Pheromones in foods?!

I have read that some foods like celery boost your libiido with adrostenone. How much do i have to eat to have some effect or does it work at all?(celery isnt very tasty btw. Which foods do i have to eat to boost pheromones? Cant i just make juice out of these foods and wear it?I hope discussion on natural pheromones not people suggesting me to try the real thing. There arent many pheromones available where i live and the shipping is bad, so i dont want to buy anything, i just want to experiment.

IME a couple of celery sticks a day should produce a noticable rise pretty quickly.

Anything high in b-complex vitamins will also produce a detectable rise in phero output, although these will not always be the pheros associated with attraction.

TBH, regular exercise is probably better linked to an increase in testosterone production, an increase in liver function and an overall improvement in metabolic rate - which will have likely have a knock-on in phero production.

I’ve actually heard that it’s AndrosteRone, not Androstenone that’s in celery…not sure though somebody may correct me on that. To be honest while it’s fairly high in the substance (as far as a food goes) I’m pretty sure the quantity is so low as to not really be of much significance.

The real thing is this, mones work subtly and effect people more on a subconscious and instinctive level. This does not totally override conscious thought or free will. What this means is that even if you were to dowse yourself from head to toe in celery juice…and even if that quantity was enough to give you an effectively large dose of whatever mones it may contain…the fact that on a consciously detectable level, you smell like celery juice would likely make people just think you’re weird or smell funny and they’d avoid standing close enough to you for your mones to have any effect.

The reason AD products are scented the way they are is to smell pleasant…or at least neutral enough to be covered by something pleasant so that people will be willing to breath around you and thus increase their exposure to the pheromones.

Now while some diet and lifestyle changes can effect your hormone (and thus pheromone) levels, even a fairly high natural mone level is still kinda low compared to most synthetic mones.

So I won’t tell you to buy some mones since you say you don’t want to hear that. But well…it is what it is.

i can’t remember OTOH but regular consumption will produce a noticable change in your body odour in just a few days. Which can be quite a start when you suddenly get a whiff of yourself.

B-complex foods are much more subtle and the differences in phero production are miniscule, needing input from a skilled mass spec operator to determine. We did it a few years back as part of a research project but our findings are currently subject to a commercialisation agreement.

I think he’s right about androseRone not androsteNone. I’ve heard the same.

Also - it would be funny to think that such a frilly and unassuming vegetable like celery could produce something as aggressive as androstenone. lol

This is unrelated to this thread but what is it recently with the new string of users/people believing pheromones are 1. deadly for your health 2. cause you to fail drug tests 3. now pheromones are in foods?

If you want to increase your libido there are other ways such as DIET and EXERCISE.

I’m not annoyed, but it just seems so fishy (this is one of the foods you can eat to increase libido) to have so many strange posts come up in the past few days.

I believe there was an increase of postings on Wikis and eHow which are the most ignorant source of information: Unmonitored crowd sourcing.

Dunno - I have noticed there seems to be tides of common questions that wash up and town these boards. How often do we get a spate of A1 threads or folk asking about smoking and pheros, or parents!

Try working with someone who has a celery phobia then - One guy I used to share a lab with would go flaming postal if he bit on a sandwich and felt the crunch! :open_mouth:

Oh and never serve me cabbage, OK?

Then start laughing

It has a tiny amount of arone in it. The better news though is Celery has enzymes and nutrients that work with your body to increase testosterone production. Which can lead to more anone. Yes it does work and quite well but you need to eat it almost daily.

Yes you can juice it and thats exactly what I suggest you do. 3 to 5 stalks with other tasty veggies and a little fruit and your all set. You can also add the juice to things you cook like sauce and you wont even notice it.

Tisha

I’ll echo what others have said - it’s hardly the most efficient way to produce it.

But if you must - I’d recommend making a yummy vegetable soup!

Don’t forget the occasional “What phero will make a woman have sex with me?” and “I bought a product from another company, now how do i use it?”

I think my next mix will be 2 sprays of my own sweat and 3 sprays of campbell vegetable soup.

Peanut butter on celery…

Having read other threads referring to the “Celery Connexion”, and now this, I googled. Yes. I googled and came up with this:

"Is it fact or fiction that celery contains aphrodisiac properties? Well, its actually false. Celery is thought to be an aphrodisiac by some people because it is thought to contain androsterone, a metabolic product of testosterone. However, it’s just a misunderstanding of androstenone, which has a different structure to androsterone and is otherwise unrelated.

Androsterone is a human only pheromone. It’s use as a pheromone is born out of the fact that males with a higher ratio of androsterone to etiocholanone are more masculine. Thus, androsterone makes the wearer appear to be more masculine and/or dominant."

I thought it would be helpful, personally I detest celery. Both the taste and the smell. :open_mouth:

Would that be the clear or the cream of vegetable? would the cream aid in the production of sperm? would the vegetables boost the motility? or is topical soup application the superior mode of developing dinner mones?:smiley:

Couldn’t resist.
