How do I get away from this stuff!?!?

I’d like to thank everyone for all of the responses. To be honest, the reason I didn’t post more in reference to the actual effects was for that very fear - that they are too outrageous or pronounced that no one would even believe me. While the initial post was in sort of a panic, it wasn’t until I had tried to find the solution extensively.

I do feel that I may, in fact, be a “super smeller”. Again, while I’d rather not go into the actual effects themselves, they are real. I understand the mind or placebo effects extensively, and I can assure you that this is a real physiological effect that is specific to pheromones. Perhaps I am allergic to something in the formula, who knows.

To address one of the posts above - I am very careful about adding/subtracting things from my daily routine. I am a creature of habit and because of that, it’s much easier to identify when something changes, what caused it. Again, being 100% forward, this is not a manifestation of other problems in my life. My personal life, professional life, and interpersonal relationships are excellent. I hesitated even trying the products because while I know things can always be better, I’m of the “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it” mentality.

Before trying to identify all the specifics, I’ll tell you what I have done and what has worked. I bought a tub of OxiClean. I’ve washed my clothes, home surfaces, and car with the solution. I’ve found almost complete relief at home, save for my bedroom. The two areas which continue to cause problems are my bedding and office. Say what you want about the length of effects and how it can’t be lingering, the fact is that the effects go away when the applicable area is cleaned properly.

I’ve wiped down everything in my office with the Oxy Cleaner, I’ve even added a small Ionic Breeze and a larger one @ home. Again, any help in address the immediate situation is appreciated, and hopefully a longer term solution can be found after finding relief.

Thank you again.

What products did you use and for how long? Please give details of the application and how product might have got into your surroundings.

Also, if you could tell us the symptoms you experienced that would be quite helpful in advancing our understanding. You are anonymous on the forum so please don’t be shy.

BFTE, the forum is about research as well as help. We offered our opinions in the hope that we could help you and nothing is really expected of you in return. If you can’t respond with some details, no problem. However, understand that any information you can add to your posts will help us to understand what exactly happened. If we understand that then we can offer better opinions to someone else in the future. Please don’t feel that you will be judged in any way. We don’t know you, you don’t know us. Your experience is important. Hope things are better!

It’s not that I’m worried about sharing the effects I experienced, it’s that without even mentioning them people already say that it can’t be due to the pheromones and that it’s impossible. I’m more than willing to accept being the anomaly, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

Immediately upon the experimentation w/pheromones I started to experience extreme fatigue, cloudy thoughts, a slight tightness in the chest, some nausea, and irritability. I attribute the irritability more as a by product of all the other unpleasantries, as opposed to an actual psychological effect. While I initially thought it was the A314, the product I used most, I remember that I first used Ammo and now feel that it was the spray products. I can’t test my theory until I rid myself of the lingering effects I described.

As I said, I certainly realize that it’s hard to believe what I’m saying. The fact remains that in areas where I have applied, after wiping clean with peroxide and OxiClean there is almost IMMEDIATE relief; not from placebo effect.

Thanks and reps BFTE2005. You experience is your experience. Yes I would say it is an extreme reaction that is very uncommon. I find it quite interesting that you wish to continue to test and I hope all goes well.

Edit: I really do look forward to hearing if you try again in the future!

It must be the game scent! No really, I doubt that the effects you felt do really come from the pheromones themselves. We all produce these pheromones by ourselves. So I’d guess that it was caused by something else. I actually felt bad after trying my first game scented product (I mean really bad - fatigued, massive headache, not so nice feeling in the belly) - maybe you react even more to some part of it? I don’t have any of these effects anymore when wearing them, but that may be different for you. It would be really interesting to know if you’d feel the same when wearing unscented products…

No one is saying its impossible or didnt happen, when I mentioned that above I was referring to transfer to your mattress not the reactions your are getting. At the time we didn’t know the reactions you were getting except for the smell lingering because you didn’t share them.

I do think its something in the spray other then the mones. You make all these same mones naturally. Your also exposed to other peoples mone all the time so its gotta be allergy to the carrier or the scent pack.

My suggestion would be to return them for refund and refrain from using them because the reaction your getting is not the normal reaction you should get from mone use. Mild scent headaches and fatigue are normal from the neurotransmitters rapidly firing but the body quickly adjusts to this. Extreme fatigue, nausea, cloudy thinking and chest tightness are extremely rare and indicate allergy of some sort. As it states in the stores terms and conditions

Have you ever had problems with colognes, after shaves or cosmetics before ?

