I’m 25, female, and living in the southeastern US.
Well, I found this forum on a google search for ideas to help my long-term BF improve his sexual confidence. After having read threads for a couple of hours, I’m pretty interested myself, particularly in some of the experimental blends that can have similar effects on women as the A134 does on men.
I’m not sure yet whether I believe in the effects of pheromones on a basic chemical level, or whether they are more psychosomatic, but I generally feel that if an action has the desired effect, whether it’s because of the action itself or a belief that the action will succeed, whichever is truly responsible doesn’t really matter.
Happy to be aboard, and looking forward to learning and trying more!
Hey misscheeky! Are you going to play with pheros together with your boyfriend, then? As in, both of you wearing them? That’s an idea that has great potential, I think!
I agree with you about the placebo effect; whether it works is all I care about. But I’ll tell you that after playing with these for some years now I’m convinced there’s more to it than placebo. I hope you enjoy the journey!
The A314-like test mix for women, MX134, is really good, as is MX105, an A314 variant. There’s a thread going on right now in the women’s forum about these, among other things:
Hi, Carrie! I actually read threads on MX105 and on MX134, although not the one that you linked.
I’m interested in experimenting both with the BF and at my office- being 25, I’m a lot younger than some of my colleagues and I sometimes feel that I don’t get the respect I feel that I’ve earned. BF says that I shouldn’t use anything- including pheros - as a crutch or an excuse to myself, but I would like to see if there’s something that could help me get an edge there.
I’ve got an interview in a couple of days, so I’m a little more anxious than usual right now.
Lor, shh! That’s the men’s secret! They’re gonna get sooo pissed at us for finding that out!
Anyhoo, misscheeky, you sound like just the kind of gal we need in our gang. Welcome aboard!
What’s your office environment like? More males to females? Vice versa? Cubicles? Mean supervisors? Bitchy co-workers? We seriously have a phero solution for all! (sneaky grin)
Give me a ring if you have any questions on where to start. The 800 number usually always goes right to me during business hours.
In the meantime, check your inbox for your gift certificate. Have fun!
I don’t think that ‘using them as a crutch’ is so much the issue.. it’s that since you likely won’t get pheremones delivered before the interview, you might subconsciously set yourself up for failure!
I apparently misrepresented BF’s caveat in my paraphrase (unfortunately, paraphrasing well has never been one of my talents)- he doesn’t want me to feel that I can’t do x thing without x “helper”, and he’s probabaly very wise in that recommendation.
My office is not so bad, really. It is a semi-large corporation, but it’s not super-stuffy or conservative. It’s IT, so there are more males than females. A lot of us “live” in cube-farms, yes. My managers aren’t really that mean and my coworkers aren’t really that bitchy. I guess now that I think about it, I’m pretty fortunate in my situation. I have great rapport with a lot of my coworkers and I seem to be decent at getting good working relationships with people once I get the opportunity.
So, with that said, I guess I just feel like people don’t take me seriously enough. I feel like it’s been difficult for me to get ahead, and that maybe I don’t make the right impression on people that I’m meeting for the first time. At times I feel like I am easy to ignore, although I personally feel that I present myself confidently and professionally. I am not a wallflower by nature, so this can be somewhat frustrating for me.
So… I guess I’m really very interested in something that might have the “instant respect” effect on my peers and my superiors- I know that I am polished and professional, but I don’t want people to be able to overlook me or pretend that I don’t exist.
