[Copulin Research] What does your healthy vagina smell like while ovulating?

I was thinking (dangerous, I know :open_mouth:)…

So, are we needing to know what vaginas smell like because you want to have the couplins smell the same? Or is it that we’re still trying to figure out which pheromone is being emitted (I thought some genius had already figured out)?

I’m just asking, because from my VEEERRY limited phero experience here, male attraction to a female has more to do w/ the pheromone “registering” (for lack of better word) in the brain than the actual smell that we perceive thru our noses. Not? And if so, does it really matter if us women are walking around spraying ourselves w/ something that smells like vaginas? Personally, I’d rather not smell like a vagina. I want the “results” of smelling like one, but wouldn’t actually like to smell like one…get my drift? I’d imagine that’s the whole point of this thread…oh well, probably not the last time I ask stupid questions like these!

Inquiring minds want to know…

The problem, River, is that copulins are not pheromones. They don’t work the same way that Androstenone and Androstedienone and other pheromones work. In this case it is actually the smell that is the attractant, and that is not the same for pheromones. And it is the smell of a woman at mid month that is sexually attractive the most to men.

EOW is where most of us have had our experiences with copulins. But the problem was, I think, that there were extra stuff thrown in with that mix that didn’t belong there. For example, if you had any of one of the older batches, it smelled more like essence of cheese than it did essence of a woman. It also had some of the right stuff in there also, so it worked. I don’t think anyone who ever used EOW ever really thought it smelled anything like “pussy”. But it had some of the right notes, namely some musky and some acidic notes, so it worked. If Androtics can formulate something closer to the real smell, it will be so much better.

Diane

Duh! Stupid me!!! I guess I DID know that! Thanks for the reminder. I’ve been a bit of a psychitz today:o

I still don’t want to smell like a walking vagina but maybe if I use some perfume over the top, maybe a perfumy-smelling vagina would be ok! LOL!

Thanks Diane! You rock!

Holy crap Batman!

I was googling around on this topic (for the sake of science, of course!) and came across this:

V U L V A

Uhhhh…DON’T click on the link if you’re not into semi-sexually graphic stuff or if you’re just too damned young!

It’s supposedly a concentrated “vaginal scent” that comes in a vial, “is not a perfume”, and “is purely a substance for your own sensual pleasure”. Wonder what the heck’s in it???

Anybody up for an adventure & want to try the stuff???

I’m an adventurous sort…but…welllll…

I was thinking again…yeah, I know…

Anyways, if couplins (or the vaginal scent) attract men, why are some men attracted to women with stinky ones (for whatever reason like bad hygiene, STD’s, bad diet, etc)? Or do you think other factors such as looks or big boobs or whatever, override any olfactory-related attraction? Do you suppose their “success rate” in attracting men is less than those who smell “good”? Or could it be some of it is a barely detectable scent but yet something that gets the brain a’goin’?

Oh, and another thing…do you ladies ever notice if you need to use more couplins during the non-ovulatory phase of your cycles to get the same quantity and quality “hits” as during your pre-ovulation/ovulation phase (I’m assuming our couplin production would be naturally higher at this time AND I know it SMELLS better at this time). I chart my cycle, but never put all of this together…hmmmm…I smell an experiment coming on!!! Gonna have to add a couple of new columns to my chart!

Geezzz…I sound like some freakin’ teenager here wondering about the birds & bees! LOL!

I’ve never heard any man claim to be attracted to funk or a foul smelling vagina. I always hear the opposite. A foul smelling vagina is a sign of bad hygiene or infection. A man is naturally attracted to the scent of a healthy vagina, and repulsed by poor hygiene and infection.

The scent of a normal healthy vagina gets stronger at ovulation and during arousal and sex. But a stronger scent is not the same as a foul scent.

