best scent to cover the ultra-masculine molecules?

Hi all,

I’ve been mostly quiet lately, but came across a problem I hadn’t expected.

I’ve got this new girlfriend, things were going really great since we met, the communication was perfect, the plans and visions for future are very much the same, we share the passions and hobbies, there’s a lot of heat and sparkle… we just moved in together.

The problem is, she absolutely HATES the smell of my favourite and most trusted pheromones. Those being A314, Ammo, A1. She doesn’t know I’m using them, but she can always pick it up (and find the application point precisely) no matter how tiny the dosage may be. She does respond well to how they are working, mind, as long as she can get over the smell for a moment.

She does like the smell of my “socials” - I’ve got Shine, P83, P74, P80 at the moment and those are not problematic, she actually expressed how much she liked the smell of P83 (a pretty common reaction to this molecule).

But the adrosterone, androstenone, androstadienone - she tells me I smell like “piss”, “petrol”, “public loo”, “some nasty chemical stuff” etc. No, it’s not insulting, she just says she can pick that note up in whatever scent I’m wearing and she’s a bit direct in describing it :wink: I’ve had a bit of success with masking it with LOTS of neroli-based product - so basically applying, say, P74, letting it dry, then small amounts of Ammo, A1 and A314 (everything except for the latter - which is oil - layered in the same spots), letting dry, then P83, Shine etc. Of course Neroli, TAA etc wear out much quicker than sticky testosterone-derived molecules, so a couple of hours later it’s not masked so much anymore.

Has anyone had any success covering these with a longer-wearing, more opaque maybe, scent? I suppose not many of you felt the need too, I hadn’t for 5 years until recently. I will stop using them if I have to, but I’d prefer not to, as they do work well for the girl - except for the smell!

With A314 I think it may be light enough to mask. Which version of A314 do you have?

I have played around with the men’s scent options and have found that the Ammo/FF21 and Himalayan/FF20 to be the most powerful, at at the same time can also be the most offensive even at the 6% scent option.

With Ammo you could try under the custom addition section changing the scent to Neroli if this would help. It might cost slightly more, but could be worth it. With the FF21 I have not found a good cover scent for it yet as I found this scent has clashed with most colognes. Maybe Conjurator has some advice here as he is a cologne guy or Mobocaster will probably shed more light on this.

A1 all by itself does have a very distinctive smell to it and is also strong.

I have tried some essential oils and they can be fairly cheap and you may be able to get some Ylang oil and dilute with DPG. Ylang can be strong but I have not found anybody to be offended by it. You just need very little and I have not found anything on it being antibacterial so it should be ok to use on separate app points.

Hopefully some others can come in and offer there advice here. If the scent turns her off this is a big deal because the pheromone won’t work as well as it should IMO.

This is the problem when you meet someone super-sensitive to the scent of certain pheros.

There isn’t that much you can do really. I’m particularly tuned to the scent of P103 and nothing but nothing I’ve tried can cover it for more than about half an hour or so before the smell of cheesy feet comes right through it. However, as I’ve often found before, a turned-on woman can actually find a bit of phero-scent very attractive indeed, so long as it smells fresh and not old/stale/unkempt to her. So maybe try to find a cover that accentuates that aspect of the scent, rather than trying to cover it completely with a strong cover. I’ve also had my TUTH/sexual app points sought-out and given special attention in bed, so if that’s wahts happening, don’t worry too much! :slight_smile:

Another approach in cases like this is more a matter of identifying the pheros she isn’t sensitive to and doing your best to make use of them. Then you can try to steer them more effectively in your desired direction.

There is also a competitors product that smells exactly like the stuff they used to clean my school bogs with - but as my eyes can still barely focus after last-night’s phero-fuled blow-out, mu memory for individual products is kinda shakey! :o

Thanks. I managed to isolate A314 as being best tolerated if in low-ish dose. Ammo seems to be the worst offender, I guess I can live without that.

Here’s a funny little story.
My gf’s best friend (a girl aged 28 iirc) was having a dinner with us the other night, at our place. I wore a lot of thing (but not too much of any one product) to test the covering/buffering. 2 drops of A314, a dab (guessing, around 100mcg) of A1, one spray of double Ammo, 50mcg of P83, 2 sprays of double Shine, 30mch of TAC, 20mcg of P130.
My gf of course picked the -none up as soon as she entered the house. She asked her friend to sniff me (lol) and tell her whether she finds my smell offensive too. The girl dissagreed, she said she quite liked it actually and kept sniffing for a few too many seconds.
Later she was playing with my cameras (she’s a pro photographer, I’m a hobbyist with some cool gear), taking pics of our cats etc. I didn’t really pay much attention to it, the conversation was flowing. Next morning I found like 5 pics of cats, 5 pics of house decor, 1 pic of my gf and about 60 pics of myself (including close-ups of my hands etc).

Nice hits man. I wonder if Summer Ammo would work? I am finding that regular Ammo is by far the most powerful in your face scent out of all the instant line. I myself am going to try Summer Ammo and see what happens.

From what you describe, I’m wondering if Androstenone is the one she’s sensitive to here?

Whilst it is a primary component of Ammo, it is only at steering/trace levels in A314 and the oil-base would help reduct the potential negatives further.

Maybe investigate some no-none products to see how she does with them and instead try P75, P80 or even P106 as None alternatives.

IME the mones most likely to be the culprit for people with scent sensitivity issues are Androstenone, A1 and Androsterone. In more or less that order.

yes, these are the three she’s expressed some negativity towards, in very much that order (judging by intensity of the comments). Will have to try the putatives you mention (actually I’ve had some P80 and the response was good, i.e. no comment of the scent and good reaction otherwise). The good thing is, I found that keeping the A314 dosage in the lower regions of my range while using any other of the non-offensive fragrances is perfectly usable. A1 only can only be covered for about an hour at the most, and then it has to be sprayed over with something again, or ideally washed and re-applied (and re-covered). Androstenone, well, I can live without, the girl’s libido is high enough and don’t really need it elsewhere. Would be good to spice it up on demand though, so I’ll try P75 (although I seem to recall reading comments about its specific smell too) or what have you.

Despite being labelled as such for so long, I’ve never found P75 or P80 to be none alternatives except in a superficial sense. They are sexual and aggressive yes, but somehow their true purpose does not feel sexual. I think of these two as alpha components with sexual and highly attractive aspects at high doses, but they never quite match the singular blunt instrument that is androstenone.

It’s funny you mention these three, mobocaster - I’ve found them to be some of the key components in replicating important aspects of A314. The molecules we’re looking for to bring things back to the good 'ole days are already available for purchase as we speak. With these three and high-dose androsterone alone, you can achieve something better than old Rev.32. And it gets much, much better than this with some of the other components I’ve found to be necessary. :wink:

I like covering A314 with chypres or fougeres. They go extraordinarily well with the vibe A314 gives out.

Yes - I agree. Nothing replaces None completely but used in a steering/complementing role at IME fairly low dose, (P75 or P80 anyway) they can be a useful alternative to None - esp in situations like Marihinio’s or where None is poorly tolerated in other ways. Effectiveness of higher doses depend very much on the individual. P75 at too high a dose can IME make A314 unworkable in many roles for me - you lose all the effortlessly in-command attributes and just become a bossy/hectoring arsehole.

P106 I’ve mainly used to give recent batches of A314 more presence and that can often get taken as sexual in an uninhibited environment. In wider use I’ve yet to make-up my mind on it.

I’ve also got a little theory about recent versions of A314 and P106 - but its 4:30am here and I’m too minced to go into more detail just now. Is recent stock history/availability vs Rev numbers may be telling enough on its own though.
