Help! Skin irritation caused by mones?

Hey guys, I’ve been using various mones on occasion for more than a year. However, recently I have been using mones on a daily basis, something that i thought was fine, and i have developed a rash on the places where i have sprayed the mones; namely the elbows, armpits and the back of the neck.

I am thinking that perhaps the alcohol is providing some skin irritation but another possibility is that I am allergic to one of the ingredients in the plethora of mones that i use. What do you guys think? Your input will prevent girls from suspecting i have a nasty infectious skin disease / herpes lol.

when something is up best is to avoid the use temporary and consult a doctor

Yeah perhaps i should, the rash is seems to be spreading down my back as well!

I only started getting this problem after i used a chocolatini scented (which i regret customizing very much) P74

Yes you should

It might just be allergies though due to other external factors…

i doubt the doctor could help very much though, I’m not likely to tell him that I’ve been using pheromones. About external factors, man, idk, I haven’t had a single allergy in my life though I have been drinking and partying ALOT lately. I’m thinking external stresses on my body? That doesn’t explain why my spray zones are singularly affected though.

The thing is, without concrete evidence, you would be just blindly guessing what the cause would be. If you really do not need a doctor, best you could do now would be just to avoid mones for awhile and see what happens. If the rash persists, medical help is needed…

Hope that helps :stuck_out_tongue:

wise words. Thanks!

You could say colognes/cosmetics though.

And yes, it is quite possible you could have a reaction to one or other of the cosmetic ingredients (carrier, scent etc) but I would be surprised at it being the mones themselves. I have this with various cosmetics/scents but thankfully few problems from AD products - F21 scent is at my limit of tolerance and I can only wear that for maybe 2 applications in a row before I see the first signs of irritation.

Another approach might be if you can move to different app points for a few days and see if the old ones inprove o the irritation moves?

Another thought - have you any moisturisers you can tolerate? Applying a little before the pheros may slow absorbtion - and boost the effective life of the sprays too.

Alcohol (a main component in any cologne or perfume) could’ve aggravated dry skin or any other skin disorder.

But also - don’t be silly about the doctor. They’ve heard worse, they are forced to be confidential, and most of them know pheromone products already. I’ve talked to plenty of doctors who call about prescribing them to patients with relationship issues, autism, ADD/ADHD or social disorders that don’t want to take meds.

If you’ve got a rash from anything - obviously discontinue use and see a doctor.

Yea most likely it was either perfumers alcohol or Dipropylene Glycol that aggravated your skin. Remember: you already make plenty of natural pheromones on your skin.

Probably the scent component is causing the rash, at least such is the case for me (I’m not sensitive to alcohol). I can’t apply A314 to my upper chest, neck or forearms without getting little red volcanos! Same for Ammo and IH. Other parts of my body are less sensitive so I can apply scented products sparingly. Wish they were available unscented but such is not the case. I have no problem with unscented products like NPA or SOE. If I brush against eggplants, tomatoes, certain grasses, etc., I get an itchy rash. Most EOs are even worse due to the concentrated nature. So I’ve learned to be careful around plants and colognes. Oddly, I can eat most plants without problems. Just can’t rub on my body…

If you take St John’s Wort for mood enhancement it tends to intensify plant and sun sensitivity and reactions are 10 times worse.

Also, putting any scent on directly after a shower is an issue for some. What happens is the skin pores are open and the alcohol irritates, by being absorbed a little too deeply.
Shower, then wait for 10 - 20 mins. Citrus needs this gap for those with sensitivity as well as cinnamon in the EO’s.

Another thing to ask: Have you changed your laundry powder? This is the most common irritant, and could be the result of sensitivity to one of those ingredients along with your pores being opened and the alcohol allowing the irritation initially. Sensitivity would then be compounded with the clothes and powder residue being kept close to those areas.

If you don’t wash your own clothes; ask whoever if they’ve changed the washing medium.

I’ts not normal for humans to spray alcholol on our skins. It closes out pours and evaporates water. So your body is saying “stop I want to breath” just spray after a shower . I never use mone dry becuase it bugs my skin too.

NO!!! This is applying the alcohol BELOW THE SKIN SURFACE! And in doing so, closes the pores over the alcohol! Wait until the pores close. Believe me, girls have constant education in this arena. Cosmetics are all full of stuff you’re supposed to keep out of your pores and specific ways to remove it from there once it’s got in.

Why do you think girls say you have no idea what we go through to ‘be pretty’? I’ve just had a massive allergic reaction to a skin care regime… and it took a week to subside. If the allergy/rash is new, first look for new things in your routine,

I’m absolutely serious about the laundry soap - lots and lots of skin irritations result from that - as every parent knows. Check that first.

I have to use unfragranced laundry soap else I get nasty rashes in very sensitive places…

Exactly. Also, if you can, add another rinse cycle and don’t use fabric softeners or dryer sheets.

Calm down you have contact dermatitis. Most likely the Chocolatini scent set it off and you keep apply mones to skin that has not recovered just yet.

Stop using mones until it clears up. Take some benadryl if its persistent. Use cool compresses if its bothering you.

My guess is since you have been using these products for a year and just noticed it now once you changed scent packs, its the scent not the mones, alcohol or DPG.

Once it clears totally then try your mones in a spot like your wrist where you can monitor if the rash reappears.

If it continues to spread or gets worse after you stop using then see your doctor. If you go now he is just gonna tell you the same thing I just did but it will cost you.

Since you have sensitive skin you may need to not apply to the same place over and over but switch application points. You can spray your clothes as well but be sure to wash them with a oxidizing detergent to get residue out.

Rashes happen with many substances. No one will think you have herpes of the neck LOL

Tisha

I too have sensitivt skin, I get acne at 38 yo . Frell having the bad parts of pubertal hormones, acne, without getting the good parts: perfect hormonal levels for weight training and fat loss.
Anyway, I’m gonna try to close up my pores by showering cold at the end and then use moisturizer on all areas that I apply 'mones to. Thanks for advice.
