Female PUA classes??

Hey ladies.

We’ve got a new member, saraunne, over in the “introductions” forum that could use some tips on being a female PUA.

Here is a blog by Dolly, a female PUA. Looks interesting, though I haven’t yet had the chance to read.

The background on how she became one is here -

Dolly understands attraction because in early 2005, she decided to take control of her dating life and studied attraction herself, essentially becoming a female PUA. She researched the subject, field tested her technique, and wrote a community-acclaimed blog detailing her escapades. She is now scheduled to speak at the largest pickup convention in the world in July, and signed to PM in May 2006, she is our newest addition.

In January 2006, she was sitting in a bar with some friends when she was approached by a man with a glowing necklace. She immediately called him out on peacocking and being a PUA. Testing him by putting one of her friends in front of him and watching him seduce her within minutes, she knew she had met her first talented PUA: Affection, and soon played his wingwoman for his infamous Penthouse Pet of the Year sarge.

Hah! Thanks for the shout out.

Dolly’s blog is really intriguing if anybody else has read it or is interested. Very revealing, not just about her adventures. Also has links to blogs of other PUAs, mostly men as far as I can see, but from what I’ve skimmed those are also noteworthy, simply to see what they do and how they do it.

Not sure if that’s the direction I’m going for – but she certainly inspires awe.

Thanks, Pheroquirk!

Hey,

Affection from Project Manhattan, Dolly’s company. I’m definitely interested in creating classes for women. What skills specifically would you be looking to accomplisht in your quest for female PUA classes?

Thanks,

Hi Affection,
I might be speaking for quite a few women when I suggest banter and conversation (although I could be wrong). I know I certainly wish I knew how to do those things well.

You might also want to include flirting techniques.

wow, I’ve been trauling the internet for information on female PUAs! I think the concept of female PUA classes would be ideal and in my view would get an amazing response! It’s so difficult to learn about pick-up and try to translate it into something that would work for women. Lessons forcusing on approaching and opening would be fantastic as a start

Apologize for sounding ignorant… but can someone quickly remind me why this is needed?

and… if it is needed… I think it would be a easier version of the male PUA stuff lol

:open_mouth:

Why is it so difficult for men to understand that women could need help with dating just as much as men? Men seem to assume that standing in a bar, telling your friends not to cock-block is enough for a woman to find someone.
I dont understand. Women can be as socially inept as men.
True, women are not expected to be as proactive or aggressive as men when it comes to dating but i, personally, see little value in wearing a low-cut top and patiently getting hit on untill someone i actually like makes the attempt.
Further, pick-up isn’t only teaching men how to be better with women, but how to interact better with EVERYONE. Whats wrong with women learning these social skills?

I do want to clear up that I had no intentions of offending. And if it did, I would like to apologize.

Now, with that said, I want to, I guess, apply support to my previous post.

Within intelligent biological species, females are most universally the chooser of who will bare their child. With millions of that “law” written into our DNA, it gives females an “upper edge” when it comes to socializing with the opposite sex. However, it is duly noted here that there are variables within this law.

Now if we take it from the social point of view. Females gets let off the leash easier than males. When a male approaches a female and gets rejected, the females can potentially think of him as a creep, weirdo, etc. On top of that, the male’s friends laugh at him for failing. Now if you reverse the roles, and a female approaches a male, the males may not think too much of it (I know I dont) and the female’s friends are more encouraging than the friends belonging to the male counter part. Throw these two separate equations together and take a sample over 5-6 years, the psychological impact can be great.

I lost my thought. But anyway, when I commented on this, I didnt mean that women should not have the right to learn stuff like this. What I mean is, women have it slightly (no matter how minute) easier off than guys because of the biological psychological and social effects.
