Always remember to B+

:open_mouth: I did, that is 25 miles!!! When they (gps) go wrong they can go very wrong, mine is a magellan, was yours?

I looked up Maine animals sounds and the sound I have heard the past few nights sounds like a lynx, no wonder the animals are spooked, and the size of it. I had never heard the sound before, it was loud and frightening. It is unusual for one to be this south, and it was very noisy, breaking small branches, instead of being quiet and graceful, which makes me think it is young or injured.I didnt think it was a cat, because lynx sound is so strange. Gonna keep pets close to home, these cats are fourty pounds and as big as my large dog. Also keep the screens closed up. I will give it some time to move on, if it lingers a few more days I will call animal control. It is much less scarey than a wolverine, but would still be a bit dangerous, given the right occasion. I wouldnt want to meet up in my yard, especially if it is hurt.

Tomorrow is my interview, doo dah, doo dah, gonna IO and IH, shine makes me much too silly. I have been emailed an enormous form to fill out, it is half filled and so annoyingly long, sigh…gotta finsh it up.Hate forms like these, the tiny little places to write in the smallest cramped looking info no one can read any way. I am typing it, but the font size changes with each tiny little annoying box.argh.

Omg, is that how Magellan “found” America? Had a dodgy star night or a hundred?! Mine was a Garmin. I ended up disregarding it and following my nose. Got back to San Fran, and went on to Oakland and found the place all by myself - without even asking any locals!

=
:D:Ddodgy star night!!! Good for you that you trusted your nose! I dont have a nose to follow what so ever, I can get lost in a parking lot, no directional locator at all in me. I have been map dependent as long as I can remember, till my magellan! and bet that was how America was “found” after all!

5:30
rain
63 degrees during the day, rain all day

3 sprays IO(torso)
2 sprapy IH ( back of neck)
1 spray IS/B tummy area, just for me

Interview went well, and she was more and more impressed with me until she simply offered me the job on the spot, very good hourly salary but part time, however I accepted it. Paid training, bonus ops and the hours 19 will increase to 25 in a few weeks, I can always get more if I want. It is local work a few miles from my home, which is why I said OK. No transportation costs and educational reimbursement so that is good.

Stopped to eat lunch on the way home, and the IH must have kicked in because the wait person, someone who I have known for seven years and have chatted with but have no deep relationship with, unloaded a lot of info- about her antidepressant meds. Surprising both of us. But we chatted afterwards and i think it is OK, she was a little embarrassed I think after she blurted, and I was sad that she seemed to feel that way. But we both left each other in good spirits.

Having the IH on the back of my neck was a good call, I was not overly chatty. I interviewed well, and the person interviewing me went from 'we will call you" to when can you start, to “you are hired!” My salary went from the lowest tier to the highest simply because of a look at her of surprise when she offered less, she said “with your experience, we will give you the higest we offer, and a monthly bonus, and paid training.” I start Monday. All is good except the hours, and so she suggested I get some more, we will negotiate it becuse over 20 hours gets benefits, and I want them. She seemed at the end to really want to make me happy, while I was quiet and calm and could listen well but also talk comfortably.

Not exactly thrilled that I got it, however, sorta knew I would get an offer. Bt a job is good and also they are sincerely nice people and it is in what I do, so. guess a good foot in the door. I just want a bit more work hours. I am certain that the pheremones were a help in taking it to the highest salary for the position available, and geting the position on the spot, instead of a call back. I am lucky and should be more grateful, but somehow feel a bit let down, dont know why. Odd. Any way, Monday is training and I will fill my head with all sorts of information till it is too heavy for my neck and iI will walk sideways and lopsided from now on, and bump into people on the forum. Sorry about that, dont mean to bump into you, it is just that my enormous head weighs too much for my neck now… Bump…ouch…sorry…
So here is a cheer …Hazzah Carol O winner of jobishness…

AWESOME and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Thank you! I think I will enjoy it. And I will wear a bit of social mones- enough to keep the mood upbeat!

nominated? hum-waaaa-why???—gee thanks!!! Dont know why but thanks!:smiley:

congrats!!! especially their decisions on salary - that seems like one not often easily changed!! :open_mouth::smiley:

as for the GPSs - have either of you experienced the GPS built into acuras? TOTALLY useless! i frequent some rather hilly neighborhoods with many narrow streets, and at least 1 in 20 times it directs me to turn right (…off the cliff) :open_mouth: maybe it just hates me? either way, not nice!!

Yes, the salary thing was great, I was so surprised that they had offered less that for a few seconds must have looked it, and perhaps she thought that I wouldn’t take the job so she upped it. I dont know. I would say pheremones helped a lot to get it to that point :slight_smile:

Off cliffs? What, do you have a little imp in your GPS?
I could swear that the little voice gets more and more snide sounding when I get lost lol, it says …“turn around when possible” …sounds ruder and ruder till I think it should say… “YOU IDIOT turn around!!!” yes, also mine takes me to bridges that are out!!! Unfortunately I can’t live without mine, I have no directional senses at all. zero. Nada. none. I am legendary about this, my friends tease me without mercy, that they should tie a bell to me.

Rainy day, 64 degrees, bit chilly
IS/B 2 sprays from to go bottle. torso
s sprays IO torso

Nothing much to do except enjoy the last of summer. Some of the more delicate flowers in my garden have turned brown and the trees have a slight tiinge of yellow now. Veggies still in production, my asparagus is thriving!
Gonna do some grocery shopping. Today both the stove and dryer broke. The stove gave me a big shock- (I already couldn’t use one of the burners, because it had shocked me a week ago, thought it was a bad burner, but now a different one did it, and now I can’t trust it at all) I can still feel the shock from an hour ago, so it was a nasty shock, enough that it could hurt me badly instead of just hurt me, my hand feels strange still, numb and tingly.
New stove time. Then I started to smell burnt wires a bit and dryer died. Argh! Not the breakers, checked them. Just dead. darn it. Already in a bit of laughable state, using a ladder to enter back door till construction is done, no heater, now this too!

