I won’t be able to tell what’s the problem but to use the 3G system, you need to have these three:
- A 3G cellphone (2110-2170 MHz)
- A 3G SIM Card
- An area which has the 3G coverage.
I won’t be able to tell what’s the problem but to use the 3G system, you need to have these three:
My father’s work got the truck driver the 3G phone, and its a 3G phone with a 3G sim… But something about this blue tick, that means this phone will be able to work in the country as well as the usual 3G features… Thats what my father tells me… His same work organized one for him since he found out about this ‘blue tick on the box’ thing, and being sure he got a phone with this blue tick on the box he has no problems getting phone signal in areas normally covered by the old CDMA network.
Don’t ask me why it’s set up like that, it’s weird…
Hmmm…I’m beginning to wonder about this “Blue tick”

Think it’s a better quality receiver & aerial that allows its range to be extended further. Can’t find any real info on it other than a few very vague mentions. In short, it doesn’t need as much signal as a phone without the tic to be able to make use of the available signal (from what I’ve read).
Oh! I see. That probably is the logical explanation of it.
Yah. I just can’t work out why they don’t do that with ‘all’ the 3G phones. What happens when the city bugga wants to head out into the country and finds their phone don’t work? Must cost more, or sumfink to make the blue tick phones… No idea~!
It got to do with the frequency range factor. If your dad still has the manual book, you can check the range of frequency. It might differs from a normal cellphone. Just my thought.
We turned this topic to a car one
so i will ask here.
Does anyone have observations from “Export Trader” website ?
I am thinking of getting a car from there.
I don’t have any idea on this…hope that someone who knows better can kindly reply to this.
Man using GPS drives into path of train
BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. (AP) — A Global Positioning System can tell a driver a lot of things — but apparently not when a train is coming.
A computer consultant driving a rental car drove onto train tracks using the instructions his GPS unit gave him. A train was barreling toward him, but he escaped in time and no one was injured.
The driver had turned right, as the system advised, and the car somehow got stuck on the tracks at the crossing. He jumped out and tried to warn the engineer by waving. He got out of the way just before the train slammed into the car at 60 mph, Metro-North railroad spokesman Dan Brucker said Thursday.
The car was pushed more than 100 feet during the fiery crash.
Some 500 train passengers were stranded for more than two hours during the Wednesday evening rush hour. The accident also heavily damaged 250 feet of rail, Brucker said.
The railroad spokesman said that the driver was issued a minor summons for obstructing a railroad crossing and that he and his rental company would be liable for the damage, estimated in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

lol..
Like the joke with an administrator in the elevator.. 12 floor - presses 1 and 2 and searches for enter ![]()
Ha!Ha!Ha!
This is what happens when a computer consultant trusted his computer (the GPS) instead of his brain. So, he “met” the train!

Did he really expect the train to stop?

Hey Buddy! Thanks a lot for the link!![]()
How come I didn’t notice this post? I’m a member of this GPS forum too LOL!

The MIO H610 system certainly is tricky unlike some other MIO models, but having genius like you around, is truly ‘a gift’ from God!

Reps for you!![]()
Guess what, Eldros? The MIO manufacturer told me that they can’t help to get the model working with Malaysia map for me to use because it is against MIO’s policy! The MIO Map covers North America, Western & Eastern Europe based on the Hungarian iGO mapping software. The unit is Taiwan made an Asian country and they don’t bother to cover Asian countries!
A few months ago, when I told them to cover Malaysia & Singapore, they say that it is a “good suggestion” and they “will look into it”! ![]()
Oops, my bad. I’m sure there’s an alternative.
Last time I was in El Lay Jazinater got me a Garmin so I wouldn’t get lost. Worked like a charm.
Except one night when I went to this local place she told me about on the Sunset Strip. I met some friends who invited me to the newest trendy club in town. They had a stretch limo outside and it wasn’t the leased kind, it was daddies.
Well only problem there was I drove so I had to move the Jeep or risk towing. I decided I would meet them at the club so off I went. I couldn’t find parking within a mile so I accidentally got on a road which took me ona HWY to another HWY and before you knew it I was in Pasedana or something. I was completely lost. I had to call Jazinater for directions and she talked me back to my hotel.
Worse part about it when I got out of the jeep back at the hotel I realized all along the Garmin was in my pants pocket.![]()
Ha!Ha!Ha!
At least it is not as bad as the dude who drove his car into path of train with the “help” of a GPS!![]()
