Does your pet know what 'mone your using?

I’m wondering if you pet owners, dogs, cats, etc have noticed any behavioral changes in your pets when using some 'mones?

Or maybe in friends pets…?

I have a Golden and just curious to find out if anyone else has asked this or found anything different in their 4 legged friends!!!

I’ll report back on my dog if I see any changes!

I remember someone mentioning a friend owning a female horse and the horse would flaunt here female parts at him when wearing certain mixes, as if offering herself to him.

:o I wonder if that mix also worked on people? :o

That is interesting Digital B! Do you recall any part of the mix?

Seems like my Golden is going to be my lab rat!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

One of my kitties is particularly sensitive to pheros, and sometimes he will just follow me around, and snuggle into me really hard as if he can’t get close enough to me, like he’s trying to smush into me and meld, lol.

I’ll see if i can find the report later on when I have time. Shouldn’t be hard. Was one of the threads that discusses using Athena 10x.

LOL! sounds like that cat can’t get enough of 'em!!! Is there anyone in particular where you see that he goes completely ‘snuggles’?

I can just picture the little guy pushing into you with his head, he’s stretching his forehead by pushing hard into your leg, he could lose his eyes that way!!!

Thanks Sillykitty for providing me we that funny mental picture!!!

I don’t see any change in behaviour. Two of my cats are affectionate to the point that they become a nuisance while the third is badass, that’s the way they’ve always been. This one monster hates to be held, allows patting, stroking and scratching around the neck and head, but immediately gets violent if anyone touches him on the back, belly or the hind legs.

Seems like they don’t give a good god damn about mones, nor scents. As long as I put food in their bowl I can stink of shit for all they care.

It’s an interesting thought as some species of animal share the same sexual pheromones as other entirely different species. Anyway, I have a dog a notice no difference in behaviour when wearing mones, nor do I notice a difference around friend’s pets.

Yes animals know what pheromones your using. Not by name of course but they can read the signals.

Pheromones are a big part of how animals communicate.

Ever hear someone say try not to be afraid around certain animals ? They can smell fear. Humans release a alarm pheromone. I am not sure if science has isolated it yet but give them time they will. I think its P94 myself (snort) LOL J/K

How do you think blood hounds find their targets ? Pheromones

Why do you think cats like to rub up against your legs ? They are scenting you with their pheromones. Realize they dont belong to you, you belong to them, thats how cats are.

Its why male cats spray as well, to mark there territory.

Dogs dont stick there nose in your crotch for the thrill. They are trying to figure you out. With the way we are hygienic now a days they gotta get right up in there LOL :stuck_out_tongue:

Ever wonder why when one bee stings you the rest chase you around. Pheromones.

Animals can tell if your male or female, fertile or not fertile, Dominate or submissive, Mean or nice, sad or happy, healthy or sick, old or young all from your pheromones. Your pet knows you just as well if not better then you know it.

Your dog also identifies you partially by pheromones. If your dog is sleeping and you walk in the room and he/she cant make a visual or hear your voice to make a identification and your wearing pheromones they have never been exposed to before they may snap at you. I have had this happen and so have a few other members. Let them smell your new signature.

My cats dont like some pheromones and love others. If I wear something to masculine or alpha they hate it but they adore my husband so I think it just confuses them. If I wear TAL they sort of snub me. Anol Bnol and TAA they love and they insist on laying all over me. P74 seems to be there favorite for some reason they will even lay on the bottle if I leave it out. Copulins they are absolutely insulted by. Even in the bottle. If I leave the bottle on the dresser they will go out of there way to swat it off and look at me like I committed a mortal sin (snort)

Tisha

Hi Tisha! Sooo cool to have read your experiences with your cats!! Thanks for the info on pheromones in the animal world, yes, precisely, I was thinking about animal behaviour, that many aspects of animal socialization and interaction have to do with the application of odors and pheromones by both sexes.

I found this thread HERE ("Pet" Useful Pheromones?) on others that had commented on A314 and it’s Alpha leader effects being ‘respected’ by dogs. Of course, 'mones don’t do all the work, you have to behave like n Alpha to get their respect.

Sweet!!! I have a bottle of A314 coming in and am eager to test it on my “lab” rat!!!

Oh, and I don’t have any cats at home but eventually can test with my sis in law’s (2) cats.

BWHAHAHAHAHA!!! No harming of animals will be permitted in this testing!!!

Yep, I get that often with my Golden from people that come to visit!!! ‘Can you tell her NOT to do THAT!!!’ Like as if she is INTENTIONALLY trying to get in their panties!!! Chill!!! She just checking you out, see where you are in the Respect chain!!!:smiley::smiley:

Yup Misein! I’ve had cats since I was wee big and they are very self centered and self interested. But, cute and lovable just the same!!! Don’t have any now, though.

Yeah, some do have ‘issues’ that need you to be mindful.

Though I’m very curious, how did you test out the ‘stink of shit’ when you fed them?!?!? :stuck_out_tongue::confused::wink:

Thanks Tisha, needed the laugh. Used to have cats, correction, I had a couple of cats I belonged to  and can absolutely relate to how they act.

Currently don’t have any pets, but the other day I was wearing my Instant Shine 2X at a friend’s house and his cat immediately jumped in my lap and stuck his nose to the area on my wrist where I has sprayed it. He then commenced to one of the most violent sneezing fits I’ve ever seen a cat have. I managed to grab him and wipe his nose on my sleeve where I didn’t have any pheromones or cologne just in case some Instant Shine rubbed off on his nose. Seemed to help a bit, but the cat just gave me a “hurt feelings” look and went in the other room, still sneezing. My friend just sat there blinking at the whole show with a WTF look on his face. I just shrugged and said that I guess the cat’s allergic to my cologne.

Ohh man!! I busted up when I read what happened to that poor cat! LOOOL!!! Thank you SOOO much for posting! That was a good belly laugh!!!

Instant Shine 2x - Direct contact causes sneezing fit in cats (need to get confirmation) LOL!

I found with the A314, I’m getting less resistance from my Golden in obeying my commands. I’m being as stern as usual with the right attitude, when before is would take a couple of commands and a correction, now, it takes the command and she will turn up to look at me and comply!

Wow, this wasn’t why I purchased A314 but it is helping out with training!!! Thats a great plus for me!!!

Found maromi’s comments on pets getting some crazies when they catch wind of mones!

Just a few experiences of my own.

I house sit for a friend who has 2 cats, the female hissed at me one night when I was mixing NPA with some Amen and got near her.

Before I split with Steeler Girl, her little chihuahua was all up in my neck and just couldn’t get enough of me. I was wearing ammo. The dog already loves me and freaks out when she sees me, but no where near like this. Even Steeler Girl was laughing at how desperate she seemed to get up into my neck.

I was wondering last night if perhaps dogs who sense oncoming seizures in their owners are in fact reacting to a sharp change in pheromone production by the human.

My Cat seemed to notice and acted all weird jumping around with her tail all fluffed up but she was fine 30 min later and never did it again, but they have like 200x the smell of humans or something crazy like that, so idk if it was the smell or the mone but it seemed like she had a definite reaction on day 1.
