I know most of you know everything that I’ll talk about in this post, but I feel obligated to do it even if no one will read it. Either way, it’ll be a memento to look back on some day.
I ordered 3 “to-go” sized bottles of pheromones in my first order:
SHINE:
Used this for the first time a few days ago, at a rehearsal for the school musical. I thought it was a full cast rehearsal, but it was divided into 2 groups: choreography for guys (me), and singing for girls, both in separate areas of the school. I was sort of bummed out, but then towards the end of the night, all the girls came back in to watch the guys do their part, sitting in the front row seats, a good 3 feet down and 20-30 feet out.
Now, I’m not sure if it’s just my singing/acting, which I’m good at on my own, but I got a few comments that I was the best one up there, and I noticed a few girls I liked looking and smiling at me more than the other guys. Of course, I’ll be doing more research until the bottle runs out.
HONESTY:
Two of my female friends and I decided to go out to breakfast one day before school. I get “friend-only” vibes from both of them, but good friends nonetheless. So, we went to Perkins and stayed for a good hour eating and talking together. In all honesty (pun) though, I didn’t notice anything that stood out from what a regular conversation would have been like. Maybe I just don’t know what to look for yet. Research will continue.
OPENNESS:
Wore it to school one day, didn’t notice anything different, similar to honesty… Testing will continue.
Not to mention, you have to find your “sweet spot”. I was getting little to no reaction to Shine. I started out at one spray, maxed out at four, then decided to experiment with placement. For me, the “perfect mix” so far, that has had the most noticeable results, is one spray behind each ear. Others report best results from neck, chest, hair, forearms and back of the head/neck. Some people use over four sprays.
Shine also seems to be a subtle pheromone mix, you’re (probably) not going to have huge reactions to it, but once you find your zone with it you’ll find people being more talkative, friendly and outgoing. A lot of people find that they get the same results on themselves, the “self-effect”. I don’t personally, but I’m a naturally outgoing person so I might not even notice.
It’s good that you’re trying them out individually. A lot of people here layer different products, but normally they’ve experimented A LOT to find what works best for them. Individual use allows you to fine tune one product so you’ll know it well before adding another to the mix.
And last but not least, welcome to the world of pheromones!
That kind of summarizes my plan, txironhead: Figure out the properties and effects of each individual pheromone, then mix as needed. Takes a lot of the guesswork out, I figure.
I’m thinking of getting Instant Gentleman, as well as Ammo and/or TUTH in my next order. I’d love to give A314 a shot, but that’s not really within my budget at the moment. Maybe if it came in a smaller bottle; but I’m holding off for now. One step at a time .

I thought the same thing about A314, but SteveO told me that it’s not cost-effective to make a smaller bottle considering it’s oil-based. Not to mention that as effective as it appears to be, even a large bottle probably wouldn’t last that long!
