I’m a 32 y.o. man currently living in South Bend, Indiana (Go Irish!). I just got into work in sales, and I seem to have some trouble getting past prospective customers’ initial barriers. Once I’m into a conversation I am quite able to assess their needs and see if and how I can help them, but I need a bit of a push to get to that point, past the initial “I’m just looking” reflex response. To that end, I’m interested in the A314, Instant Openness, and some Instant Shine for my own confidence.
I’m generally a pretty friendly guy, and good with people. I enjoy a good conversation on just about any topic. In fact, one of the reasons I got into sales (besides needing to make more money, since my wife and I recently discovered there will soon be 3 of us!) is because as long as I could be comfortable with the product’s worthiness (and I am) I knew I could do well at selling it precisely because I’m generally good with people and have a strong desire to make sure they get what will work for them. Don’t get me wrong, I’d sell everyone who walked in the door if I could, but I don’t want to stick somebody with something that isn’t right for them in the interest of making a few bucks. Of course, there’s a bit of self-interest in that as well, since satisfied customers will be more likely to return and buy from me again, but there’s nothing wrong with that so long as we both win.
I’ve done a decent bit of reading on the science behind pheromones and many reviews of these particular products, and I believe they can help me get the edge I’m looking for.
You seem to have made your choice so far already; nice.
How did you stumble across this site? if it was by researching about pheromones, where did you hear of pheromones?
What kind of edge are you looking for specifically? Do you want something to open them up…attract them or give you more respect? Let us know and we can help you look into the issue at hand for ya!
Mysterion, I was doing some general research on pheromones and various Androtics products kept coming up with positive endorsements and reviews that actually read like they were from real people and not from marketers, you know what I mean? I’ve done a fair bit of reading on things like unconscious mental processes, psychological priming, and the effects of body language, smell, and other physical interactions on interpersonal communication, and it seemed like trying something here would be a logical next step. I read a number of reviews on this forum, and this kind of community is just something that can’t be faked so I joined up and I’ll probably dip my toes in the product-testing water soon.
RaiderMagic, the most significant thing is making the initial contact with prospects. I need to enhance my own confidence as well as open the prospect up to talking with me. Once I get into a conversation, I’m good to go but getting over the initial barriers has been a struggle and anything that can help me do that would be great. The three products I mentioned in my initial post seem designed to do just that, and they all have good reviews so I’m interested in giving them a shot, and maybe working with some combinations of other things once I’ve established some kind of baseline. I’m trying to approach with an open interest and willingness to experiment, but at the same time I want to start with something fairly regular with roughly quantifiable effects because my livelihood is at stake so I don’t just want to jump off into the deep experimental waters without establishing a track record first. Does that make sense?
I wouldn’t say I’m shy, really. I have no problem talking to people. My thing is that I need help with icebreaking (which is why I ordered IO) and getting conversations started, and with taking control of the conversation so I can find out how to best help my customers. The management tells us our job is to take on the role of adviser to the customer, which requires getting through initial defenses and getting their trust and confidence both in me as a person and in my expertise in my field. That’s why I think the A.314 will be helpful. I have no problem talking to people. In fact, I make it a point when I go out for social events and whatnot to talk to a certain number of people I don’t know, both for prospecting purposes and simply because I like talking to people.
With that said, if I like the results I get from what I’ve got already (my initial order arrived today! ), I will certainly experiment with some others as well. I can’t wait to see how it goes! I’m going to make my first trial run with IO tonight.
