Animal musk in Pheromones?

Hi,

I did a search and found a thread about the use of animal products in the pheromones at androtics direct, however I was hoping that someone could clarify something for me.

In this thread someone said that only a314 has deer musk in it.

But as I was looking through the products at ad.com I noticed it said Neroli musk in some of the products.

I was under the impression (from reading other topics) that this was like a fruity scent. But the term musk is throwing me.

Does anyone know for sure if any other products (other than a314) have animal products in them?

It is my understanding that all “musks” used in perfumery these days are synthetic.

Neroli musk is plant based not animal based. Various flowers such as ther neroli have a musky scent to them when concentrated which is why they add the word musk.

Only the old scented A314 had animal musk in it. The musk is not used as part of the pheromone formula it was part fo the scent package.

Oh I see.

So when you say the “old” are you saying that the new version does not contain animal musk?

I only ask as I am a vegetarian (not vegan) but if I can avoid any use of animal products, I do (why I was planning on not buying any A314).

If this is the case than I am very happy :smiley: I have read some great posts about A314 and was quite disappointed.

And if it is, does that mean ALL products at androtics direct are animal product free?

I looked it up and I am sorry but I will have to burst your bubble of happiness. I remembered we had this discussion on the forum and were trying to determine which version had the musk in it. It never did end up being clear.

John (manager) indicated the current A314 had it even though its another scent pack. Jasmin (VP) indicated it was in the scent pack not the pheromone formula back in 2006. They changed the scent of A314 about 2 years ago. I think its Akuto now but the men will correct me if I am wrong. Now in 2010 John indicated that no other product had deer musk in it other then A314 but there are other products that come in akuto so until we know for sure if its the scent pack or the pheromone formula. I cant say with 100% certainty.

I can say …

Nothing in neroli has animal musk in it. The rest of the consumer line comes in neroli. Except AMMO which is more of a cologne. Ask about that one because its a new scent pack as well. I dont believe it has animal musk in it though.

All is not lost if it does have it. IG is very good and has some similar qualities to A314 and comes in neroli.

Ah well that is okay. I can go with out it for a while until things become more clear! And I did get a free IG to-go so that is cool, can try it out.
