Ahoy Chas!
I can tell your posts are going to be iiiiinteresting. Oooh.. if my 7th grade teacher had an Aussie accent, I would be swooning well into my 20s. I can’t believe how silly that is, but it’s true. American girls love an accent. Haha!
Miz Carrie is right on the nose about this one; A314 in the classroom would be great.
ESPECIALLY with a room full of 12-13 year olds, who are just starting to figure out the boundaries of their independence. I remember when I was that age, I expressed myself by being rebellious and sassy.
Junior high is that magnificent transitional time, where for the first time in a young person’s life, their classroom education isn’t “spoonfed”. They are asked their opinion, they are encouraged to critically think... They have voices!
I’d imagine you could create a real positive, encouraging tempo in the classroom wearing A314. With the domineering “fatherly” figure aura that A314 exudes, A314 could likely contribute to a more orderly, sane classroom (instead of one fraught with sassy, outspoken teenagers, raging hormones, and attention deficit disorder.
)
Test that out for me, Chas… By now its halfway through the school year and you have a firm grasp on how restless or focused or scatterbrained your groups are… especially right before lunchtime, when I’d think they would be most energetic and fidgety. I wonder how your classroom dynamic would change under the influence of A314?
Off the wall kindergartners? Ay caramba, Muse! I thought that kindergarteners were already off the wall (hey, just my kind of people!
)
I’m curious: What was your dosage when you observed this? I have reports of the components of Instant Openness actually mellowing out 5-ish year olds, and making them a wee bit more “under control”. Your feedback has me wondering what sort of effects you can have on little folks, and at what dosage.
I have a lady who wears a squirt or two of Spaceland around her 5 and 13 year old, and they go from hyperactive headbangers to quietly reading on the couch and listening to mummy’s directions. Interesting, huh?
Ooh, looks like I forged this thread off track.
… Anyway, Welcome to the forum, Chas! Your gift cert has been sent. Can’t wait to hear your feedback!
