Discussion-Alpha vs bad-boy

Well said. I couldn’t have put it any better.

And therefore the ones that are always prepared, who possess the knowledge, can say: I make my OWN luck.

p.s: JVK, even if you weren’t tryin to market your books, im sold!
id appreciate if you could give me the book’s name(s); a list of your most recommended ones if you have written multiple ones.

We used simply call such a state of being a man, in contrast to being a weenie, pussywhip or nutless fool. But I suppose popular culture evolves and “alpha” sounds more lofty than man. I prefer to think of myself as a man and not an alphabet (or character from a dog pack hierarchy). Okay Kuhuna kinda tickles mah pickle. Back in the day I often referred to my college roommates as boozers and stoners. Of course now it’s more PC to label them as substance abusers. Seems to elevate them to a higher realm of existence. Mankind = Alphakind. Manhood = Alphahood.

Agreed; context is important, as indicated in the following recent report.

“…women prefer low dominance in most circumstances, but prefer higher dominance when such behavior is appropriate or necessary in the current social context (e.g., an explicitly competitive interaction). In sum, women’s mate preferences for dominance may be so highly context specific that trait rating studies that do not specify contextual factors may largely mischaracterize the effects of dominance on men’s attractiveness.”
