WHAT A MAN! SEXXAY…
my mistake…your profile says you own mystery boy. maybe you are pursuing men?

Bronzie, I believe it was Our Lord Jesus who said, “Don’t be a jerk.” This is a forum sponsored by a pheromone manufacturer to discuss pheromones. Isn’t that why we’re here? To discuss pheromones?

Apparently some people believe that being on the internet gives them carte blanche to be rude to others, see this link:
Hypothesis: In the absence of social context cues, the level of uninhibited verbal behavior in computer-mediated communication rises. One phenomenon occurring in computer-mediated communication is the appearance of uninhibited verbal behavior. It appears that the level of uninhibited verbal behavior indulged in by those communicating via computer-mediated communication is a function of the absence of social context cues. I will first briefly examine social context cues as they effect communication content. These includes both verbal, non-verbal and situational cues. Then I will review the literature on uninhibited verbal behavior (often called ‘flaming’) in computer-mediated communication, to determine if there is support for the hypothesis that it is the lack of contextual cues that allows the phenomenon to occur, and if so, how researchers have explained the connection between the absence of social context cues and the occurrence of uninhibited verbal behavior.

Here’s an interesting read from Troll Guide: The Return
Online discussion can be very rewarding, but it is also rife with hazards. One of these is the presence of trolls.

A troll is a bulletin board participant who posts for one or both of two reasons: 1) to disrupt; 2) to gain attention.

THE MAJOR BREEDS

The Vulgar Troll. These, the crudest of all trolls, make no attempt to hide their species. Often, they make racist comments, or they may post porn and other spam. Vulgars usually confine their comments merely to primitive, profane, off-topic observations. When you log into the Really Profound Serious Philosophical Discussions board and see the post, “I smell my farts,” you’ve spotted the Vulgar Troll. Other species of troll sometimes revert to this form when cornered.

The Deceptive or “Classic” Troll. More sophisticated but often easily identified and exposed, the Classic Troll gratifies his ego by pretending to be someone or something he or she is not. Classics make up elaborate stories about themselves, sometimes weaving some amounts of truth into their lies. As a web of lies is difficult to build with consistency, however, Classics are often “outed” by other forumites. When this happens, Classic Trolls have a bag of tricks to which they turn:

– Classic Troll Tactic Number 1: If the heat gets too much for you, claim it was all “a joke.” In this way you can excuse any and all deceit by claiming people just weren’t smart enough to “get” the humor of it.

– Classic Troll Tactic Number 2: Create another account, and log on pretending to be someone else, in order to show support for the Troll in Question (TiQ). These puppet accounts sometimes claim to be disinterested third parties. At other times they pretend to be “friends” of the TiQ.

– Classic Troll Tactic Number 3: When your lies paint you into a corner, claim that your little brother, or some unnamed friend, has commandeered your account and made you look foolish. This technique can also be applied in claiming that the puppet account(s) you created may not, in fact, be disinterested third parties or friends, but that they are your relatives (“little brother” is most common) only trying to help support you.

– Classic Troll Tactic Number 4: When nothing else works, claim that now, finally, you’re telling the truth about all the lies you told before. Make up a fresh set of lies, and throw yourself on the mercy of
the forumites.

– Classic Troll Tactic Number 5: When all else fails, claim to be leaving forever. Trolls who claim they are leaving never do, of course; you can bet that anyone who proclaims, “I’m never coming back here,” will most certainly at least check back for responses, and probably will not be able to resist posting again.

– Classic Troll Tactic Number 6: Have a tantrum. When all their other tricks are exhausted, Classic Trolls will become angry and start shouting. Often they revert to Vulgar Trolls when this happens.

– Classic Troll Tactic Number 7: The insincere apology. Similar to Tactic 4, this involves pretending to repent for one’s trolling and is accompanied often by great melodrama. Insincere troll apologists hope that they’ll be forgiven if only they act disgusted enough with
their own behavior.

Classic warning sign behaviors may be shared by other breeds. Virtual Tough Guys are a subspecies of Classic Troll.

You seem to equate constructive criticism for trashing and insulting?

Seems like the truth or faintly intelligent discourse threatens your airy, fairy- floss world of pheromone blogging.

