Hell of a lot of None, probably right around 100 mcg’s and congruency will play a key factor. The A314 and MX103 ought to go some ways toward buffering it, but Ima gonna be interested in hearing about the days escapedes.
LOL! I had a few confrontations, and one hilariously funny occurrence that might bite me in the ass later.
My supervisor, who is a scab from way back that we call “Grandpa” asked me if I had something I was supposed to be doing. I said “Yep. This chair I’m sitting in damn near flew up and hit Shannon (one of the QA inspectors) in the face, so I’m holding it down. Sure enough, the computer threatened to revolt, so I’m having to soothe the beast by playing some Freecell. So, as you can see, I’m kinda busy here.” I think he was so stunned by my audacity that he couldn’t even try to say anything. My team leader was right beside me on another computer checking prices on shotguns, and he just busted out laughing.
Believe it or not, that’s not the thing that might get me later on. Later that day, I decided to take a “Fuck off, boss, I’m having a cigarette” break. Our shop steward was outside talking to a group of maintenence guys, along with someone I’ve never seen before who was conspicuously dressed in a Boeing polo and khaki pants. I sidled on in beside the steward and when he said “So, just do what you’ve gotta do today and tomorrow, and we’ll see what happens.”, I announced “I’ll tell you what I’m doing. A whole lotta Jack, with just a little bit of Shit. If I so much as touch a bottle of MPK (the solvent we use to clean wings), I’ve done too much.” There were a couple of nervous sounding chuckles, and then I walked back in to get back to work on that game of Freecell. About 15 minutes later, the steward comes in and tells me “Jon, I know you’re pissed. We’re all pissed. Emotions are high and tempers are flaring, but you don’t want to talk like that in front of the GENERAL MANAGER OF THE ENTIRE WORK SITE like that (emphasis added by me).” Needless to say, my cornhole puckered a little bit. LOL!
Anyway, as of midnight Friday night, we’re officially on strike. I’ll be heading up to Fox’s in a few days. I’ll probably go A314 heavy, but if anyone has any other suggestions to try for my attempt at getting hired, I’m all ears.
Well Jon, I gotta say that was funny as hell, but when the strikes over and you all go back to work, I’ma gonna suggest you go back wearing Instant Gentleman and Instant Shine.
Maybe you could shoot some A314 over to the Union negotiator.
Hang tight though, when all is said and done I’m betting you end up with more than you have now.
Alrighty, then… I just spent the last few days catching up on yardwork and the extremely late spring cleaning. Heh…
Tomorrow morning, I’m heading up to Fox’s to speak with the manager. Wish me luck! And Idle, if you happen to catch this thread, I understand you have a little insight in the world of adult entertainment. Any advice you could give? Thanks!
Well, it looks like I’m just gonna have to play this by ear. Here’s what I’m wearing, with a little rationalization as to why:
4 drops of A314-- 1 split on wrists, 1 behind each ear, and 1 on the chin/soulpatch. The reason here is pretty obvious. I’ll need to be pretty alpha in demeanor and give off the vibe that I’m the kind of guy who’s in control of himself.
2 sprays of Turn Up The Heat 2x-- 1 on either side of my neck. Again, this is geared towards an alpha vibe. While TUTH is Androtics’ numero uno sexual mix, I’m looking to have the higher concentration of -none augment the smaller amount in the A314. I think given the venue, a flavor of sexuality isn’t unwarranted, but the only person I’m looking to woo is the manager, and it’s strictly on the terms of whether or not I’m hirable for the position.
2 sprays of Come Talk To Me Mix 2-- Inner elbows. Gotta bring some honesty and approachability to the table. Yes, I’m in control, but I’m not so far above the masses that I’m on any kind of pedestal. This is also to try to elicit some honesty from the people I talk to. I hate getting my chain yanked.
2 sprays of P79 (50 mcg/spray)-- shoulder/neck area (bottle held further away to allow for wider coverage). This is the MSG for the recipe. Flavor enhancer, if you will.
I’m leaving in a half an hour from this posting. I can’t wait to report back.
Yeah, I was thinkin’ I read that wrong. I top out at about 10 or 12 on P79. It kinda makes sense going for that sort of job though. Intensity counts! Good Luck!
Nothing substantial yet, but here’s what happened. I walked in and this extremely cute waitress came to the front podium, presumably to take my cover fee and let me in. Before she could go into the schpiel, I smiled and said “Hi, I was wondering if I could speak with the manager.” She gave me a an unsure, narrow-eyed look and said “What… did you need?” I took her suspicious attitude in stride. I mean, this place has a huge target painted on it by state and local authorities. “I just wanted to see if you guys had any openings available. For the door, or parkinglot attendants, I mean. Not that I’m against dancing as a rule, it’s just I’m not sure I’d appeal to the clientele.” She laughed and said “Oh, I can help you with that,” as she pulled a 5x8" card and business card out of a drawer under the cash register, telling me to fill it out and call the manager (she gave his name) at the number on the business card after 7 tonight.
That’s basically it. I’ll make the phone call later and see how it goes. Later on, I went to do a couple hours of picket duty at a nearby Boeing facility and Stephany called me. I told her what I intended to do and asked her about the manager I’m supposed to call. She said he’s pretty cool, so we shall see. I’ll let you guys know.
Try going in and talking directly to the manager. Maybe he can get you an in somewhere in the future. I know my boss looks at people applying much more seriously if he can meet them. It just leaves an impression. Anyways good luck man :]. I want more strip club extravaganza lol.
Yeah, under normal circumstances, I’m the kind of guy that would rather shake the hand and look into the eyes of the guy I’m looking to work for, but I wasn’t sure how that’d work in this case. When the waitress gave me the instructions, it seemed to me that those were the rules of the game and it would be best to follow them.
The manager sounded like a decent guy, and I put on my usual 1 octave below normal, self-assured, non-stuttery voice that I use for professional occasions, which came off flawlessly. He said “Right now, I don’t have any spots, but go ahead and drop off the card anyway. We might be able to use you if we lose anyone, and I can call you up to set up a time to meet and discuss the job and what goes on here.” I laughed to myself at that point, thinking, “I know exactly what goes on there! Tits n’ more!”
Tomorrow, I’ll probably stop in while I’m out running errands. I’d like to be able to go in and talk to him, but I imagine it’ll be pretty busy, being Friday night. One of the bouncers I’ve gotten to know might be working, and it could give me an opportunity to find out about turn-over, personality aspects of the manager I can use to my advantage, etc.
Of course, I’ll keep you guys updated on every step of the way.
