A journal section

Do you ladies want a journal section? I haven’t heard any real requests over here, but if you want one let me know.

Hello Handsome

Yes some ladies have mentioned it. I for one dont care for the journals myself for the same reason as you they are just to damn long but I think it would be appropriate to place one in here for the ladies to use if they want.

Just my 2 cents

Tisha

place one here and see how it goes steve.

worst that would happen is that the journals section will be empty. we girls probably have a need to make separate threads for every separate success, but journals help us keep track of things ourselves.

but now that the guys have their own journals section, we girls are jeehlus.

I’d like to have my journal in the boys section. Then more people would read it. Would that work?

Sure SteveO…why not? Ladies can use it if they choose.

SteveO, may I make a suggestion that would be good for everyone?

I really thought the journals section would be a peer (at the same level as) the men’s, women’s and A314 forum, not a sub-forum. Subforums suffer from the same issue as being a sticky. Nobody looks up there. If it became a major section, both men and women could post their journals there.

Thats a good idea, it would be right up Kitty’s alley

You know what we really need SteveO?

…a section for the lovelorn.

seems alotta peolpe are looking for romantic advice that really has nothing to do with pheromones… I’m not talking about PUA technics shared here…questions about romance, unrelated to pheromone usage, here and there …and the response to these questions…as a matter of course… are important, expected, good, fine and perfectly acceptable…

hey, I like a good love story as much as much as the next gal…but this… …

TITLE: AMMO/ Instant Sexiness Didn’t work On My Girlfriend / Boyfriend???.." I tried three spays and she/he ran away from me…:open_mouth: … …now she’s/he’s dating my best friend…and sleeping with the soccer/cheerleading team…how can i make her/him love me again… :frowning:…?..puhleeeeze!

… then the ensuing litany of everything BUT the use of pheromones… this endless drivel…forgive me, but that’s what it is…either belongs in the lounge… perhaps the journal section…it’s own section…OR ELSEWHERE…like another forum…when it’s unrelated to relavent pheromone usage.

…no…sorry…four sprays of AMMO/1000X or Instant Sexiness 500X’s cops added…OR…a S**t load of of any other pheromones is gonna do the work for you.

Don’t know if I should have started another thread about this…

…thanks…I’m done.

Bella

true… agree!

Great idea! Let’s call it the “Dear Bella” section!

Oh, do I like Tater’s suggestion. That guy’s kinda smart.

I dont necessarily agree with that. I dont look at it as drival by any means. Most people come to this forum to spice up there love life or because they have a problem with their love life and I do not look at any of there problems or questions as drival. They are pheromone related especially when they are using pheromones to try to improve there situations. I realise that you and your husband have a great relationship. I also have a great one with mine and I am thankful for that but I will not belittle others for there problems because for the grace of god it could be me someday.

I realize this is a pheromone forum and I suggest if all you want to read is pheromone related information then simply do not read the other posts. We do not get overwhelmed with relationship questions so I dont believe there is a need for a seperate “lovelorn” forum at this time.

This forum is popular for many reasons and one of those reasons is the willingness and sensitivity of the members to anwser questions and the homey feeling new people get here. Change that to much and you will have a cold, unpersonal lifeless enviroment with redundant posts on pheromones. After a while it would dry up just like many other forums on the net. Its the personal human touch that makes this more then just a forum but a safe place they can get advice. The people who post asking for advice are people who are currantly using mones and some that are planning to buy them.

If the posts became overwhelming then I would agree that prehaps a separate area would be in order but I think if we make separate areas for mone testing then that will automatically be covered.

JMHO

Tisha

I like the lovelorn questions. Makes me feel useful. No one has a perfect lovelife and we all turned to pheromones for a reason. There’s a lot more to pheromones than just fixing up a romantic problem, but that’s what brings a lot of people here in the first place.

raises hand It brought me here. Granted, I started using them for many other reasons, but it was my original motive…displayed for all to see in the Newbie sticky. smacks self in face

This analogy was, clearly, my feeble attempt at humor. My mistake. Perhaps I was too harsh.

Tisha, I’m sorry if I offended you or any member of the PheroTalk forum, that was never my intent.

My intent was and is, as stated in my intro post, to learn, experiment with and use these products to my advantage, have fun doing it, share my knowledge and to be a worthy contributor to the PheroTalk forum. I was also hoping to make a few new friends.

My remarks, in this post, have nothing to do with my relationship with my husband and I do not make that comparison.

