Pheromones vs Hormones

I recognize that hormones have an internal effect while pheromones have an external effect, but don’t some pheromones have internal effects, and some hormones external effects? Are there chemical differences between them? If not how can one tell them apart?

I think I’ve heard before that studies show that the smell of testosterone affects women.
Also, based on my own research.. I’m highly convinced that one’s own hormone levels affect their pheromone output..

I think this question is better suited for the theory section though.

Many pheros are the skin-expressed metabolites of hormones/hormonal activity. Effects are largely one way but there is some evidence to suggest that some pheros can influence body chemistry - the A1/Cortisol levels study for one.

So yes, your levels of certain hormones will influence the amount and proportions of some pheros - briefly: Testestrone/Androstenone - influenced by youth, fitness, physical activity. Androstenols - Influenced by inactivity, diet and alcohol consumption, Androsterone - Age-related.

The Theory or Studies/Abstracts sections are indeed th places you will find more detaied answers.

I’ve read that pheromones have the potential to raise testosterone levels 50% . . I don’t know if that’s a good thing

Are you not thinking on the claims made for Copulins a while back?

IIRC the results were only observed by one person and involved Cops solely worn on women and TBH, they were never repeated by anyone else since - Which does suggest that some other mechanisim is involved.
