That’s an interesting question. Actually, I’ve been testing for the last month to answer it. I was going to make a new post about it in a few days, but this post might be a good place to do so. Here it is.
I’m not an heavy sweater, but I wanted to test this out since someone asked the question in one of my post. At the time, my theorical research made me think that using antiperspirant or not could have a strong influence on you’re natural pheromones production, therefore influence the effectiveness of synthetic pheromones.
I wanted to verify this hypothesis. Here’s how I proceeded, each week being a 5 days of school in daytime and work at night, not taking pheros on week-end.
- First week (Control): NO artifical pheromones, NO antiperspirant.
As expected, got not much blatant hits, only the usual. Maybe a little better than it was before I descovered mones, probably because of the confidence boost they gave me, but nothing amazing. I had some average days at work, too.
- Second week: NO artifical pheromones, using strong antiperspirant.
I had done some research on the web and found out that the most effective antiperspirant I could legally buy was something called “Certain Dri”. Purchased some, and tried it. It actually works incredibly well. Even in high humidity days, my underarms were still completly dry; no moisture at all.
As for how it went in my life, it looked like the week before: Average. Maybe a little bit worst, but I don’t know if It was related to my pheromones production. I was actually so concerned about not having natural pheros at all, that my confidence level was very low. I almost stopped testing it because I was in a bad mood.
- Third week: Wearing artifical pheromones, NO antiperspirant.
Finally! Wearing my school mix (mx301 + IG/IO) and my work mix (IG + IS) never felt so good! Pretty straight forward here, it was just like before: Got nice hits, good sales, good mood, (everything that made me a pheromone-addict
).
- Forth week: Wearing artifical pheromones AND using strong antiperspirant.
I was dreading this test. But still tried to keep neutral as for the upcoming results, since I didn’t wanted my mood to influence them. I was actually really surprised as for the results. Even if I had a very negative idea of how things would go, I have to admit that I had a great week. Got some good hits again. Results were really similar to the week before, did not expected that at all.
That was last week, now I’m still using Certain Dri this week to see if I can replicate the results I’ve gotten last week. So far so good.
In conclusion:
Antiperspirant did not have the effect I expected on the efficiency of artificial pheromones. It had little or no impact at all.
How to explain that? I’m not quite sure, I see two possible answers:
-
Artifical/added pheromones have a much stronger effect than natural pheros, thus, they cover them and wheter or not you have some natural pheromones won’t change the effectiveness of the artifical 'mones.
-
As I said, I’m not someone who sweats a lot, so my natural pheromone production could be lower than, say, an heavy sweater. Therefore, reducing my natural 'mone production might have less effect on me than on someone who sweats a lot.
To see which explanation is the right one, more people (including some that sweats a lot) should do the same testing. Then we could compare the results and understand them better.
Hope that answers your question.
