general neat-o music video thread

 OK Ariadne, I’ll see your Pompeii and raise you a Barrett.

Video not work safe unless your company has a “Bring Your Bong To Work” day. It’s not about the journey, it’s about the trip. Includes some good shots of London circa 1966.

Oh ho ho, you can’t out-Barrett me Renny! I have that on DVD: "Tonight Let’s All Make Love in London".

Here’s one of my favorite Syd tunes:

Dianne kicked in my World of Warcraft video hype in the Post Funny Youtube Video thread, so I’m going to toss in another. This one is more neato than funny as it actually made me a lil’ sniffly the first time I saw it. Yes, a video with cartoony video game graphics got me all emotional. LOL. Anyway, here’s what IMHO is the best WoW video ever made.

More Beastie Boys, no video though. Off of possibly their most underrated album, also quite possibly their best. Paul’s Boutique came out in 1989 and changed the face/idea/sound of hip hop in a variety of ways. You can’t make another record like this for legal reasons, but since its release there have been nothing but soundalikes.

OK, I’m on a Beastie Boys roll.

Even if you don’t like them or their brand of music, this is a cool video. From their appearance on David Letterman a few years ago. They start singing blocks away on the NY streets and make their way onto the Letterman stage from a side door.

I have a huge crush on AdRock (the third one to start from the beginning). :stuck_out_tongue:

Britney Spears? Cut me a break. This is how we used to rock it.

I can’t believe no one has posted this yet. He may be a pedophilic nutcase now, but back in the day, this was the shit:

EDIT: Ah nuts. Disabled embed. Oh well, it’s still worth clicking and watching in another window.

I really don’t think Billi Piper qualifies for the song title at all but otherwise the vid is pretty good. The Dr Who fans should get a kick from this too.

Nancy Sinatra Bang Bang

An oldie but a goodie

I remember seeing the Smiths numerous times and Morrisey was always a damn cool guy for someone as sad as he professed to be. One time in NY’s LimeLight he didn’t hear the appropriate applause so he walked off stage.

I especially think these lyrics are pretty damn funny too
