What advice are you looking for?

Actually there is no rule for choosing fragrance IMO. But choosing a fragrance that you love and ladies love is different.

To select a fragrance, you should go to the fragrance store, and ask for the spray tests and find out which one you love the most. Remember the fragrance applied on the spray-test paper might not be same as fragrance on you and wait till it dry down.

Designer fragrances normally have 3 notes:
Top note: last a few minute after application.
Middle note: last up to half an hour
Base note: the longest lasting note that would normally stay atleast 3 hour after application.

Things to consider:

  • The smell you like and your special someone like.
  • Notes (woody, oriental, spicy, amber, musk)
  • Longivity
  • Store that you can get designer fragrance @low cost
  • Popularity/Uniqueness (not many people wear? Or many people love it?)
  • …

If you want to research fragrance notes and reviews, I could give u links to some sites you might be interested in.