Older women and women on birth control pills don’t produce as many cops. That is because estrogen, which rises during the first half of the cycle and peaks just before ovulation also regulates the amount of glycogen (protein-bound sugar) that is deposited on the vaginal walls. This glycogen is a primary food source for the natural lactobacillus that inhabit the region. As the glycogen sources go up, the amount of lactic acid and other carboxylic acids produced by this bacteria go up, and the scent gets stronger. The lactic acid from these bacteria keeps the vagina very acidic and healthy.

Because older women and women on birth control don’t have as much estrogen cycling up at ovulation time, there is not as much glycogen deposited in the vagina, so less lactobacillus, and less lactic and other carboxylic acids, and less scent.

Diane

Thanks for all the feedback Diane. You’re VERY informative and sound like a doctor (are you?) So, it would stand to reason, then, that any woman (older/birth control or not-but them just moreso) would have to use more cops during non-ovulation. Has anyone been charting theirs and playing around w/ the couplins (EOW in particular) dosage to adjust for their cycle? Of course, it’s probably changed some anyways because I know I’m having to use more w/ this last batch of EOW to see any results…Hrumphhhh!:frowning:

Uh, no. I don’t have an MD. I’m a microbiologist, trained in Laboratory medicine and genetics. But, I’ve been a long time out of the field and have forgotten most of what I learned. But I’m still fascinated by the subject and love to read up on stuff whenever I can.

I think the ideal would be to seem to be producing the same amount of cops as a young woman at mid cycle. In my case, I am 48 years old. I still cycle, still ovulate, but I don’t produce as much estrogen, and not as much cops. I do notice the difference from when I was younger, even just a few years younger.

Younger women would not need to use as much cops as older women, since they produce plenty on their own. The exception is birth control pills which artificially stop a woman’s own estrogen production and replace it with horse estrogen. It keeps a woman from getting pregnant, but it is not the same form of estrogen a woman makes naturally in her own body. Who knows what other effects horse estrogen has? I don’t think it has been studied enough in the right context for anyone to know for sure. But, at any rate, women who are on birth control should also supplement with cops to get the same effect they would have naturally if they were producing their own estrogen.

Diane

Yup. I understand all that or at least the basics  between younger vs older vs birth control takers, etc. but what about THROUGHOUT a woman’s cycle. Would seem to me that I would probably need more when I’m NOT ovulating than when I am. Right? Or do you think the levels of couplins produced in one woman’s body doesn’t flutuate noticeably (which I think they do…or, on the other hand, fluctuates too much) during her cycle to adjust the amount of couplins used for each “stage” of her cycle? Hence, the earlier comment about my temp charting & experimenting w/ my couplins dosage. I’ve just never put the two together.

And maybe it would be virtually impossible to get any concrete results, IDK, that’s why I’m asking if this is even makes sense to try considering I don’t know all the body chemistry stuff, or if anyone else already purposefully adjusts their couplins dosage according to their cycle stages. I’m assuming there’s a correlation btw horomone and couplin production & since we produce different amounts of different horomones throughout our cycles, it seems to me the couplin levels would fluctuate right along w/ it & it would be cool to be able to adjust our couplins use right along w/ that.

I think it would be interesting, for example, if I found that I needed 50% more couplins dose (I mostly use EOW) during my period to get the same kind of reactions as when I do when I’m ovulating. I realize that “hits” are somewhat subjective and I assume hormone levels vary from day to day, but I’d imagine there would be some sort of general pattern after a while. And, that’s assuming a woman’s cycle is pretty regular from month to month, which mine is.

Does that make more sense of what I’m getting at? Or am I still just all wet? (no pun intended :stuck_out_tongue:)

I think it is a great idea for an experimental run for cops. When Androtic’s Cops formula(s) come out, if you are up to it, it sounds like a terrific idea! Be sure to report your finding. :stuck_out_tongue:

Diane

Any chemical compound secreted by an organism in minute amounts to elicit a particular reaction from other organisms of the same species is a Pheromone including copulins.

