXED AND LOVE TO REACH MULTIPLE ORGASMS. WE DO OFTEN HAVE TO PUT UP A BITCH SHIELD SO THAT WE DO NOT BECOME LABELED AS WHORES. ANY OTHER LADIES LIKE TO REACH MULTIPLE ORGASMS OR HIGHLY SEXED? IS THIS NORMAL AT THE AGE OF 47?

I think women get the same basic urges as men. It is just that we are socialized to ignore them most of the time. I mean, boys pass around Playboys (and Penthouse and others) and porn when they hit puberty. It is considered cool and expected for them to act out sexually and to check out girls. There is no peer pressure for a girl to act on sexual urges–quite the opposite.

A girl is encouraged to focus on being desired and what others think of her; she is not encouraged much to focus on what she desires or thinks of herself. Personally, I don’t think that is fair or healthy. And I’m glad to see it slowly changing.

If you want to apply this to a pickup situation, I’d recommend being very non-judgmental–about everything really. Respond calmly and positively to even the slightest sexual initiation of your target. Encourage her to talk about what she likes and what she finds “sensual.” (We are often more comfortable with that word because it can apply to anything that feels good.)

My two cents–and definitely does not apply to all women! After all, we are half the population and come in millions of variations.

Kitten

I think we (most of us, not all) do … sometimes. Like maybe in puberty, or when ovulating, or right before our periods, or in that hot testosterone flare before menopause. Maybe not as urgently as men do, on average.

I think most of us don’t think about sex as often as do men of the same age. But of course what’s average is meaningless.

I agree that we (again, with exceptions) enjoy sex at LEAST as much as men do, probably more.

Also, I think that while there’s no denying the constant sexual urges that you will feel as a man, there’s a lot to be said for the influence of media (as always) around us. I know that if you have pictures of pink elephants on half the billboards and advertisements in LA, then you’re gonna think about a damn pink elephant. Even if it’s just to think about how much you hate pink elephants now. It’s a similar case for women too, only slightly different.

As Kitten was saying, women are pressured to be desired (cosmetics, beauty magazines, etc..) and to express their femininity in that manner, whereas men are (I feel) constantly pressured to express our masculinity through sexual expression.

Is it possible that women want sex as much as we would normally, but we are pressured to have increased levels of sexual activity as a result of advertisements?

As in, do we drink 8 glasses of water a day because we are thirsty or because we are told to? And if women are only drinking 4 glasses of water a day, are they drinking less because they are less thirsty or because they are told to be less thirsty?

Totally agree with Kitten.

Personally I would have sex everyday if life allowed. When I was a single (which wasnt that long ago) I felt a lil whorish with my sexual urges and my interest in a couple of men to fufill them. However I didnt take my urges up as often as I would have liked because I am a girl and I didnt want to be labelled as dirty…

So yah Id say us girls are as sexual aware as men but we learn to supress it…

haha i love how guys can be labeled as player (or prevs for that matter) yet nothing changes bout how other guys look at u.

(i dont know bout girls though) never really thought bout it this way. never asked a girl before. yet at school many r whorish but if there really hot well… not many guys really mind that much

i c wat people r getting at though. i understand, just never really thought of it in this way. good q

Speaking about sex, I would like to share this:

Health Benefit of Sex

Good Vibrations: Uncovering the Health Benefits of Sex

If you are already eating your fruits and vegetables, exercising and taking your vitamins, you might ask what more you can do for your health. One answer might please you: Have more sex.

While the impact of sexual activity on health is not a major topic of research, common sense and a handful of studies suggest that sex can be good for your health. So consider these potential fringe benefits the next time the opportunity for (safe) sex arises:

Erotic Exercise
Even though sex probably involves less energy expenditure than most aerobic exercise, it can give you a workout, depending upon how vigorous it is. After all, sex, and particularly orgasm, involves the contraction of muscles in the arms, legs and abdomen. Also, your heart and breathing rates rise when you are sexually aroused just as they do when you exert yourself on the playing field or at the gym. Another bonus is that you’re likely to drift off into a deep, luxurious sleep after you tire yourself out.

