HGH Supplementation

Question I have for you Roy is lately since I’ve started taking HGH, I look younger, hair and nails growing, sleep better etc and have more energy but tend to feel the need to sleep more often sometimes even in the day. Is this normal?

Also my SO says “you are quieter than usual” not my gabby self. She seeing a change in personality. This could be do to HGH or do to the fact that my workouts now consist of just 40 min of weight training and no aerobics.

I know you recommend melatonin and I will order that next time.. What dosage did you order (mg?) from le..

Hi dsouza, I take 1 1/2 mg at night but your dose could be larger. Start at 11/2 mg & see if that works; if not try 2 mg, then 21/2 mg etc til u nail your sweet spot. The only personality change I noticed with increases in my high was more confidence and greater sense of royal calm; things stopped bothering me. My anxiety level went waaay down and I felt I could better put thi gs into their proper perspective . My decision making thereby improved and I started earning more money as a result. My increased confidence led to getting more and better pussy. All this led to a happier life.

Ok I will keep that in mind with the melatonin.

As for the hgh therapy, I’m on my second week and when I start the cycle I sleep better at night, but it seems all I want to do these days is sleep. I feel energy then drain. I feel lethargic and drowsy during the day… hmmmm this must be directly/indirectly related to hgh or my workout.

I will go do some aerobics now… could just be I need more of that.

The hgh shouldn’t be making u drowsy. Pry somethin else all together. Do u have good energy for your weight training?

I have good energy for my weight training but once I’m done I’m pretty much dead tired. I have started to run on my off days. I figure the additional cardio will off balance all the weight training and give me energy.

I highly doubt all of this is due to hgh as last week I never felt this way… probably a change in workout. Will keep reporting back over the weeks… Let’s keep this thread open like a journal…

Human Growth Hormone is one I researched and wont mess with. The side effects are just not worth the benefits.

Study after study in both humans and animals shows then higher then normal HGH levels increase IGF hormones which cause cancer and make it spread rapidly. It can also trigger diabetes.

Studies are now also showing its linked to increasing the risk of addiction to other substances that you use while taking HGH.

Keep in mind this info is emerging not just from government funded studies but independent studies as well. When they are both pointing in the same direction like that I steer clear of the suppliment.

If you are on antidepressants you don’t want to be taking HGH or melatonin at the same time.

Utilizing secretagogues cannot produce “higher than normal” GH levels because your pituitary modulates excessive HGH secretion via the release of somatostatin (a hormone that shuts down the GH production when ‘normal’ levels are reached. In our cases we are talking about bringing 40-50 yo declining GH levels BACK to their normal levels when we were in our mid-thirties & at optimum health. I have been utilizing the secretagogues (again, amino acids & select vitamins & minerals) to help increase my GH levels to when I was in my thirties (and I’ve succeeded in doing so) for the past 3 years now & my doctor describes my health as “excellent”, with none of the debilitating conditions that decimate most men in their 50’s & beyond…no diabetes, no cancer growth (you have to be supplementing with injectable HGH at super-physiological dosages to bring about the “cancer growth” you warn about. Think about it: If HGH is so dangerous, why did God choose to put this hormone in us in the first place? If its so deadly, why do people die of old age related disease when their HGH levels plummet to minuscule levels? “Coaxing” your pituitary to produce youthful “normal” levels of HGH is a breakthrough in achieving good health, not something to be feared.
Why are women encouraged by their doctors to re-introduce youthful levels of estrogen & progesterone when they reach menopause to alleviate their dreadful symptoms? Men are now rebelling against the traditional medical community that says “suck it up old boy & die of a heart attack or stroke or prostrate cancer, you don’t need to boost your testosterone levels, just accept your miserable fate”. Guys like me in ever growing numbers are shouting “YOU go ahead and drop dead doc, I’m choosing life via responsible GH/test augmentation using natural endogenous secretion”. I wouldn’t trade my life & health with any of these fearful, ignorant docs…theyre overweight, have diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, no sex drive & just plain look SHITTY! Then they ask me “what are you doing Roy? You look so good, your health panels are off the charts excellent for a dude in his thirties, much less a dude in his fifties!”
Guys like me are the pioneers; what I’m doing NOW will be standard practice when GEN X & Y reach their 40’s & 50’s. Mark my words.

Roy you sound like a man of wisdom to me. There is no comparison between HGH injections and secretagogues which simply help ones body produce in a natural way more levels of this vital hormone, especially for us older dudes who are deficient in it!

BTW It was not HGH causing my lethargy it was my new workout… I simply added in aerobics and I’m full of energy now. When I started the HGH program I was doing 40 min of just weight training which works the muscles at the expense of the heart. Now I’m doing both.

Will report back regularly. My wife’s weight is coming down… i can’t believe how good she is looking on her second week. I’m noticing her abdominal region is getting smaller, hair is looking healthier, thicker and growing more, and her skin is like a 25 year old although she’s over 40.

