Are pheromones and androgens the same?

I heard a little about Pheromones. Are pheromones sex-steroids or sex hormones? I know what androgens are I’m just trying to figure out the connection between them and pheromones.

That is a common misconception/stigma with the phero community. Some Pheromones are sexual in nature, some may be steered that way, some however are social in nature. They encourage dialogue, comfort, trust, respect. The biggest negative opinions with pheros are that they are only used for seducing and ‘forcing’ sex.
Im always glad to see people willing to actually look into it instead of just believing the rubbish.
To answer your question a bit..pheromones can be androgens, but androgens cannot be pheromones. Androgens are a subcategory to pheromones.
Pheromones and androgens are both steroids, therefore they’re both hormones. They just have different function and ratios in men and women.
To use sex pheromones for example:
Sex-pheromone chemicals are only responsible for releasing out of the body to attract the opposite sex. Both sexes have pheromones in the same approximate ratio. Males and females differ from the type of pheromone, and types of receptors to recieve their signal.

Androgen on the other hand, is predominant in males. Males have mostly androgen while females have small quantities. Androgen is responsible for proper function of spermatogenesis (sperm production), inhibition of fat deposition, muscle/skeletal mass/density, and aggressive human behavior. Only internal function
