I have noticed recently that other websites have started to offer androstenedione it kits to make your own pheromone mixes. I have used this before as a supplement but never as a pheromone. I am sure Androtics hs this as one of the putitives but they are definitely not going to tell us which one it is. I was wondering does anyone have experience using androstenedione as a pheromone?:o
I tried it without concluding anything. It has other topical uses.

Whoa now! That’s androstadienone in Instant Female Magic, Jay. One of the most studied pheromones, commercially and academically. (search for it at PubMed Home to bring up the studies)
Different molecule, entirely.
Androstenedione, on the other hand, has been illegal for sale or use for any purpose (including perfuming/pheromoning) in the US since January 20th, 2005. Bodybuilders called it 4AD. We’re not going to get busted just to use it in a product! We have too many legal ones to use.
If you’re in a country where 4ad still legal, it could be worth playing with.

Oh right, I see my mistake. Hehe, yeh, Androstenedione is used for body building as a prohormone if I remember correctly. I dont think they banned it because its used as a pheromone, but rather because people swallow pills of it. Im just wondering, jas, what other molecules do you use that we dont know about …? Are there any exotic/unusual ones in any mixes or products?
There are tons of unique molecules we use. Over the past 5 years, we’ve found over 30 completely new ones that are useful, and far more than that don’t seem to have a place for normal uae. You can find them in the T and P series. Each is a single, unique molecule, almost none of which you’ve heard of before. They’re propriety to us.
We also have another 19 putative pheromones or so we haven’t released yet. We’re thinking of releasing one a week a little later this summer.

I tested androstenedione as a pheromone about a year before the federal ban went into effect… powerful and nasty… just butt ugly nasty vibrations, like take everything wrong about -none and quadruple it… I would NOT use it nor go near it, even if it were legal…

now that we’re practically swimming in putatives, maybe, possibly it would help if we had a sorting grid into basic categories, like, male—neutral—female as derived from their structure… I’m already overwhelmed by the combinations, their inteaction with colognes-perfumes-oils-fragrances, their evaporation points…

Have you considered offering larger bottles of “binder juices” ? I don’t have access to small quantites of the advanced materials used in cosmetics… the things I have experimented with are promising, like monolauin, incroquat, etc… which produce a sort of silky, waxy drydown… surely the industry has this problem too, how do you control the expression of a volatile ?
It’s a prohormone, a precursor to testosterone … the substance that got Mark McGwire into trouble when he hit 70 home runs.
I actually did the same simply by accident (ie. used a topical transdermal spray of 4AD). Effects were deffinately very sharp. Perfect for a hostile takeover meeting or a violent robery. It felt kinda good really… plus the actual prohormone effects as well 
So… I would tend to defer to tacitus. But neither Mak nor I had the same scary footbool hooligan vibe going that he encountered. I wonder if he was using a different isomer or something.

Yep, I haven’t been inclined to experiment much more with it given we have all the shiny new putatives to explore. Which I guess tells you that the effects aren’t that consistent. Still, I believe it’s the primary ingredient in Chikara and do think it’s doing something potentially useful there. One might get better, more consistent results by incorporating it as part of a more balanced mix, but obviously for US-based users there are those regulatory issues that might inhibit exploration by too many people.

Note that ‘3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid’ is known as the major stinky component of human sweat. Looking at the good feedback I really want to try -Nedione with 3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid.
