How to win friends and influence people - Dale Carnegie (Written in like 1930)

Good hands on advice. Nice ans short too.

Great Book

I just purchased “The Assertiveness Workbook” by Randy J. Patterson, Ph.D and also “When I say no, I feel guilty” by Manuel J. Smith, Ph.D. RADMAN previously mentioned the workbook and I decided to pick up the latter book on the basis of amazon reviews.

I’ve been thumbing through the Four Agreements again lately. There is some good stuff in there.

I’m reading Instant Enlightenment by David Dieda. Not bad, but nowhere near as good as some of his other stuff. Almost feels like an abridged version of the Way of the Superior Man.

I’d second the recommendation for “hold on to you nuts” by Levine. But I would also think that “The Art of Manliness”. Would be a great read for any man looking to better himself and to learn the gentlemanly arts. Also do not forget the classics;

The old man and the sea byHemingway
Great expectations by Dickens
plato’s republic
The Illiad and Odyssey
Il Principe by Machiavelli
The Adventures ofHuckleberry Finn

Improving your game is as much about being well read as it is about swagger.

I couldn’t agree with you more! Well read translates into interesting.
