I’ve let this go as long as I can.
Seems to me since I opened my big fat mouth about the Sptizer thing…I’ve lost a coupla friends…sigh. I told myself when I joined I wouldn’t get involved in discussions of this kind…knew when I was doing it it was a mistake…but against my better judgement did it anyway. I got too comfortable…should know better than to expose myself that way…as I too late remembered…too much honesty can be a dangerous thing…serves me right. In fact I even regret reading it…won’t do that again either. Just want you to know that I pretty much live my life straight up and don’t regret much, but I do regret this. I really didn’t mean to offend anybody…but I think I did. I don’t think the fact that I’ve said this will change anyones feelings about it…and I really don’t expect it to. Just wanted to apologize. Truth is it almost drove me off these boards. Lesson learned…a little too late.
Wha? Who got offended? My Spitzer post was tongue in cheek, but it was also perty left-wing. Nobody told me they stopped being friends w me over it. Am I being clueless? Bella, I put my 2 cents in that thread against my better judgement as well. I’ve often found my political opinions often differ from my customers. Sometimes I keep my mouth shut; sometimes I let it run and risk losing a customer because of it. I decided long ago to never regret a decision to express my honest opinion.
There was once upon a time the idea that an honest opinion was a birthright in America. Every child was taught that sticks and stones were weapons. Words were not. In fact it was poor form to allow words to hurt.

People in power should realize, if they think they can abuse they system with their imaginary powers, they’re deserve an ear and eyeful from Ms. Bella!!! Even powerful people need to be kept in check.
