Cover up for EoW

I was thinking of ordering some EoW and would like to know what are the best cover up perfumes to use with it. I like the pink sugar but I also really like vanilla scents. They have one at sephora called lavanila pure vanilla that smells so good! Advice or opinions anyone? Thanks.

I tried a simple vanilla perfume oil to cover it. After you let the EoW dry for like 10 to 15 minutes the vanilla covers it very well! So this scent you like so much (I don’t know it but it sounds nice!!) might cover it just fine. I also noticed that somewhat heavy, fruity scent like peach, berries or apple cover the EoW nicely. Flowery scents don’t do that good on me but of course it’s also a personal matter.

Have you read the sticky in the Women’s forum? It’s called something like “Newbe with a few questions” and it’s full on useful info on how to use EoW!

Good luck en keep us posted ok? I’m still trying too

Flirtatious hit the nail on the head! Fruity or “heavy” vanilla scents cover EoW very well, just make sure you really let it dry down…The sticky thead tells you all about how to best cover EoW  Florals or light & airy/powdery vanilla scents aren’t enough usually.

a long time ago we were having a bit of a love affair with demeter fragrances.

im dying to try earthworm and thunderstorm,
but they have some lovely “candy” inspired scents (after the ones we all know and love, like hershey’s and jelly belly and jolly ranchers ect)

these would incorperate both vanilla and fruit.

just for fun:

I was wondering… Yesterday I made a mix of Pink Sugar and EoW. 5 drops of EoW in 1 ml of Pink Sugar. This morning I tried the cops on to see how the scnet was. I’m in an office with only women so I thought I might try. I used one spray of the mixed EoW on my left arm and just Pink Sugar on my right arm. At first I could really smell the diffrence, I smelled the cops on my left arm but they were nicely dilluted by the Pink Sugar.

Two hours later my right arm still smells like Pink Sugar but I smell nothing on my left arm… Is this what’s supposed to happen? Or does this mean the copulins “disappeared” too?

well, i cant get copulins to dissapear for nothing so
this truley is a mystery for me.
copulins might leave faster with the addition of more alcohol, but then you would still smell the pink sugar there.

Mmmmm… The Pink Suger on my right arm had practically faded to nothing too now… I’m going to try it over a more moisturising body lotion or oil, that also seems to help perfume last longer. I can still smell the perfume in my clevage on which I put an oilier moisturiser this morning, so maybe that’s it.

Do copulins normally fade together with the perfume or before or after?

@jennifer33KY sorry for asking all these questions in your tread, hope you don’t mind :o

No I don’t mind. I just placed an order for EoW and some SOE gel packs earlier today. I just hope my orders get here soon!! Now I just have to get myself some Pink Sugar. I went back to Sephora yesterday and found another perfume that I really like it was called Lavanila Vanilla Coconut. In the past I’ve always had problems getting perfume to actually stay and not fade away but with the vanilla scents I’ve tried and the Pink Sugar I can still smell them on me for at least 24 hours. Hoepfully I will be posting some results later this week.

Flirtatious, I did the same thing a year or so ago. I bought several of those little sample vials of Pink Sugar on ebay and dumped one into a nearly empty bottle of EoW. I think the resulting ratio was 1:10 EoW:Pink Sugar. I let it sit for about a week or so to cure and after using it a few times, I forgot about it. Maybe a month later I saw it in the back of my phero drawer and thought “oh, this should be really good by now!”

I opened it up and was overwhelmed by a sickly sweet maple syrup smell. No, it wasn’t good.

It could have just been that batch of EoW, which was one of the good 'uns to be sure, but still… it may have been slightly different than what they are selling now.

I tend to smell copulins on me long after I can no longer smell my cover scent. That being said, I have people tell me they can still smell my Pink Sugar 8+ hours after I applied it, when I can no longer detect it. Copulins, though, my nose never seems to acclimate to that smell.

YMMV, but Demeter scents have a reputation of not being long lasting. Their original intent, iirc, was not necessarily as personal fragrances but as “pick me up” scents for you to spray and enjoy in your personal space for a very limited amount of time. Any Demeter product I have tried dissipated within an hour or less.

Demeter was/is huge amongst my group of friends, but yeah… the only way to get the smell to stick around would be to layer it with an oil or lotion, and even then… I certainly would never trust it to cover copulins.