I’m sorry, Bronzie, but I have yet to see a post of yours that exemplifes “constructive criticism” or “intellectual discourse” or “the truth”.

Why is it such a challenge to be polite or civil on the internet? Why is there so much trash-talking? Most of the posts I have read and participated in on this board have been fun and informative. I like to focus on positivity and constructive comments. If you don’t have anything decent to say, then don’t post.

This is a board to discuss pheromones, not for trolls to cause drama.

AKmedic, i think you made him cry

Pheromones, yeah! Drama, boo!

Lei can see that much fun created here with Mr Bronzies posting, as i did also receive hims comment on looking at human musks post which was my first posting on the forum,it must be him has respect for asian peoples as hims posting no trouble, but i have look at hims many post and i have good laugh at so much fun amoungst all friends and community here, so it is good, there is always one man in the village to make us all laugh, so much is good humour, is also for health. lei

apparently he likes you then .
he is cutting and crude to people he does not like.
im not attracted to bullies just because they favor me.

hmmm..interesting thread. First of all, I’ve to salute to all the fine, courageous ladies here! Long ago, I used to criticize people blatantly if they don’t agree to my views or whatever till one day a wise man told me, “Son, criticize not a person, but only his (bad) action”. The wise man also told me, “If you have nothing nice to say to others, say nothing”. He died at the age of 69 in India where he originated. The old man was actually my father…

But we have to remember that people’s perceptions, views etc differs, it’s how you look into it and make the best out of it. If you pour muddy water in a clear glass and leave it for a while, you will see that the mud/dirt settle down and the water becomes clear. It depends on what we’re looking for..

Oh ya! I forgot to say that I’m not referring to anybody here, just sharing what my father taught me long ago..

Hi Lor,
speaking of rep points, I gave you rep today on another thread…

I’ve given three rep points to posters I agreed with and gave feedback to why I liked the posts. It’s no diff here from the 10 forums I operate. It got to be such a headache on one (a graffiti gallery) that I actually had to disable it. Damn kids were threatening to kill one another.

I should have encouraged it as it probably would have brought some notoriety to the site. Instead I now have it set up so that only admins and moderators can leave it.

Just my $18.96

Aww.. to heck with that! Where’s the fun of rep points if you can’t totally lambast or give props to one another?

Though I can understand how rep point abuse can make people literally want to kill each other. It’s 'cause there’s no face to the post! You can’t read those the expressions of someone’s face like you can in real life.

Same thing happens while driving. You can get all huffed up about some @$$hole Nissan who cut you off in traffic, and then imagine their car blowing up in Die Hard With a Vengeance fashion. What we forget is that there is a real dude inside that Nissan, listening to the radio, saying “Sh*t, I just cut that guy off; Sorry buddy…”

Forums, becuase they’re faceless, lose a little bit of the human element. Harris says to read everything you don’t like with a happy voice tone, and if what the person says still sounds negative, then it might actually be negative…

like being told “you are too much of a motormouth” ?and docked? sure thats helpful. maybe i ought to take a little break.

S’ok Lor. In THIS thread I was docked and told I am “Always a negative chick. Always moaning and whining about something..”

Guess what? Water off this duck’s back, nowadays.

Lor, you’re the best, and you know you’ve tons of good friends here.

Don’t let these opinionated, often bullying Numpties get to you sweetie. You were one of those that got me to come back here after all, remember!

Ail

I am new here and have stayed mostly in the womens threads. I just discovered the rep point thing last week and noticed I got bad reps on my very first post which was just to say hello to everyone and say what I ordered. It wasn’t signed which just shows the character of the person who did it.

I always look forward to posts by Ail and Lori and feel it would be a loss to this forum if they no longer post because of this rep point thing. Just reading there posts have helped me so much in learning how to use these products.

I also think if someone is giving out bad reps on a person’s hello post new people will shy away from ever posting about products they buy here. I notice there are alot of members in this forum but only a few ever post. I am glad I didnt notice my first bad one or I probably would have never posted either.

Tish

Hi Tisha!
I’m quite surprise that you got a bad rep for just saying “Hello”!! I guess he/she might had mistakenly click the disapprove button. Anyway, here are some points from me to you as a compensation
