What is meant by ‘beta-vibe’ and ‘alpha-vibe’…?

It depends.In the animal/human kingdom If youre a alpha, then youre basically the leader the of the pack whereas a beta is the follower who supports the leader. Alpha give off the vibe that they are leaders and know what they do and are almost seen as fearless whereas the beta are usually the ones who follow after alpha. Dont forget the sigmas who arent really alpha but arent beta. Theyre the ones who can lead and potentially replace the alpha and mate with the alpha female of the group but rather like to be loners. Think Squall from final fantasy or Wolverine. Theyre like the antihero’s of hero’s.
Ok. I see. So when you give off a beta vibe with the pheros, what does that do for a woman? Is it bad?

Depends on the woman’s taste buds. If she likes ALPHA, it’s bad! If she likes BETA, your in the money! 
Few if any pheros give-off a beta vibe by themselves - That part is more down to how you handle them and if you live-up to the promise of their signature - or not. IMO, most of the times you read of someone calling a phero “beta” is because it is fundamentally at odds with their personality/personal presentation and maybe induces negative self effects that don’t help them be congruent with the signals they are sending..
Similarly, no amount of A314 or P75 will make much difference beyond brief initial impact if the wearer remains shy, reticent, shifty or overly fawning and a rufty-tufty, chisled-Alpha type can have difficulties if they can’t throw themselves into the swing of a full-on social/party mix like MX297 or IS/IO and have as good a time as the initial impression suggests.