Since sex requires some stamina, it appears that people who are physically fit may be more likely to have satisfying sex than people who simply shift from their office chair to their couch. Regular exercise may make sex better because it improves muscle tone, cardiovascular fitness and mental health.

A Happy Heart
British researchers who looked at about 900 middle-aged men found that men who had sex twice or more a week had a lower risk of heart attack over the course of 10 years than men who had sex less often. The study was published in 2002 in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health. The cardiovascular boost may be from the sex itself, or may be because men who are in better physical condition have regular sex, so their heart attack risk is already lower.

For Her
One study suggests that sexual activity might prevent endometriosis, a common gynecological condition that occurs when the tissue lining the inside of a a woman’s uterus grows in other places, such as on the ovaries or fallopian tubes. This growth can cause pelvic pain and sometimes infertility. The study, published in 2002 in the journal Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation, found that women who were sexually active during menstruation were 1.5 times less likely to develop endometriosis than women who didn’t have sex during their periods. The researchers also found that orgasm during menstruation lowered risk.
According to study author Harvey J. Kliman, MD, PhD, a research scientist at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, anything that contributes to menstrual debris going backwards into pelvis might increase risk for endometriosis. The contractions of the uterus that occur during sex, and specifically orgasm, may help push the menstrual debris out of the uterus, Dr. Kliman explains.

For Him
While sexual activity has been thought to increase risk of prostate cancer, newer research, including a study published April 7 in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), indicates that frequent ejaculation might help protect the prostate from cancer. This study supports a smaller Australian study from 2003 that found that that men in their 20s who ejaculated more then five times a week were one-third less likely to develop aggressive prostate cancer than men who ejaculated four to seven times a month. Ejaculating regularly might lower risk because cancer-causing substances get flushed out of the body in the seminal fluid, instead of staying in the prostate.

Stress Relief
Satisfying sexual activity can, of course, be an exhilarating mood lifter. If you’re in a relationship, says Carol Rinkleib Ellison, PhD, a San Francisco–based psychologist and author of Women’s Sexualities, sex can “bring the relationship into harmony and make you and your partner feel closer, so you feel less stressed and more relaxed.” And whether you are having sex with a partner or masturbating, orgasm itself can also help release tension. The surge of a hormone called oxytocin that occurs during orgasm may account for the both the stronger emotional connection and the tension relief. Oxytocin appears to regulate blood pressure and temperature and even relieve pain and promote the healing of wounds. Dr. Ellison compares orgasm to “re-booting” your body and mind just as you would re-start a computer. But she notes that focusing on orgasm too much can be stressful and sometimes self-defeating. Instead, people should think about successful sex as “mutual erotic pleasure in whatever form it takes.”

Yes they do…honestly…that’s the truth.

That would be like Christmas!

sorry for my language but that is fu*king great mohammad. soooo if i dont want a heart attack i could have (safe) sex like 2 times a day. haha works for me.

PS iv never heard of that word “safe” before. lol

PPS: bella who is stopping u?

Often, a women’s desire for sex may depend on the interest she has in a particular man. When I was single, I found obviously that I was generally more interested in sex when I had a crush on someone.
I agree with previous postings, we are just as interested as men, but may have been dissuaded by society from acting upon it. Maybe this is wrong, but I would LOVE to have more that one husband - but in this day and age, I would probably get run out of town!

Plus, sometimes we are sexually attracted to people who just don’t feel that way about us- the vibe aint there.

It all comes down to chemistry, baby!

Err…I think 3 times a day would be better! More “exercise”!

oh yessssss we are just like men with the sex!!!
and Mohamed is so right it is sooo good for your health read that…
plus another thought… make sure you eat good quality fresh food and fruits it shows in the taste of the ejaculation for both male and females…

I cant speak for the rest of them but I do. I probably think about it more then most men, LOL :stuck_out_tongue:

Too much Horny Goat Weed, Mohammed?

I’ll say!

Find yourself a Gemini…that’s what I did. LOL

Err..err..can’t blame me though! Flaming was advertising this stuff on the other thread! . I guess, I just can’t resist the “goodness” of it! (But I swear I’m a good boy!:stuck_out_tongue::smiley: )

Indeed you are…

yea sure   i can believe that…

So, Bond. Isn’t anyone going to ask… Is that pic really you?