I can’t imagine what I’ll be looking like towards the end of my 6 week cycle!

I don’t believe in the traditional “God” so I cant say he chose to put it in us but if you want to go on that theory you can say he chose to have it decline as we age as well.

Women are no longer encouraged to use estrogen during menopause and when they do opt to use it its short term and monitored closely. You see they found out the risk out weighed the benefit.

I am not a big fan of the traditional medical practices either. Our family doctor is a functional med practitioner so I do understand your frustration with there “your getting old, suck it up” attitude but people need to understand the risks as well as the benefits so they can weigh them for themselves not just go by the fact that Roy feels good and looks good.

Its a fact in current studies its shown that HGH will accelerate cancer cells at an alarming rate. Did you ever consider the body is protecting itself naturally by declining the level of HGH at a time in human life when cells begin to break down and we become much more susceptible to cancers. There are certain things the body naturally does for a reason. We are amazingly complex machines. Its not really the level of HGH thats the concern. Its the ratio of HGH to IGF. If you dont know what your doing and you mess up that balance thats when problems arise and without monitoring of those levels even taking a suppliment can be problematic.

I am not telling you what you should do or trying to scare you or anyone else but I believe people need to explore both the risks as well as the benefits so they can make an informed choice.

If they choose to take the risk great but at least they know they are taking one.

I actually would posit this refutation: the primary reason older people are afflicted with various cancers as they age is because their immune systems are reduced & function is compromised and can no longer destroy the cancer cells that we all have throughout our lives (younger people’s immune systems are stronger, more efficient, and can destroy the ever present cancer cells before they proliferate into a tumor(s) ). Since older people’s aging, deficient immune systems cannot effectively destroy these cancer cells, they develop tumors and eventually will probably die after a very painful, arduous battle for their lives; or they can PREVENT this condition of old age by boosting their immune systems strength by increasing their waning levels of HGH to more youthful, healthy levels and thereby REDUCE their chances of ever contracting most cancers. Logical proof: who contracts & dies from cancer(s) the most- younger people with high levels of natural hgh, or older people with extremely low levels of hgh?
The problem with women’s hormone replacement therapy up to now has been the artificial, synthetic versions of estrogen that actually lead to tumors & nasty side effects. However, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy for women also includes progesterone (and sometimes testosterone in low dosages ) to mimic her natural hormone profile. Only western medicine would say to a woman: "You only need ONE female hormone (estrogen) to get by in menopause " when her healthiest youthful state was dictated by the presence of estrogen & progesterone. Synthetic versions of these female hormones are deadly.
Likewise synthetic versions of testosterone for men cause cancers, baldness, impotence etc (steroids are all tweaked test molecules). Bio-identical test (or naturally produced test utilizing secretagogues) is healthy and leads to a quality of life unimagined by the man too afraid to remain a man into his 50’s, 60’s and beyond.
I’m climbing off my soapbox now  peace & understanding to all

I am not disagreeing with what your saying. Your notions are all sound. I agree with your take on aging, hormones and I agree the immune system is critical in preventing disease. 2/3 of our immune system is created in ours guts though.

Problem is HGH doesn’t do squat for the immune system so unless your supporting that and are taking a well rounded balanced approach you can be doing more damage then good by just taking HGH.

Look I know you think I am arguing against it but that’s not the point I am making here, I am not telling people what to do one way or the other. People have a tendency to just pop pills thinking is a magic potion to solving all there issues. Most of the time they just create imbalances in the body that lead to trouble down the road. Sure they may feel great temporarily but then the shit hits the fan.

My point is if your going to use HGH talk to a functional med practitioner or a naturopath. Just don’t pop it without the other supports your body needs to utilize it and balance it correctly. Roy you probably have a well rounded approach and that’s great I am just concerned people will just jump on the band wagon without really seeing things clearly.

Synthetic or not your still affecting the natural function of the body and believe me its not easy to fool mother nature. HGH is one of those substances that is controversial and I am the queen of controversy when it comes to health improvements. I have suggested some controversial methods myself. I don’t go with the norm but this one needs some serious consideration before using.

Roy you know your own body and biology and whats right for it and whats not. I am glad your having success. But when suggesting HGH to others you have to realize you don’t know everyone else’s body. The risk for you may not be as steep as for someone else. HGH is one that comes with more risks then others. All I am saying is if your going to suggest it give people both sides so they can make an informed decision as to whether its a risk worth taking or if they should try other avenues first.

All I am saying to the readers is look before you leap. You already took the leap Roy and I am sure you researched and looked at both the negatives and positives before taking that leap. Lets encourage others to do the same before just jumping on the youth bandwagon.

