Celery (lol strange thread)

This topic should be taken more seriously! I had also heard of the magic of celery so set about experimenting in various situations. It seems the effects only last as long as the taste is in your mouth since it can be smelt on your breath… which isn’t ideal, but worked well in at least one unplanned situation.

I was out in a bar with 3 other friends - one male, two female. Both woman are dating. Someone orders a cocktail which had a stick of celery in (anyone know which one it is???)… the other 3 immediately start talking about how nasty celery tastes and how it can’t be eaten. So I take the stick from the glass and take a bite from it, which gets a few laughs.

Anyhow, within moments both women have their attention on me like anything, laughing at terrible jokes, playing with their hair, etc. I take my time eating the celery, and the effects last about as long as the celery does. Diffusion is often a problem with pheromone products, but in this case they are carried on your breath… just by talking to someone, they get a heavy dose. If they are far away, just shout louder and breath more.

Of course bringing celery wherever you go might not work so well… maybe eating 10 pounds of it will make you sweat the stuff, but I’m not sure I will try! But finding out which cocktails have celery in, could be a real winner

Whatever you do, don’t get the bright idea to juice some celery and use it as cologne. I don’t know anything about celery’s supposed androstenol content, but I do know that celery contains furanocoumarins – chemicals that become toxic and highly irritating to skin when exposed to sunlight or other UV radiation sources. Furanocoumarins also can interact with the rate at which various drugs are metabolized by your body. Also, like many plant chemicals, they may have some healthy affects in moderation, but ingesting extremely large amounts is bound to produce toxic effects.

I went through a phase where I was craving loads of celery for awhile good energy boost and my moods stabilized a lot. However, I never noticed anything interesting about the smell.

Bloody Mary.

You’d waste away to nothing. Eating celery consumes more calories than it provides.:open_mouth:

Does that mean it’s a good snack for losing weight? What happens if you add some peanut butter? Protein (Peanut Butter) + Burning Calories (Celery) = Undiscovered Miracle Diet?

You would add calories.:open_mouth:

the caloric deficit of celery is very miniscule. you’d have to eat 100 lbs of celery to burn 3600 calories, but I dont think the testers of that ever considered the concussive effect of a colon-blow from all of that fiber. I am interested in trying the celery stalk breath thing, though. I love celery. if you peel the back of the stalk, its much easier to eat.

The negative calories from celery is a myth

This is a really good article that explains the concept.

I absolutely love the taste of celery and am pretty sure I could eat quite a few stalks of it.

I’m new to this whole pheromone idea, but I’d sure be willing to see if I get more attention from eating a big meal of celery.

LOL, you funny! :open_mouth:

Pig’s testicles are loaded with Androstenone. I wouldn’t, however, recommend putting them in your mouth.

Celery, parsnips, cucumbers & melons. It can work, even if it is not the pheromones in the foods. Here is the catch: Have you ever eaten something and smelled it in your sweat? If not, then your system is not clean enough for this to work.
Try doing some hot yoga or something which makes you sweat a lot (I’m talking like a puddle on a floor when you finish) on a regular basis. Eat a fresh salad with lots of good flavorful vegetables (may want to leave out the garlic and onion though). You will smell awesome. I’ve had my clients notice it and say very good things (they also said things when I ate 3 bulbs of roasted garlic the night before, but we can talk about that later). Worst case: you have a clean system so your natural pheromones can stand out more, and when you use synthetic pheromones, they blend with something better than nasty body odor. Also Tribulus is killer for testosterone production, which will of course lead to more pheromones.
I am a firm believer in the power of a healthy diet rich in fruits & vegetables and low in junky carbohydrates & synthetic foods.
Don’t believe me: walk down the lotion isle at your local store. Do you see the woman buying the cucumber & melon scented lotion? Yeah, I thought so.
