I’m asking because recently I have had some bad heartburn. I went to the doctor and she told me to take a course of prilosec OTC and see her again in 14 days. I’ve never had heartburn before so I’m a bit worried. I have also noticed that I have a post-nasal drip which I did not have before. I have read that increased mucus production can lead to an increase in acid production in the stomach leading to heartburn.

Is this unusual, or has anybody else noticed something similar?
So far I’ve used A314, IH, IJ, IS and Ammo. Most of my products have been in combination with A314.

I really hope this is something else, but at this point I can’t rule something out like an allergic reaction to one or more of the mones.

Headaches sometimes, a little fatigued after wearing Shine, and some heart racing with 392. Otherwise nothing major.

I have had no negative side effects.I would be very shocked if it was a reaction to the mones. Do you have any allergies? Are you sensitive to the citrus scent of neroli in the products. Neroli EO is pretty safe it is considered non phototoxic. unlike most citrus EO they can cause rashes and allergic reactions in sunlight just like some medications. I would check to see if it is a sensitivity to the EO or fragrance then just order with a diffrent fragrance. Or it could just be the change of weather or something else that you changed in your daily routine.

Like Radman I experience the Shine caffeine like crash. It’s not as pronounced as it was when I first started using it due to tolerance.

Never had any physical effects whatsoever. I highly doubt that the heartburn would have anything at all to do with the pheromones.

The nose drip doesn’t sound impossible though but I’d think, like papa4165, that it in that case has to do with the fragrance and not the pheromones.

The heartburn is merely a coincidence and couldn’t be caused by mone unless you ingested it. Realize mones are natural substances made by our bodies we we are not normally allergic to the byproducts of our sweat, urine and other fluids. If there is an allergic reaction to a mone product, it is the scent or fragrance that is to blame. MAny scents give me a rash, including A314 and Ammo.

I appreciate the comments, but I think it is entirely possible that the pheromones(or the fragrance) could cause this if they cause the post nasal drip. Basically I would be swallowing more mucus with the PND causing my stomach to pump out more acid. The mucus does nothing to neutralize the acid so there is nowhere for it to go except for up.

I really do hope that it is a coincidence. All of my other (known) allergies are to prescription drugs and metals. I haven’t decided how I will tackle this yet.

Maybe you should test it like they usually test for allergies?

I remember how they diagnozed me with hay fever as a child. The nurse pricked my arm a few times with a needle and applied different allergenes to each spot. The mixture containing hay and grass caused some redness and presto, the allergy was detected.

Mind you, I never had any rash or other symptoms in my skin from my allergy, but a runny nose and itchy eyes. Still the skin showed symptoms when exposed to the stuff in that manner.

P. S. As an adult the allergy went away. Just a note to others that these things can pass if one is lucky.

I would agree with this. If I’ve had any negative/reaction issues, they are most likely associated with the scents rather than the pheros themselves. Yes, I’ve also had a stuffy/runny nose from using them - Akuto mainly.

I too have a number of allergy/irritation issues with some scents and need to be pretty careful but TBH, I’ve not had a significant problem with anything I’ve got from Androtics yet. Two of my regular cover scents need care too as they are just at my limits of tolerance.

All the self-effects I’ve had from pheros have been positive. :slight_smile:

Hmm… Is it possible that you are getting sick? That could be the reason behind the post nasal drip. i have experience some muscle twitches in my face when I first started shine, but that went away. I can’t use A314 behind my ears because it irritates my skin. No other known issues.
Positive affect is that my blood pressure has gone down. This may be the neroli or the reduced stress side effect from A314

Some side effects:
Headaches on some products (A314 / IS). I got self headache only on IS but my friends got headaches with A314 in the beginning.
Rash from certain products (more so than others). Could be the alcohol. P79, P86.
Sneezing - A314 is the main one - some ppl just started to sneeze around the first time they are exposed to it.
Feeling defocused /can’t concentrate on some Putatives (none on your list though).
Mild tingling burning sensation on tongue/nostrill - Mx297.

Never observed a heartburn or some sort that I can attribute to mones.

It really depends on the person and there natural biology.

I have experienced headaches, fatigue, post nasal drip and swollen glands depending on how much and what I am using. Now just because I have those symptoms doesn’t mean everyone will.

The headaches and fatigue left after my body got used to pheromones. The post nasal drip happens when I am careless in applying and inhale wet pheromones and TAF only gives me swollen glands in doses over around 20mcg.

Yes these are natural substances but that does not mean there are no side effects. Water is a natural substance but if your drink to much it can cause side effects.

Keep a journal and track when your symptoms are bad or good and write down the products you used that day and eventually a pattern will emerge. Then you will know which molecules your more sensitive to.

That reminds me. I have a female friend that has A314. She got headaches the first few times of wearing it, but the change in her work atmosphere was worth it. I have also noticed the sneezing with A314.