And I am far from belittling, unwilling and insensitive, cold and impersonal or lifeless and redundant in my approach to people or life. And If I thought you were directing that remark solely at me I would be offended.

Of course people have to tell their story. And I agree there’s nothing wrong with joining the PheroTalk forum and asking questions about your work, family, love life, etc…if it pertains, primarily, to the use or future use of pheromones to improve their situation. People are drawn to PheroTalk for that very reason. And who doesn’t want to confirm that pheromones ‘really’ work, before investing in a product so few know about? That’s not what I’m talking about. This is what I’m talking about.

I did not refer to “any of there problems or questions as drival”.

What I referred to as drivel was…

I did not say that they should not reiterate about whatever they want. We are all free to speak.

What I said was this type of discussion…

In other words if they’re not asking questions about the use or future use of pheromones on the PheroTalk forum, as it pertains to their work, family, or love life…what they’re really asking for is advice just about, work, family or their love life. I have no issue with this. All I’m saying is if the discussion is nearly void of pheromone content it belongs in the lounge or elsewear…isn’t the lounge reserved for ‘off topic’ discussion? Or am I mistaken about what constitutes ‘off topic’ discussion. I was under the impression that ‘off topic’ means… discussions primarily unrelated to the use of pheromones.

You’re right, Tisha, I will be more selective in what I read, where I post and who I respond to.

Once again my apologies.

Bella

Bella Bella Bella

I am not offended in any way by your posts in fact I enjoy them but upon reading my response I can see where you would think I was.

You in my opinion you are a very worthy contibutor and I am sorry if my post made you feel as though you are not. That was not my intention what so ever.

I never said you were any of those things or anyone one else in the forum. I was referring to the atmosphere of the forum as opposed to the atmosphere of forums that dont allow personal talk and openness. Wont name the forum I am referring to because I dont want to rehash that war. To tell you the truth I like you and think your a hoot and I have told SteveO that more then once. Like a fresh breeze you are.

I will admit the drival part got me a little from this statement but prehaps I am being over sensitive or over protective.

I know you didnt mention your husband in this post but you are one of the few married ladies on the forum I relate to since I am also married so I know you were not comparing anyone to your situation. Again I worded that part poorly. I am usually pretty good at wording things but this past week with all the holiday craziness I have been lacking in that area. :frowning:

I do see your point though and I will try harder to move posts to there relevant location.

So all in all I cant except your apology at least in my case because you do not owe me one. I however owe you one if my opinion hurt your feelings and that I didnt take the time to word it better then I did.

((((Bella))))) I am sorry

Tisha

Tater’s idea is excellent … no reason to separate the men’s from the women’s journals, but putting that subforum at the same level with the others would make it more likely they would be read. Stickies get ignored.

((((Bella and Tisha)))) you’re both right … I agree that strictly relationship/PUA subjects (if they don’t involve pheromones at all) belong in the Lounge or in yet another (sigh) dedicated subforum. Not a biggie, though. We can always just skip over those … unless we are seriously compulsive pherotalkers :o:rolleyes::smiley:

I tried to read some of the journals but was bored to tears. I’d rather see more concise prose on single topics. But rather than bury them in the men’s or or women’s forums, a link on the main index would make it easier to ignore, err, find.

As for the stickies, since everyone is ignoring them, why don’t we give them their own section at the main forum index. Thus we won’t have to stroll past them everyday…

I think there are personality differences, Gegogi. Lists of facts just dont mean much to me, for example. I dont get excited because someone just posted something or other about P93 either. I have to make myself go read about that. But put a story behind it or let me feel like i know something about the author, like reading about Data and his marriage, and im not just there, im involved. Some of us relate to people more easily than topics. I could read about Carrie or Lor all day long, and Tacitus’ posts are so over-the-top that i just like his style. The stories that describe attempts to rekindle lost love, and the whole process of communing with each other is what makes the forum bearable for me. If it turns into “P123 got me laid last night”, “scientists suspect the g-receptor in the olfactory glands of irradiated teenage mutant ninja turtles accelerates priming for sexual readiness and increased appetite for pizza” and “how do i get my landlords wife to jump my bones”, i think me outtie. Thats why i whined about the tabloid-style topic name changes. That whole tone repels me.

The journals arent mandatory for anybody. You have to choose to put your journal in that section. You have to choose to write a journal in the first place. I dont think anyone will insist on a Gegoggi journal (i.e. force you to write one), though i personally would be very interested in such. Tisha likes the idea of a standardized form for reporting our phero-findings. The day i have to fill out a form is the day you never hear from me again. We all contribute here, just some prefer to contribute in different forms.