However as Di pointed out, the scent plays a major roll in the effectiveness of copulins and is what triggers the reaction.

Knowing this Di I am a little confused by your request post a few pages back stating you want your copulins unscented, Unless you mean not with added neroli or something like that.

I dont think they plan to sell pure a pure cop formula but I cant say for sure. I will ask. They are being made to use in mixes so that products like LAM and others can have them or so we can add them in the custom additions section.

Work  You know you love to google (snort) . I am not going to delete your post because you did a great job. They do know all the technical aspects though. They are just looking for the scent description.

Tisha

Uhm, I DO consider Google research to be work - I’ve been paid very well for Google research in the past and it continues to play a big role in my job! Kudos to Diane for adding to the forum’s knowledge base.

I think a pure cops formula would be a great addition to the Androtics product line. Look at the success EoW has had, and it’s now not a competitive product as they’ve made it more and more diluted so you don’t know what you’re getting when you order it. Androtics may not feel they want to carry a pure cops formula but we as consumers need a replacement product for EoW.

I understand that Carrie which is why I said she did a great job and I had no reason to delete it as she asked me to in her post. I was just teasing her about the google so y’all can calm down, I am not belittling her contribution.

I agree that consumers need a reliable pure cop formula and I can’t tell you how many times I bitched about it to them. Maybe when they have the facilities for it they will, I dont know but last time I asked they said it wasnt feasible at this time. As I said I will bitch at them some more, maybe this time they can.

I will say there are alot of exciting things coming and when the AMMO launch is done we will see them. There is a lot of business hulabaloo they need to get done before they can take a big push forward in the testing and research . I cant say anymore by penalty of death and Pheromone denial LOL But hang in there girls. Its gonna be wild

Tisha

right on,Carrie

According to Michael he is working on a cops only version (YAY!). And yes, I meant cops without a cover scent added like neroli or EO or anything.

Thanks for the compliment, re: the work. I spent a whole night up trying to track that info down. It’s harder than it should be, but I’m cheap and don’t want to pay middle men for journal articles that may or may not be what I wanted or needed. Thankfully, most anything can be found if you dig long and hard enough.

Diane

That’s awesome news! Wow, it’s going to be interesting without a cover scent.

::whew:: Sorry Tisha, I misread your meaning.

We’re counting on you girl. Spray some TUTH and TAL and tell it.

I’ll check back in, in say … 18 months and see where we’re at with that.

Well yes that is how he will give it to them, just like they received there prior copulin formula . Then the girls in the lab do there thing by adding scents or making mixes. It would be great if they sold it as is though, Dont get upset if it dosnt come out right away that way. The forum ladies have been working on them for years on this subject. There is a whole post discussing it with MHarris. We will just keep asking, Maybe they will tired of it

I did mean it as a compliment Diane, Finding the really good useful stuff is not easy

Its ok Carrie, its been happening a lot lately, I guess it just comes with the job.

LOL I will. I talk to Steve almost daily and the poor man always growns as soon as I mention copulins. I bugged Jassy about it to LOL
’

Good Goddess I hope it dosnt take that much longer. I dont think it will they need to get this product out on the market for many reasons. I will ask about that to

May as well be a royal pain in the ass (snort) You know me cant do things half way

Tisha

I did use google, but ignored all the “reports” that weren’t from peer reviewed published papers. That is what the work was. It is very hard to get much of anything these days without paying huge prices for database access - or having a medical school library handy. I don’t have either, so what I found took me about 9 hours of concentrated effort. Google can be your friend, but it still doesn’t make it easy.

Oh, and just so you know. I didn’t take your comments as anything other than a friendly tease.

Diane

I think Carrie had the best point when she brought up the success of EoW…

from a business point of view it only makes sense to go in this direction and try to do the best the first time around.

how many competitors does EoW have?

not many that do anything !

this could be the next biggest seller to Ammo !
