Howdy ~
Thank you so much for shipping so quickly! I ordered on Wednesday night and received the package on Friday morning, which made it possible for me to try it all out over the weekend. This was kind of a big deal because our band had been invited to be one of the featured bands at a folk music festival. (And Saturday was my birthday, too. ![]()
Here’s how it went…
Dropped kids off with their big sister and brother-in-law (which is better than Disneyland to them). We arrived Friday afternoon to set up our RV close to the rest of our band members, and I put on a few sprays of IShine, ISexyB and IO. Discovered that they smell very mild and nice, and that they do NOT make my spouse sneeze. (He’s allergic to lots of perfumes.)
Played our set from 8 - 9, then came back to the camp. Sprayed a bit more, sprayed some IShine and 1 spray of TUTH on my spouse, and played music around the “campfire” (really just a few Coleman lanterns) until about 2am. We had about 6 - 10 visitors come to set up their chairs around and listen to us play, and a couple more people bring their instruments and join in. I didn’t really notice much difference, except that one of our friends (who was taking pictures and videos of the band for our web site) had a big grin and kept taking pictures of me. A lot.
When we got back inside the trailer, though, my dear spouse pounced on me with extra enthusiasm, and we had a lovely time.
Saturday we slept in and relaxed until our set from 6 to 7. Sprayed about 3 IShines and 3 ISexyBs, and played the set. Beautiful sunny weather, nice big audience, and the MC led them in singing Happy Birthday to me as we set up our equipment. (GRIN!) Back at the camp site across the way it was time to really relax, because all the responsibilities of the weekend were OVER. I sprayed a bunch of ISexyB, IShine and IO. Then I thought - WHAT THE HECK and used ½ a spray of TUTH. Spouse used some IShine and 2 sprays of TUTH. Then we grabbed the bottle of Jamison’s and hopped out of the trailer to play some music.
I decided that I didn’t really want to play fiddle that night, but I just wanted to lounge around and sing harmony. So I wrapped myself in a warm fuzzy blanket, grabbed my favorite camp chair next to my spouse (who was playing guitar) and put my feet up on our lead singer’s lap. This is where things started to get funny. He started rubbing my feet, and the sexual innuendos started flying around (which is absolutely normal for this group.) Other friends cheered this development, and it was decided that this was my birthday present. He rubbed my feet (very skillfully, may I add) and sang for almost an hour and a half, off and on. Even though this group is constantly making jokes about sex and making crass comments, the sexual atmosphere was much greater than usual. One couple dropped by the camp to listen to us play, and the wife was teasing me about the foot rub (in a nice way) but she was obviously affected by something because she started rubbing our singer’s shoulders as he was rubbing my feet. (?) Her husband had been spending most of the time that evening smiling and staring at me (in a non-creepy way) as though I were the most fascinating, beautiful and funny person he’d ever seen. I was waited on hand and foot (um, literally) all evening, and my spouse started addressing me as “Princess”. (I’m not normally a princess kind of chick - jeans, tennis shoes, purple hoodie and ponytail, and with 60 pounds I would like to lose.)
We’d been playing and singing (and making fairly obscene comments) for a while, when one of our bluegrass camping neighbors walked over with his mandolin. We’ve met him at this festival each year, so we know him and like him, but he’s definitely more grown up, formal and well behaved than our crew of carousing lecherous (spouse adds “good hearted”) reprobates (at 46, I’m the youngest member of our band, so it’s not like we’re exactly young…) He was obviously kind of startled by all the giggling lewdness, but he adapted. It wasn’t too long before he led the group in a rousing version of “I Don’t Look Good Naked Anymore”.
I compared notes with my spouse at the end of the evening, and we decided that the pheromones made a big difference. Yes, many of our friends are big happy horndogs, but the overall atmosphere was even more happy, relaxed and, well, OPEN than usual.
Our band of 6 members has been together for nearly 12 years, and I usually end up being the den mother when the band has to focus on work, and “one of the boys” when the band is relaxing. This time I felt really like what my spouse called me - “Celtic Princess”. I felt like I was the center of a circle of loving admirers. I got no jealousy vibes from any of the other women - just friendliness and smiles.
I also felt that I could walk up to any of the guys there, take their hand and lead them off to bed and they’d follow happily, with stars in their eyes and a dazed smile.
Note - No, I wouldn’t.
And No, I don’t REALLY think that there was anyone there who would actually leave wife or girlfriend to be with me. BUT - I’m pretty sure that all the guys (and a couple of the girls) thought I was sexy and attractive, and that in itself is a big deal for me. At best I normally feel cute, and at worst I feel blobby and asexual.
In summary -
Best. Birthday. Ever.
A great time was had by all, but especially by the ones wearing pheromones… ![]()
NOTE: After I got home on Sunday afternoon, I had a huge amount of schoolwork and a gigantic project that was due Monday evening that I had procrastinated on for months. I started working Sunday afternoon and worked steadily all night Sunday and all through the morning and afternoon of Monday. I stopped three times to eat and go to the restroom, but otherwise I worked straight through for 24 hours (without caffeine) Then I hopped in the car, drove 45 minutes to class, gave my big powerpoint, and drove home at 8pm. Never once did I feel nauseous, exhausted or achey. Pheromone aftereffects? Panic? Foot rub aftereffects? Who knows…