Tisha

It might be worth having Steve send BFTE2005 some game scented alcohol with no pheromones in it to see if he has the same reaction. Similarly, the other pheromone products he already has could be tried one at a time to see if reaction occurrs to one and not the other.

This reaction is unusual enough that it might be worth tracking down the cause, if BFTE2005 is willing.

Ok, being direct about things regardless of what happened: You didn’t oxyclean your car did you?

Again, I really do appreciate the help. It continues to be a very trying experience, and quite unpleasant.

If I do try anything, it will be A314 itself. The oil base will help reduce the affected area. I don’t anticipate it happening anytime soon, however.

I agree that it’s most likely something in the spray, rather than the mones themselves. I’ve never had an issue with any cosmetics before.

No, but I did clean with a Oxy based spray product and plan to do so again. Why do you ask?

Because to effectively remove residual contaminates from upholstery, your going to want it to be cleaned with an extractor, or shampoo’d and extracted. Otherwise your working contaminates farther into the seating, and not sufficiently removing them.

Sorry, I do this kind of work as a side job so I get a little exited

Sounds to me like either hypersensitivity, or obsessive compulsive disorder. Perhaps both coupled together. At least you’ve found a means of dealing with the unpleasantness.

That’s good feedback, thank you. Can you recommend a product? If I’m cleaning with OxiClean and peroxide, wouldn’t it still help act as a neutralizer?

In my car I have leather, as opposed to upholstery. I would imagine that helps a little at least?

Whoah whoah whoah its leather? Step away from he oxyclean, and good lord don’t touch the peroxide!

Oxyclean is a way too chemically abrasive product to be using straight on leather, and peroxide will stain and farther degrade leather. This can cause “failure of the hide” if you will, if it hasn’t damaged it consider yourself lucky.

While it would help to know what car it is, I can off the bat tell you that the most readily available products that are going to effective are 1) Duragloss leather shampoo & Duragloss leather conditioner (available at CarQuest) 2) Lexol leather cleaner & Lexol leather conditioner (available at Advance Auto, Pep Boys, etc etc) and 3) Zymol leather cleaner & Zymol leather conditioner (available at Target) If you have an 03+ Infinity or Nissan, chances are its a coated leather and that should do it, as well as protect from harsh chemicals and such, if not then the above product should be fine but if you find residual contaminates than a 6 part water, 1 part Woolite mixture should take care of the rest. Remember to follow the instructions on the bottles, and be sure to pick up a few microfiber towels at any of the above stores.

OH good goddess, Its not in the car unless you sprayed it in there and it absorbed into the fabric. If you just wore them in the car, they are not in there unless you sprayed them on your ass before you sat down. Mones only have a “life” of 4 to 6 hours. If they lasted days Androtics would be out of business.

Tisha

not for nothing,Tisha,
but I am really bad about spraying pheromones in the truck

as a matter of fact,
i carry my pheromones in a case and travel with them, because i know others interested in trying this stuff out.

i have sprayed almost everything (including cops,my gawd :open_mouth:) in that truck, including my beloved Ammo (older version though)
and i am not experiencing any haunting.
i have a fabric interior.

i think sometimes it would be good if TAH hung around a bit,
i can deal with traffic better.

anyhoo,
i was very interested to hear about using the enzymes to break-down anything residual.
makes total sense,
and even if there wasnt any extraction-cleansing, this sounds like it would do the trick.
dont have to extract what was broken-down,right?

I spray them in my car all the time to Lor. There is no way it can transfer by wearing it and truthfully I can spray it on the upholstery and it will be gone the next day. Hell I have spilled mones in the mustang and you would never know it now. Your correct in mentioning the Phantom scent. I dont want to be insensitive to the origonal poster so I gave him all the options a few posts back. I find though in these situations sometimes you need to be blunt and its getting close to that time LOL. I remember smooth player going through the same thing.

The enzyme product “natures way” that I mention above is for spills or panicky members with the Phantom scent issues. It does work and quickly on just about anything smelly but as I mentioned mones wont last this long even sticky ones like anone. Even cover scents dont last this long in transfer. Natural Bacteria which is present on everything will break it down in a day or two and then its gone. No you wouldnt have to extract it with natures way. The enzymes break it down to the point that there gone. Similar to whats used in those new oust sprays that get rid of the smell or Fabreeze. Except natures way is more powerful.

Tisha

Yeah, on the car, even if you spilled a bunch inside it, we are talking about pretty volatile smells. A warm day and drive with the windows down is going to eliminate any of the products you’ll find here.