I understand that drilling for facts is painful for you. Similarly, reading through posts that dont have relationship content is research (=work) for me. Hopefully there are others here who agree.

Instead of starting several sections and creating factions that break apart the forum, i suggest…

Men’s Phero Issues (or whatever its called right now)
Women’s Phero Issues
Journals
Lounge

This minor change gives both the fact-driven and the story-driven somewhere to hang out. Let me also point out that, since the Journals section is/would be unavailable to unregistered users, that people might feel safer posting more personal detail about their results. I also dont see a reason why non-phero relationship stuff needs a separate section. Thats just part of what belongs in a journal. My guess is that most of the PUA stuff will be very topic-driven and will continue to be well-served by separate questions in one of the phero advice/issues sections, or the Lounge.

Since im already stirring up the muck, and likely to have everybody hate me, lets not hold anything back. I think the primary reason why we have and should have a separate womens section is because its a smaller community, with a somewhat different feeling. In the past, ive thought there was a bit too much leakage of male, or male vs female content into that section. Some questions/content posted there (here) doesnt seem very woman-friendly, though well-meaning. I say that, even though ive posted some of it. Im not suggesting grrrl-power fascism, but maybe we should be a bit more protective of the womens forum.

At the same time, i believe thats the only section of the forum that should be sexually divided. We need a Journals section, not a mens journals and womens journals section. The target audience is likely to read the journals of people they find interesting or identify with, whether male or female.

So, if anybody is still talking to me, im gonna step off the podium now.

Your misunderstanding me, Read my above post (12) I like the personal stories told in the forum and yes I like the standardized form for reporting on TEST products when your doing your INTIAL testing because they are clear, concise, easy to navigate and give all the information that Androtics requires for testing in one post. This is the information that is useful to them and the reason anyone can even purchase the advanced products we all love. If you read my post on “how to report” I state its just a example and that you just need to have all the relevant information. You can still report it in your own personal style.

Report posts are for Androtics as well as for people like gegogi who want to get straight to the point and information he seeks. If you dont want to read them you dont have to but Androtics still needs them.

It is also easier for people doing a search to find relevant information without having to read a book about peoples personal opinions or antidotes if they dont want to.

After that information is complete people can go to the journal section and write a auto biography if they so choose. But some get so long that it may take hours for Androtics to sift through them and find the info they are looking for.

I have nothing against having a journal section at all and I really do love your journal Tater please dont get me wrong. That has already happened to me in this thread.
I think your presence here is valuable and you contribute greatly. I dont want you to think I am criticizing you or your journal because I really do enjoy it just the way it is. It is one of my favorite threads. Yours is just the longest so I will refer to it.

I look at it from Androtics point of view and I am not trying to speak for them just making a point here. I have been told more then once that this is a research forum as well as a place where we can share our opinions and antidotes. Try to look at it from a research standpoint and not a sales standpoint. Yes this is a business and sales are needed to further this business but research is needed to create more products to sell. Which is one of the reasons why new people need access to some information on advanced products.

Jasmin has said many times that they need detailed feedback on the products.

Think how does it help them if we just write something like MX XYZ is like Caucasian magic (sorry dont remember which mix) It leaves questions. How Much, What indicators, Enviroment, Consistancy, ect. Its not a report its a statement and its ok to just post statements but Androtics just sold products at a loss for concise explicit information and they dont always get that.

Are you saying you cant give them 5 minutes of your time to report a seperate post with all the information required and still post in your journal? Once you post a report on your intial findings with a new product you can post further info in your journal if you dont want to continue in that thread.

I dont think they are asking for to much. I dont know how the forum will be set up in the future and whatever they decide I will be fine with it. I would not stop posting just because they asked me for a report. If they want a questionaire I would do it because I enjoy these products. I appreciate that I have the opportunity to try some of the test products.

I just want to reiterate, Tater your journal is a great enjoyable read and I value its presence and I know I speak for both Jasmin and SteveO when I say that. But for myself I am a little disappointed when you say the day you have to report is the day we will not see you here anymore. 5 minutes Tat thats all it takes and only one on each advanced product you have tried. You have half of those covered already so you would only have to do it on new ones.

How can we ask the newbies to do it and tell them they cant try advanced products unless they do and not do it ourselves?
That go’s for me as well.

I would never stop talking to you because of your opinion. I hope you feel the same. God knows people have been taking me wrong alot the last few weeks.
