Hello From Houston TX! M/62 Looking to find out more....

…about how pheromones act in colognes and perfumes. I have designed several statement colognes for myself and perfumes for my next door lady friend and I am seeking that special OOMPH in the colognes and perfumes as well as in custom soaps.

More about me:

I am a retired USMC Master Sergeant with 30 years of service beginning in 1975 and retiring in 2005 at the age of 50. I still exercise regularly, and I still jump out of a perfectly good airplane at least once a month. I got into soap and cologne crafting as a hobby several years ago, and while my men’s and ladies colognes smell great I know they could use an extra added something, something that will make a woman smell a men’s cologne and go HELL YEAH! and something that will take a ladies perfume and make all the guys go Hold my beer and watch this!

One of things I would like to learn is how pheromones react to the heat in the soap and solid cologne/perfume manufacturing process. At one point would temperature kill off the pheromones.

Thanks for looking!

Hi Crafter and Welcome!

I have tried a lot of things with pheromones and posted in my journal what I got. I have not tried pheromones in soap, but have in cologne with mixed results. I have actually even tried pheromones in an EO diffuser and to my surprise I had good luck with it with the oil based pheromones.

I found I just could not get it right or maybe not advanced enough to make much work with pheromones mixed in with other things and have found it is best to just spray them directly in my skin. I have found some of the pheromones best this way as they can become unstable yes and not work right if mixed with something else.

I would take a look at the Men’s Ultimate Kit either way so you can at least get an idea of what pheromones can do because you would get all of the instant line to try and experiment with.

I would like to hear more on what you would like to achieve as far as effects from others to be able to help you out?

Being 62 and in shape I would look at A314 as your main goto pheromone as it much more useable at your age not just for work, but for dating as well.

What I would like to do is make a cologne for men AND a perfume for women that would be an instant attractant to the opposite sex. Based on preliminary reading, I may have to make several different types that are age based.

I should mention that I do currently do small volume sales of the ones I have made at Craft Shows, but without any pheromones in them and what I am trying to accomplish may be something that has been attempted since the days of Anthony and Cleopatra… instant turn-on. One whiff and the man or women gets weak at the knees with desire.

It may not be a good thing, I don’t know yet. I DO know that one of my colognes I make now drives my next door neighbor lady friend wild . And that is without pheromones in it, just how the cologne reacts with my own natural pheromones.

I may be barking up the wrong tree here, but I am willing to try almost anything once…twice if I like it

Welcome to PheromoneTalk, USMCVeteranCrafter!

I think you have to try our main products first and do your own mix and match. Then embark on a journey with our experimones, experimentals, and putatives to master the pheromones.

In fact, I am sending you your intro GC to help you with your first purchase. It’s in your email now.

Happy Pheroing!

Hey welcome crafter.

Awesome hobby. I may be interested in some soaps myself, maybe you can PM me if you like about it.
As justintime said, pheromones can become unstable and behave differently at times when mixed with things.. I’ve tried it with mixed results myself. What I found is EOs are much easier to mix with and get virtually the same results. The only effects I’ve been unable to duplicate with EOs is androstenone effects.
As for the soaps, I do worry that the heat would degrade it. Spray pheromones and oil pheromones generally only last 1-8 hours. I can only imagine what would happen in a warm shower. I think there’s a product (dial?) that has a pheromone in it. I’ve read bad reviews because it’s like you’re washing it down the drain and not applying it.
With that being said, I don’t think it’s impossible. I just think either A) the science must be understood to make it work or B) trial and error and maybe you come up with something great.

Also, bear in mind, the bacteria on our skin plays a role in pheromone ‘homeostasis’. And there are quite a few EOs that have antibacterial properties. Lets say you had a cologne that was mixed with EOs and pheromones, and you sprayed on your skin, the EOs may interrupt how the pheros are operating. And then there’s the fact that pheromones behave much differently on skin than on clothes.

Other than that, I think it’s doable. Not exactly easy, but if there’s anyway I can assist I would love to help.
