Hi all

I’m a new member that has just stumbled across your webpage when researching wacky ideas for a Christmas present for a friend that seems to have everything. But I found this website, noticed the many different pheromone choices you guys have - as opposed to the one spray suits all approach I’ve seen on other sites - and signed up.

Let’s just say I’m keeping this one to myself now.

I’m 28, working in the I.T. field and have a background in the biological and psychological sciences. I’m looking forward to experimenting with pheromones with the rest of you, and reporting results when / if I get them. I’m still a little sceptical about pheromones at the moment. I’ve read research that says humans don’t have the capability to detect pheromones, and if we did, we lost it a long time ago.

Then I read that humans do have an organ in the nose that is capable of detecting these chemicals, but the nerves are disconnected, so it’s not functional. If anyone can give me links or pointers to up-to-date research, I’d be grateful. I’m willing and eager to be proven wrong with my scepticism.

Even more eager to be a hit with a woman I know at work who I’ve had my eye on for a long time. We tease and flirt in a friendly way, and we like each other a lot. But due to a temporary contract, I’m afraid of losing contact with her very soon. It’s happened before.

I need to take it to the next level quickly. I know she’s not attached at the moment, and playing my usual long-term approach to dating won’t work in the time available. I need to hit her hard and fast, so hopefully we’ll do more than “keep in touch”. She’s really something, and I’d feel gutted if nothing happened. Yeah, I think I’m in… :smiley:

Suggestions on which pheromones to use would be appreciated. Turn Up The Heat and Instant Female Magic sound interesting. Another one I’ve seen mentioned on the forums, Liquid Lust, would be fantastic if it really works. Can’t wait to get her reaction to that one. :wink:

Welcome, Muskcloud! You’ve been doing your homework well, I see! There have been some recent discussions here about pheromone research … check out winger’s intro thread which now contains a few links, since he was asking about what studies had been done.

I think one of the guys might do better at advising you on how to “hit her hard and fast” … but here are my ideas. I think Turn Up the Heat will be useful but you might also want something with a lighter attitude like Instant Shine or Instant Openness, and/or more trust-building and well-rounded to build on, like A314 or Instant Gentleman perhaps? though I don’t hear people talking about that last one as much, for some reason. Or Ammunition would be good. Then add your TUTH in small doses … keeping in mind it’s not work-appropriate for most.

In any case, have you asked her out yet? Decisive action is going to be the thing that impresses her most, I think!

Sounds great, right? There’s a little downside, though. It can hamper the moods of some men. (I’m sure other guys can chime in on this, because I’m female and I don’t experience IFM the way you males do!)

Instant Honesty would be great to get really close. It gives off a deep, “I’ve known you forever and ever” vibe.

No, Carrie, I haven’t asked her out yet. I might like her an awful lot, and I know the feeling is mutual, but the flames that would make this relationship go off the scale aren’t there - yet. I know it will come in time, but a dark corner of my mind reminded me of a quote:

Patience is a virtue. If you have the time.

I’m a thinker, not a doer. I do my homework, I think and plan. Only then do I act. It’s just the way I am. It takes me a while to type out a long post! I might plan it out in my head for a good few minutes before typing, and I might edit it several times before committing. It’s also behind the long-term dating strategy that I use. I can’t go up to a woman - even one I know well - and ask her out. A poster on these forums once said that to get what you want, get her to ask you. That works, I’ve tried it in the past, but it takes time. This is where the pheromones come in, because time is against me.

So why do I use it, if it takes that long? The strategy never fails, that’s why. I always get what I’m after, even if it takes months.

I get horribly tongue-tied when using the damn-the-torpedoes, all-ahead-full approach all of the other guys use and it’s really frustrating. Maybe I ought to use that Instant Honesty, Jasmin. Does it work on you as well as your intended target? Just wondered if these pheromones marketed at men are specific to the opposite sex, or will they work on the user too? If so, I’ll have to be careful. Bubbling emotions and Instant Honesty would be a lethal mix. :slight_smile:

Thanks for the compliment on the name, Jasmin. I take a lot of time to think up a name that other people will know me by on these forums. I just hate putting numbers after my handle to make it unique.

Her body language is very flirty. I know most of the signals, and she’s giving off most of them. Slow winks when I look at her, spontaneous smiles, leans in closer than necessary when we’re talking, will reach across a table to touch me sometimes, a lot of body contact when we hug, that kind of thing. I return the signals, or initiate them, and damn, does it make me feel great. Pity her eyes are dark. I can’t make out her pupils very well and can’t tell if they dilate when she looks at me. That at least is beyond conscious control.

We’re already close enough that we feel we can talk about anything, even our love lives - or lack of them. So I don’t think we need something to make us closer. I’m just looking for the catalyst that will turn what we’ve got into a full-on relationship. I just need that nudge to tip us over the edge. If I could turn a flamethrower on this, I would. I’m looking for the pheromone equivalent of a flamethrower.

Anything specific? Or a combination? I’ll go for the Liquid Lust combo if nothing else. :smiley: Just need to be careful. I’m the only guy working in close proximity to staff in what would be an all-female office if it wasn’t for me, and I’ve only got eyes for one of them.

Your ladyfriend is ripe for the picking and she wants you to take all the countless hints she’s giving you and do the deed. She has already chosen you, given you the green light, but you want her to make the first move, a strategy that won’t work with most women, unless she really likes being the dominant one. I take back what I said about TUTH - it will light a fire under you and that’s exactly what’s required.

Something to consider … if she does initiate, that sets the tone for your relationship. The dynamic of your courtship dance is hard to redirect once it’s in motion.

You asked Jasmin if IH will affect you as well as others … yes. And that is a good thing in this instance, if you’re at all interested in being more forceful, decisive and impelled toward what you really want.

OK OK, I got the hints from both the forum and my intended conquest. :slight_smile:

Going to step up to a more direct approach, instead of being the cat burglar breaking a safe open by peeling the armour from the back. Need the dynamite. I’ll order it the second my finances recover from the Christmas splurge.

Already made up my mind what I’m getting, and I’ve read the advice to other new users: don’t mix and match until you know what you’re dealing with.