Roy,

I took your advice and just picked up some 1 mg melatonin from a health food chain and to my surprised I slept less hours last night but feel COMPLETELY refreshed today!! I Havne’t felt this way since I was 18 and since this change only came about since I started the melatonin I credit it for its effects.

The grogginess is completely gone, I’m very happy, and seem to be jovial. You sure have helped me out a lot. thank you Roy!

I’d be interested to know if this is just a ONE NIGHT WONDER, or if you’re grogginess is FOREVER gone, D.

Do report back in a week or two.

Thanks!

Done with my second week as well. Nothing really noted except for my finger nail growth, so we shall continue onward with week three.

To be continued …

This is what I am talking about. Rapid cell growth. Yes it great if you want to regenerate cells quickly. Now if your totally healthy that rapid cell growth is a good thing but all it takes is one tiny cancer cell to be present and its going to grow rapidly as well. It could have sat dormant for years and years growing very slowly and never really manifesting into disease but waiting for a catalyst to spring it to life. HGH can act as that catalyst. Thats why people need to really weight the risk.

M&M

Will keep a journal of my experiences on this thread.

So far melatonin is giving me less but better quality sleep. I feel all grogginess is gone.. 3rd day now.. I take the lowest dose since I don’t cycle it.. 1 mg.

On HGH I have lost 4 lbs the first 2 weeks. Increased my strength on all lifts and looks and feel wide awake… My sleep has gone from a lousy 3 hrs to 6-7 hrs deep sleep.

Will repost after every week on the cycle.

How is your testing coming?

I would bet all my money on you being CORRECT, TishaPoo!

I tell people using steroids the EXACT same thing. It’s rolling the dice. People say steroids kills people … I’ve always said whatever in the body is not working right … cancer, tumors etc … it will speed up its growth.

I say YOU ARE CORRECT.

Less sleep, eh? Have you tried upping your dosage?

I just started back in the gym today, so we shall see if anything of noting takes place.

As for what Tisha said … 6 months check-up/physicals are HIGHLY advised; and NOT just because she said it, either. :o As with anything else we put in our bodies … do NOT let the GOOD HAPPENINGS blind you of the possibilities of the BAD HAPPENINGS.

Proceed with caution, and listen to your body.

I get a physical done every year and blood work every 3 months.

Now I am all for melatonin for short term use. I have suggested it to many of my clients who have trouble sleeping or whose rhythms are off as well as some in menopause or with some cases of ADD.

However saying this doesn’t mean everyone should run out and take it. I look at there history and current issues and medications first.

If your taking any meds that are classified as serotonin reuptake inhibitors or antipsychotic medications you should not be taking melatonin.

If your have libido issues or low sperm count you shouldn’t take it as it will worsen those conditions.

I have seen people take melatonin who had mood issues and have the initial feeling of well being and better sleep while taking only to find when they have been on it for a while there world drops out from under them and they end up worse off then before. They didnt do there homework and didn’t stop taking the other meds before using the melatonin. Not good.

Generally I suggest 5 htp which is more balancing but again you cant be on other depression, anxiety or brain altering meds.

Yes whoever it is negging can tell me I am a “know it all bitch” again, (snort)… it doesn’t bother me but what does bother me is people not getting the proper advice (for them) and just assuming because one person had good results so will they.

M&M is right… Dont let the good blind you to the bad. I like that saying and plan to steal it from you LOL

Tisha

I agree with Trish you should be careful with HGH but I think the supplements these guys are taking from what I gather actually contain no HGH, all it does it get your body to produce it’s own HGH if at all. It’s like taking something to naturally boost your testosterone. Hell a guy can actually give his balls a squeeze and he’ll produce more, know fact lol. Unless it actually contains HGH it prob doesn’t do all that much, except cost you $100+ a month.

The only products you can get that really are HGH is by prescription only in the U.S and if you have it without a prescription in some states you can get charged with possession. It’s mostly given to people with Aids.

So you should be careful if you’re taking the real deal. It’s just as bad as taking roids. I remember a friend of mine asking if I wanted to do roids once and he showed me his supply. My first question was. “doesn’t the picture of a horse bother you?” Clearly they were not intended for us.

Actually its not that hard to get your hands on the real deal. No harder then buying any other drug or pharmaceutical grade substance.

I realize that he is using secretagogues which help his body make and release dormant HGH. People make the mistake of thinking because its causing the body to make its own its not harmful. Of course your correct that getting your hands on a true secretagogues can be a challenge. I would say 80% sold are bogus and I agree some are paying a large price for a simple vitamin.

My point is really not for what Roy is taking once he clarified it. In the first few posts though all that was mentioned was HGH not (secretagogues) so its misleading. For those who see “HGH supplimentation” and actually get there hands on it they may miss that part were he explains its not actual HGH.

You know how people are Gotchaz especially in a pheromone forum. You mention a chemical and its benefits and suddenly people just read the positive side and jump on it buying it from any tom dick or harry without thinking first.
