I began to develop rashes and itchy around the part of my body where I apply phermones. It was alright the first few times. Previously, I was using Scent of Eros and Nude Alpha and didn’t seem to produce any allergy.
I don’t want to give up using AD products. Please tell me
What to do? Can I apply a thick moisturizer/cream over the skin before spraying but will it help?
What are the alternative? I thought of applying on clothes but was told the diffusion is poor…
It depends on just how sensitive you are but it worked for me - I get irritation from quite a number of cosmetic/cologne products.
Leave a few minutes between applying the cream/lotion to let it settle into the skin before applying the pheros and you should be fine. you don’t lose a lot of diffusion. They are all much of a mutchness otherwise - Only IME, the better quality, un/low scented ones are best for not being irritating themselves.
Yes, irritation is quite common. It is most likely to be the scent/propellant components rather than the pheros themselves.
Personally Ammo’s FF21 scent is the one that gets me and I can’t wear it for more than a couple of hours without irritation/streaming eyes/headaches. All the other AD scents I’ve tried so far are fine, so now I get Ammo in a different scent via a custom order and use the lotion to prolong activity/slow breakdown. However it did effectively block the skin irritation of FF21 but not the other effects.
It looks very promising. Have you tested the cream on your own skin yet?
After that, you will need to test to work out the minimum amount per application you will need to barrier your skin effectively. Personally I find about the size of a pea is good for me but it sounds like you will need a bit more to cover a wider area.
Also, I am concerned that you still have irritation, nearly a week-on. You need to let that settle down completely before trying anything else.
After all that, if the spray is ok on your skin, you will need to be punctillious about washing at the end of the night and most certainly not sleeping with them on - unless you have a subject there of course!
It also might be worth asking John if he can arrange a few testers of the different AD scents for you. Long term, you should be looking to find a scent that doesn’t set you off.
I just applied the barrier cream on forearm, wait 30 mins and 1 spray of 2.5mcg P75. A woman find the scent not strong and hard to smell it. Could it be the cream slow down the diffusion and even reduce the scent?
I had good result with 1 spray of 2.5 mcg p75 but with two spray i got aggression. That was before i applied the barrier cream. Now that I am applying the barrier, it may have reduced the diffusion. Do u think I shd try 2 spray?
Yes, it could do that and yes you might need to go a bit higher to offset the properties of the cream but I would suggest you take it very slowly till you see what amount the cream on your skin can handle.
Don’t worry too much about the scent being low - it is still a good sign that the pheros are diffusing and you don’t need a lot of scent to carry that off.
How do u know is the scent that is causing my skin allergy?
I used both Scent of Ero and Nude Alpha and no problem on skin.
It must be something different between the AD spray product SOE and NA…
IME it is nearly always scent components - I can use almost any AD scent other than FF21 and they all contain the same solvent and fixing components and this goes for other colognes/spray products as well. PA and DPG rarely cause problems for anyone.
You also have similar pheros in each product, so if you were getting a reaction from any of them, you would get the same from the common components in those brands.
SOE is in DPG with very little scent, even in the scented version (cinnamon?) I don’t know Nude Alpha but IIRC it is also a DPG-based oil? If not it will almost certainly be in more or less the same PA as AD products - This rarely varies very much across the brands.
It might well now be time for a process of elimination - What pheros in which scents (and concentrations) do you have? Next time go for a different scent (or email John for a sample of each when you next re-order) and try each one till you find the one that won’t set you off. I’ve had a lifetime of this with various cosmetic products and even then, I have been caught sometimes quite badly by a minor change in the formula. Which is really annoying if its something difficult to find an alternative for!
I agree with Mobo here. Certain scents give me rashes especially if I touch them. Go with unscented and you’ll most likely see a reduction in rashes. Im convinced its not the mones you’re allergic too because the LS and AD products you are using contain the same types of mones at different ratios along with other mones
Good news! My skin of left forearm didn’t have allergy after spraying 2.5mcg of p75 after applying silic 15 barrier cream…it has been two days and no sign of allergy…
I’m still unsure with other products and I shall try…anyway, p75 (default scent) gave me the least allergy before I apply the barrier cream last time. Now that I apply barrier cream, no allergy. I have not tried 2 spray because the most spray the most allergy. I had most problem with A314 togo and togo Instant honesty…I’m most allergic to that but haven’t tried with barrier cream on…
Yes there is something different. The scent package. Thats how he knows. If it were the pheromones, which is highly unlikely because your body produces the same exact pheromones naturally then you would have had rash issues with both SOE and Nude.
Without actually seeing the rash, my guess is your getting contact dermatitis. There are two kinds. ICD and ACD ICD looks more like red itchy dry patches. ACD looks more like poison ivy, itchy bumps and blisters.
Pheromones in themselves are something your body secretes so if you were allergic to them you would be having rashes all the time. It would sort of be like being allergic to yourself. Its either the carrier or the scent package.
I am guessing its most likely the neroli because its in the A314 to-go and IH.
You can get unscented but I would suggest just trying a different scent package first. The barrier cream should also do the trick to protect your skin. Try applying your mones to skin thats a little rougher as well.
The skin on the inside of your arms is much more sensitive then on the outer side.
The best thing you could do now is test each one individually over the barrer cream to see which is the most likely/worst trigger.
I also agree with Tisha - Going unscented is a more difficult/awkward proposition and it will be better/easier if you can find a scent that suits you. Till you have gathered more experience of phero use anyway.
Oh and by two days - Do you mean two days of solid wear or nor reaction within two days of applying then washing? If so, cutting your duration will also help. I know its tempting to try and retain the mones for the longest possible activity but sometimes you do have to recognise that a more limited duration is better for you overall.
Yes, the kind of allergy is having small red spot on my skin and was itchy without blister…when itchiness was gone, the skin surface was dry.
However, using barrier cream does have a setback. Two women used to tell me how pleasant I smell with p75 two spray when I applied it without barrier cream. Now with the barrier cream on, the scent is greatly reduced and I’m not sure whether the smell is still noticeable. I do worry as the scent is GREATLY reduced, will the diffusion of mones also greatly reduced. Now I can’t earn any praise from woman that I smell good …
I applied barrier cream (silic 15) before 1 spray of p75 then I waited two days for possible allergic reaction. Fortunately, there was no reaction so I confirm the barrier does prevent allergic reaction (able to protect me from 1 spray of p75). Today I tried two spray and see if it can protect me from higher dosage.
I also think u do enjoy having pleasant smell of p75 (default scent) and after applying cream, it doesn’t smell that good as the scent is greatly reduced. See my earlier post
After trying 2 spray of p75 without washing for 5 hours, I got allergy on forearm despite having barrier cream applied. Kind of disappointed.
I’m still wondering if I can do so for 4 hours only and whether the mones still effective despite the scent is greatly reduced by barrier cream. Does great reduction in scent (after applying barrier cream) also means the mones diffusion is also significantly reduced. Anyway, anyone has applied cream and have the scent greatly reduced but yet having the mones work effectively with the same dosage as b4 using any cream on skin?
