scent advice - NO Neroli

Hello,

I would like to get pheromones without Neroli scent.

Reason; I don’t really like the neroli scent so much. I am looking for another scent.

I assume, that some users will argue, that I should not use another scent.
I don’t really understand why you always (mostly) use Neroli for every (most) kind of pheromones. Your choice is Neroli.
Please do a recommendation on another scent (not Neroli).

Proof, that Androtics uses another scent: A314 does not have Neroli, my assumption: the youthful Neroli scent does not suit A314.

Personally I think, that Neroli suits TAA or Instant Shine, but not A314.
Personally I think, that Jil Sander Sun does not suit Marilyn Manson.
Are there other scents, that suits specific pheromoes.

Despite the diffusing issue, what scents (not Neroli) would you recommend for
P74 , P96 , TAC and TAF.

Thank you for your advice.

Its not that Neroli suits a specific phero or product - Its because at 6% you have a scent that settles to barely detectable in a short while but still diffuses well and can be covered by almost any other scent.

Having a common scent for experimental products also provides a common baseline for assessing reports on that product.

Beyond that, you can use any scent you want but you need to be fully aware you are fairly hobbling yourself for diffusion and dose range because you won’t find any other scent as effective at diffusing and as usable over so many sprays - which will impact greatly on any mixes you care to try.

After Neroli, the next most usable scent I’ve tried is Akuto but even that only works because I’ve tested it against my colognes and know the ones it combines well with or not.

I’d hazzard a guess that the reason they used Akuto and musk-modified Akuto (oil) for A314 is that the lightly musky nature of Akuto suits a mature-market product better and it covers the musky breakdown scents of Rone steered with None better and for longer than a lighter scent.

Hello mobocaster,

My English is not very good and I have difficulties to find the right words.

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your effort, but why do you not refer to my questions.

Imagine that: Somebody is asking for the temperature outdoor. Instead of providing him the data , he is recommended to not go outdoor.

I forgot the question mark (?), but the following text was a real question:

I had expected an answer such as:

  • I would recommend Akuto for TAC, because Acuto is a sexual scent as/like the pheromone is
  • I would recommend F23 for P74 because …

Since Wednesday I am awaiting a helpful answer.

That’s not how this works as the scent merely carries the diffusing pheros off your skin. Beyond that, scent is not a complementary part of the whole phero package - although on another level, your cover scent is an important part of the final package for other reasons but that’s a different level of choice that depends on the testing environment to a much greater extent.

The recommendation remains the same - Neroli, because it is the most consistent and predictable diffuser for all pheros. After that, FF21 is maybe the best overall diffuser and it will cover the more stink-prone pheros more effectively and can be used as a cover all by itself but it has a very different diffusion pattern to most other scents, it trails and wisps, as opposed to an even ball. FF23 may be a viable option but it is fairly new, and rather untested for overall diffusion and still a distinctive scent in its own right - I could see it suffering the same problems as FF21 in that it could severely limit the versatility of any mix you use it in.

Until you actually establish your dose range for the pheros you are interested-in, going for any other scent is going to make your life a whole lot more difficult.

Asking the same question in different ways will not get you a different answer for this.

And if you asked about pheros outdoors - I would tell you to keep them inside as much as you could. Diffusion in open air is flaming terrible! :stuck_out_tongue:

Hello again,

I just wanted to know what scents suits specific pheromones (others than Neroli).
Instead of providing a recommendation on scents, Neroli seems to be the holy grail for everything.

Nobody considers my concern, that I don’t like Neroli (I’ already sick of Neroli, cannot smell Neroli anymore).

I feel like visiting a tobacco store and I tell the shop owner, that I don’t want to smoke tobacco. But the shop owner tries to convince me, that I should smoke.
Same here, I want a recommendation on other scents Androtics offers, but nobody cares for my concern.

Sorry for causing Androtics more work. Of course it is easier to dilute pheromones in the DEFAULT Neroli scent as everybody is using the Neroli scent.

The light 6% fragrange when choosing Neroli is bad excuse. You are always able to dilute any other scent to less than 6% (yes also the strong Akuto can be diluted).

I just found a highly reputed pheromone store, that offers pheromone mixes with NO SCENT BY DEFAULT. I will send you the weblink in a PM. Can you explain why they do not use Neroli ? Now I am very curious about your answer.

