Which Pheromones contain Testosterone?

Thanks!

Do you mean Androstenone?

No pheromones contain testosterone. YOU contain testosterone.

I thought I remember somewhere on here it being mentioned that when men wear cops it enhances their testosterone production? maybe that’s a good way to go?

Though testosterone is, of course, a well known hormone, I am not familiar with any hypotheses that it can evaporate into anything with pheromonal properties. Some breakdown products of testosterone and estrogen become volatile molecules which are known pheromones.

Many of the pheromones and putative pheromones sold by Androtics have code names so it is not possible to know exactly what their chemical names are. I think, however, it is safe to say there are no pheromones containing testosterone.

Any biochemists out there who want to comment further?

Mens testosterone levels increase by 150% when exposed to copulins on a women not when they wear it themselves. Its a chemical reaction in the body brought on by the smell and the visual. In Astrid Juttes testing it was only when the men were shown pictures of attractive women that it went up. When just exposed to the copulins or to the pictures on there own testosterone stayed at baseline.

On a man copulin only indicate you have recently had sex with a women. The reason men use them is because this gives the signal that you are a male in demand in some instances. They call it social proofing.

Pheromones are basically hormones that have a function outside the body. Testosterone really has no pheromonal effect its what it breaks down into that does.

Testosterone breaks down into A1 and aRone among some other pheromones.

ANone is a sex hormone thats found in sweat urine and indicates aggression and dominance. It doesn’t come from testosterone but your level help metabolize it.. The amount of anone men naturally make is genetically determined.

Tisha… i love it when you talk science!

Testosterone is the ultimate pheromone

There are numerous reports on body building and pheromone websites with users saying how the amount of attention from ladies increased when they were on a testosterone/steroid cycle and it significantly decreased when they were off cycle even though they were looking the same or even better with no other changes.

There have been researches done, primarily by Muir (search on the internet), indicating that men secrete testosterone from their armpits during sex and vigorous exercise and also in their saliva. This sweat and saliva transferred to the female body and transferred transdermally to their bloodstream is what gets women revved up during sex.

So, when you have high circulating testosterone then not only the quantity of pheromone byproducts increase but you also secrete more amounts of testosterone from your sweat glands. The attraction effect of this testosterone is hard to beat by any pheromone. All pheromones signal something to the people around them but testosterone itself is the pure sexual pheromone.

Even Michael commented on it’s pheromonal properties a while back:

“…However, real testosterone is another thing entirely. The real deal of male hormones does seem to act as an potent masculine pheromone worthy of use. If you can obtain that legally in your country, I would say that personal experimentation with it as a pheromone may be fruitful…”

To answer OP’s question though, as others have mentioned, none of the pheromones sold here can contain testosterone, reason being that it is illegal to sell testosterone without a prescription in USA.

While everything you have pointed out is true Nbully we will just have to agree to disagree on Testosterone acting as a pheromone. Biologically testosterone is sexual because its part of what shapes and determines our sexuality. The only thing it signals is gender difference.

Yes this is true but its not achieved pheromonally. They absorb ingest or shoot it into the system. Testosterone is what determines your build and bone structure, deepens your voice, increases your height, develops your adams apple, grows hair on your body. It also helps males produce sperm and erections and this is where they mistake it for being sexual in some way.

So while yes testosterone does make you a more attractive looking male biologically because it assists in making men masculine and is important to the sexual functions of the body it doesn’t signal pheromonally.

My theory on body building men reporting the increase in female attraction when using this steroid which by the way most use internally is because it helps change there body structure, there masculinity and makes them feel more confident and aggressive.

I am aware of these studies but you miss one important point. the steriod is being transferred into the blood stream transdermally not pheromonally. Once your close enough to deposit your sweat and saliva on a women your most likely beyond the establishing attraction stage. Its not pheromonal signaling in the sense that we use pheromones for attraction.

When you have high circulating testosterone it is true that you do make more of the pheromone byproducts which will increase attraction but that does not indicate that testosterone in itself is a pheromone. All pheromones are hormones but all hormones are not pheromones. Yes Testosterone internally is important to sexual development. It has been used as a libido enhancer in women but the women have to absorb it into the blood stream so the chemical reaction can occur in the body to create this effect. That’s why the preferred application is by cream or patch.

Michael also mentioned…

Testosterone breaks down in to other pheromone byproducts which I mentioned in my first post. A1 and Arone are the ones I mentioned because most people are familiar with these two. This conversion occurs in the liver I believe and then is secreted in sweat and urine.

In the brain testosterone converts to Estradiol. Estradiol rather than testosterone serves as the most important feedback signal to the hypothalamus. Its Estradiol that signals not the actual testosterone. This they do sell as a putative here.

Just because a hormone has a biological effect does not mean it has that same pheromonal effect. Yes Testosterone is a important hormone for masculinity and sexuality but its importance and its functions occur inside the body.

Pheromones are molecules that enter the brain, triggering a chemical signal that influences behavior. Testosterone in the brain converts to a byproduct that does cause that signal but first it needs to travel the pathways in the body to collect certain enzymes for that brain conversion and signal to occur. It cant convert and signal inhaled pheromonally.

Its byproducts like A1 Arone and estradiol can because conversion has already occurred.

Thanks Tisha! Your post will really help most users here to understand the testosterone pathways and the more accepted viewpoint of how testosterone affects human body from the inside, causing physical changes and how it results in pheromone excretion which act as the actual signaler outside the body.

Although I cannot provide substantial proof at this point, I believe that when you have excess hormone in your system, not only does your body excrete more of it’s metabolites (pheromones) but you also excrete the hormone itself. In this theory testosterone and other hormones all have another life as a signaler outside the body as well, just like pheromones. While there is not much research/data on this and not much usefulness either due to it’s illegal status (except pregnenolone or DHEA which can be obtained OTC in USA, or DHT which can be obtained in some countries), it’s something to consider.

I firmly believe that the glow of excess flowing testosterone/DHT in the body is different than any pheromone mix. I am sure the feeling good and looking good from high testosterone levels has a great effect too, but it’s more than that.

Thank you as well, I always learn a great deal from you and your blog. Dont get me wrong though I do agree with you that the more testosterone in your body the more pheromone derivatives you secrete.

Many of these derivatives do act as pheromones.

By the way, for those who do not know, DHT which stands for Dihydrotestosterone or androstanolone is not testosterone. Its a derivative of testosterone. Its 3 times more potent then testosterone and does have pheromonal properties.
