buffered/slow release P74

would this be a possibility? sometimes it is a pain to have to keep reapplying throughout the evening. maybe P74 oil would be effective.

Yea sounds good to me. I am thinking one of the reasons P74 has such an over-the-top social effect at times is that it is quickly released. When something is released like virtually completely in 1 hour max, then it is going to be the more dominant mone in the mix then the slower release components. The same thing happened when I first started using Androtics’ products with TAA- the effects were dramatic (I was using anywhere from 20-60 mcg) but lasted no more that 30 minutes. When Instant Shine came along, being essentially TAA with added fixatives, the results were far less over the top but still useful, and it lasts a solid 4-5 hours. So same thing may happen with a P74 oil or P74 with more fixatives with regards to less over the top effects which can get too much at times (eg. at work).

Given the heat out in Texas right now, an oil based P74 and p79 for that matter would be nice.

It seems that AD will be releasing buffered versions of the two sometime in the near future. Hopefully these incorporate some means to prolong the initial effects, particularly with P79

there was a discussion about using leather as an absorber and slow release agent… another option would be akin to the old time sachets, a small cloth bag filled with a granular material, possibly even some kind of husky seed, like raw oat… some small squares of heavy weight leather could be spayed heavily then put in plastic zip lok bags and sealed for a day or two until the pheromone migrates deep into the leather, then drop these in your pockets…

interesting. I’ll look into that. how well would the pheromones diffuse using these methods?

what happens when you wear P74 at work?

Well this one lady I sit next to in her mid-to-late 30s just talks and talks and talks- there are similar reactions from some others. Its friendly for sure but its just over the top distracting for me. It would be awesome for parties for example but its just too much for everyday at work I find. Plus I am kind of paranoid that one day someone is going to find out that something ‘is up with me’ when they see this kind of unreal behaviour constantly happening around me  .

I am thinking if P74 was put in with strong fixatives to make it last 5-6 hours or more, you would still get its ‘cool guy effect’ benefits with less over-the-top chattiness/friendliness. You would still get some, which is fine, just not all the time.

nobody is going to attribute that behaviour to pheromones… theyll find something about you to explain it on. oh visionary is just so good at making people feel comfortable and breaking the ice. must invite him again next time.

Yea well where I am in the past few months I have overheard people talking about pheromones from the USA (probably talking about this site or LS) and the success that this forum is having in adding newbies and the numbers of people viewing the forum is making me a little paranoid.

I mean if I knew about the reactions of the different products (like P74 over-talkativeness/friendliness) and saw a relatively plain person who is surrounded by such behaviour every day to a ridiculous extent, I would be suspicious. More and more people are learning about the power of pheromones and sooner or later we may be caught out by perceptive people… Not that they may do anything bad but still I like having this as a ‘secret’ like a lot of us do…

Anyway just a paranoid thought…

Slow release / oil-based P74 might also be useful for minimising possible negative self-effects (see my quoted post above) from using this molecule. Slow release P74 might reduce some of the over-the-top social reactions but, at the same time, result in a less ‘mentally tiring’ effect from this fun and cool  putative…

Yep, that’s (finally!!) a possibility!

We’ve been testing a few different chemical solutions to slow the release of spray based product, so you don’t have to resort to oil. Brand new technology that hopefully work better for pheromones than the perfume fixatives of old.

A spray compatible solution also means we can keep testing up at a brisk pace, and with greater accuracy. When we prepare oils, we have to do them in large batches. The dosing also isn’t as accurate as the spray delivery system.

We initially wanted to slow the release of TAA, especially for the summer months. In fact, we have two new test versions of Instant Shine we’ve prepared with each of the new test chemicals. We want to get 'em out to those interested, and see which chemicals works best to meter out pheromone release without destroying the effect or making it too dull

Hopefully what what works for TAA, will work for P74, too.

Hi,

You could also try adding a little Glucam-P20 to the bottle, apparently it’s used in perfumery and helps keep the top-notes from diffusing too quickly. I would try some myself but I cant find a distributor in the UK :frowning:**

Oh wow, when do you think the two versions of Instant Shine will be available for testing?

I will be testing out Glucam P-20 myself. Right now I’m testing it out on a perfume blend I made by diluting oud attar into alcohol and adding 1 drop of P-20. It seems to make the fragrance’s initial diffusivity lower. I will test out the P-20 in Instant Shine and Instant Openness later. Physically P-20 is similar to propylene glycol, but it’s more like a syrup and it feels gummy as it starts to dry- I put some P-20 mixed into jojoba on my skin and it’s obviously an emollient of sorts as it resists soaking into the skin

There are other fixatives you could use, of course, too. Ambroxan is one, but it has an odor and has to be heavily diluted. Also, if you again don’t care about odor, any resinoid gum would probably work as well. You should check at any perfumer’s suppliers. There has to be some in Europe somewhere.

Brilliant. Something to slow the release of the fast pheros would be great. Would something like that affect an entire mix, or would they specifically bind to those especially fast diffusing molecules? There are a couple mixes I rather like, but after a few hours you can just tell that the socials are gone, yet some of the stickier ones are still there. So this makes it difficult to simply reapply, because now the whole ratio is off.

Thanks for the help! Repped

Did you ever try the P-20 with your Instant Shine to slow diffusion? If so, what was the result? Did you notice a difference in how much product you had to use? How did you mix it?