Going grocery shopping, bake and stash some snacks for the teen to eat while I am working , (yes he is a bit coddled, I like to cook and feed him, he is tall and thin and feeding him is fun, I like making snacks for family) I gotta get organized again, now that I am going to be busy. I am a bit OCD like, (not really OCD but have the characteristics)- like to make lists, get stuff accomplished, get anxious when I have to get stuff done, ect. Great person to give tasks to, I sigh with relief when I have a completed “to do” list…and wake nights to get up and add to the “to do” list.
any way although I will have oodles of time, and the working hours are laughably tiny, I am still in “to do” mode. Even back wearing a watch , which I take off during summer time.
Going to run around now and pretend I have important things to do a while, just to feel like it.

2:30, some hits at grocery store, one gentleman followed me around to discuss how to cook fish properly, started at fish place, and went on several aisles, till he left, turned atround and came back to discuss breadding on top of the fish! Sweet guy, and told him nicely that I am taken when asked.
One woman, older, in her fifites or sixties, honestly stared at me for about five seconds as if she thought she knew me but couldn’t place where or how she knew me, and seemed uncertain, then realized she was stareing and flushed red and went off.

Now it is time for chef Carol to cook fabulous treats! Really love to cook, it is creative and artistic to me, and I have happy peope to feed, so it gives me a positive feedback loop…and I get the fun and not the calories when I feed other people! Almost always they love my experiments, though curried red potatos didnt pass muster for teen=I thought they were yum, red potatos/onions/curry cooked in a dash butter and lemon juice. Not so for him, he likes em plain and mashed up.

Tonight feast will be consumed.

If i am not wrong… are you a virgo??? looks like at least from this post.

I used to wonder if astrology was for real many years ago so I know what I am but do not believe in it now! I am an Aquarius sun , Sagittarius moon, but also have a well rounded chart, a little of each sign in different places. Not a whole lot of virgo though, any where. My OCD like stuff is just me, quirky me!!
I was very curious about it many years back, so I looked into astrology and what ever I am curious about I go all out and learn as much as I can about it!! I am very passionate about learning new things. To me the best way to learn about personality is Meyers-Briggs though, it seems much more accurate than astrology. Still, Aquarius/Scorpio is a cool mix!

What about you? whats your sign? Do you think it is a lot like you?

What’s your rise? Out of all of those, that’s the most important.

Scorpio rising

Hmmmmmmmmmmm; Scorpio rising and moon? Verrrry interesting . . .

Just did an online chart ( though I dont believe in it)
06 d Scorpio rising,
o7 d Aquarius sun,
moon actually 26d Saggittarius, not Scorpio
mercury 12 d Capricorn,
venus 17d Capricorn,
mars 29 Aries,
jupiter 1 d Libra,
saturn 11 d Sagittarius,
uranus 4 d Leo
neptune 2 d Scorpio
pluto 29 d Leo
n node 26 d Scorpio.

says I am intensely loyal to my friends, which is true, also said I am very brave, and that is true too. but I think it is still nonsense! However will keep open minded, for the sake of my friends, bravely and loyaly, because I am so very brave and loyal…

There is an astronoMER in England that went public with his own study of PROPER astrology. As in the ‘worldly’ day to day and the larger cosmic ‘big picture’ applied astrology.
He spent years in study; relating the two spheres of astrology to properly understand the details, applications and how to interpret. He then worked charts of known quantities - famous individuals for whom all the necessary details were known - both contemporary and historical. He then came to the conclusion (and got himself ostracized from his scientific community) that it is valid.
Just like most things; if you only work with a part of the process or procedure you get inaccuracies and incomplete data. When you understand the whole of the process and apply the whole procedure; then you get a different story.
Remembering that currently, astrologers make no study of astronomy; don’t work the large astro details and movements; and are not required to do anything but download charts - that provide the interpretation without further reference - that’s only a quarter of the story.

I dismissed it for a long time as an amusement. Unfortunately for me; I happened across an astrologer who did all of the above - including a degree in astronomy - and got a rude awakening. :open_mouth:
I still dismiss the “stars” in the magazines and papers; but when you find a dedicated astrologer like that - just as much science as anything else. No offense, Sciencestudent. Lots of things have been dismissed out of hand because the popular applications diminish the effort it takes to master.

Well, if any of this stuff is true about me than I rock!:cool::cool: but the online thing said you are thus and so, then the next paragraph said I am so and thus, contradicting. You are shy, yet not, yet happy, yet sad yet moody yet steadfast…
I do believe there is a lot I do not know. I believe there are mysteries n the world. But, I also believe people are what they make themselves, at least by half. So what about you? What is your rising sign? What does it mean to you? and how does it impact who you are?

Gemini with a Sagittarius rise and a Capricorn moon. The rise is supposed to be how we present to the world - our public face, so to speak. People almost never take me for a Gemini and are surprised when I tell them. But yes, I’m an Airhead. The Capricorn moon is a boon tho’. Underlying practicality. No matter how ‘out there’ my ideas get, the bottom line for me for everything is “so, how do I make this happen? is this feasible? what’s the most efficient way to bring this thing into the world of fascination and wonder?”

If it can’t be done by me; or needs HUGE amounts of money to do so - but I still think it’s cool; I just tell everyone I meet that’s interested in that particular kind of idea in the hopes that sooner or later someone will “have a spectacular idea”.

Sorry for the paragraph sentence.