Please don’t close my account/ bann me. I have send the weblink to another store as a PM only to the member mobocaster in order to find out, why some other stores do not use any scent as a default.

Personally I would only add a scent to a product that you can use as a base in your mix, e.g. A314, Ammo and IG. The putatives and experimones I generally only use as extra steering, so to tweak my mixes to make them perform even better in a specific situation / when I a have a specific goal in mind.

So I think Neroli is perfect for all the putatives and experimones.

I really see no point in wearing P74 , P96 , TAC and TAF in for instance Akuto or FF21. It’s just not very practical, as you will probably never wear these products solo… (maybe TAC in the bedroom, ok)

Hello again,

why not using a diffusion component to EXACTLY match the “Neroli scent” difussion ?

I think it’s a matter of where they want to devote their limited resources. I’m much more familiar with biochemistry than perfumery, but I understand that pheromones benefit strongly from a base/carrier. Androtics spends some time developing these, but having found a good general purpose one (and usable alternatives), they’d rather focus on developing the pheros.

Were I a supplier, I probably wouldn’t think much about the carriers. I’d assume pure diffusion and let the buyers choose their own cover scents. I assume that Androtics knows something about perfumery that I don’t, and it seems unlikely that whipping up an equivalently performing carrier base is trivial. (sorry, I accidentally typed “likely” before by mistake)

The reasons for not using Neroli everywhere might easily be more biochemical than perfume-related (e.g. overly tight binding of an ingredient to a given phero; too polar or aliphatic; chemical reactions like hydrolysis or enhanced stereoconversion)

Don’t get me wrong: I’m not a Neroli apologist. It’s not a scent I would have chosen for myself, but I was satisfied that it was easy to cover – until the peak of summer, when I switched from the aftershave form of my favorite cover to the longer lasting cologne form. I don’t know if it’s the heat, the cologne form, my recent mixes, or even a reaction to my own sweat pH/pheros but I’ve come to find it extremely obtrusive (and sometimes unpleasantly intoxicating) during my midday commute, and I’ve noticed that my recent mixes seem to become more effective after 3 hours. Previously, the Neroli had seemed to settle down after 15 minutes, and hadn’t kicked up as I drove into the city.

I’ve been experimenting with very different cover scents, but I haven’t found a fix. Maybe the problem will solve itself when the weather cools

Have you considered contacting Androtics directly (or their staff via PM?)

I think they use racemic essential orange oil. Pure d-limonene or l-lim.; there are fewer variables. They’ve released lots of MX’s that are just one frag. and one mone.

Answering the OP, you will need to search a bit or call Androtics. Some molecules track back to their MX number. The MX will be one molecule released as different frags., e.g., MXYA, MXYB, where MXY is one molecule and A and B are diff frags. Your question is somewhat proprietary. Some of the data is on the forum, but it will require effort to find it.

P75 does this. Some auto-oxidation, I think. Odiferous bacteria don’t proliferate on the forearms or neck, so that’s an unlikely culprit. Dark, moist, clothing-covered areas are a different matter.

I’m not going to get technical here. However, if I grab a coded “research” molecule from over yonder, unscented, with only the molecule and the ethanol, it will take me a hot minute to discover that molecule. Proprietary molecules like P96 keep Androtics in business. Androsterone is worthless to protect with such measures. But phero vendors would sell babies into white slavery to get P96. People who know lab techniques that I’m not going to go into here. That weblink…they like to decode putatives…“clears throat”…aka “research molecules,” so they can order them from a lab and sell them. To make money. It’s always easier to copy than run a research forum for 10 years and ship $100K in GC’s and free P102 testers. Some Androtics methods are precautions against commercial piracy.

And I’m saying that because some websites have explicitly stated decoding putatives as a mission on the site. Suppose you spent your money to research P96? This is how you make your living. If I reverse engineer it and sell it, you’re good with that, right? If you write a book, you’re OK if I sell royalty-free copies? Selling scented mones with DPG makes it cost prohibitive to reverse engineer.

Find a fragrance you like and spray it on your skin. Dry it. Spray neroli over it. You’ll not smell the neroli. Mobo is correct. Stay indoors.

Sorry, earlier, I typed that it seemed likely that creating an equivalently performing base was trivial. I meant “unlikely”

I think I’ll subscribe to this thread. Wanna know where this one will lead to.

try grapefruit, good diffusion and smell better than neroli
