Hi all ,
i have done some searches regarding expiration of phero’s. the threads say 3 or 4 years. I have phero’s that are over 5 years old. Are they no longer good ? should i toss them? – Strangely , they still smell the same as they did when i bought them. SO , I don’t know how to determine if their still good. 5 years seems pretty long. any ideas?

Are they suspended in alcohol ? If so they should be fine. Just hold the bottle up to the light and make sure the liquid is clear with no floaters. You may find your dosage may differ. Actually the alcohol based mones I have had that were stored correctly seem more potent to me and I use less but it can go either way so you may need to revisit testing dosage.
If they are oil based look for separation, generally these lose more potency quickly because bacteria can thrive in certain oils. Its going to depend on the oils used though. Some oils have antibacterial properties. A good mixologist is going to make sure those oils that will help longevity of a mix are there.

One is an alcohol based – theres nothing floating in their. Just seems like clear liquid (guess that’s the way it was before) . It is hard to tell though from the dark blue colored bottle (cttm2)(I believe this is now expired or no longer sold)
The second is an a314(old one , oil.) with very little left – also kind of hard to see.
little over 5 years laying around. They have been away from sunlight that whole time in a dark drawer.
If they have been kept in the dark for all that time, there should be little if any degradation.
Just use them and see! 
Kind of afraid to experiment seeing as how they were out for so long… I figured over 4 years their no good. But they don’t seem to have any flowing particles in them. I really don’t know to risk it or not 
To my knowledge the worst that will happen is that the fragrance will smell ‘off’. Expired mones don’t turn into noxious gas or other harmful chemical.
Best way to see is by smell.
As for A314 - it contains many natural ingredients. While these ingredients do have a pretty good shelf life, you should still shake them to make sure there’s no separation. If its still separated after shaking then it probably wont be as effective.
Risk?
What’s the risk? It’s not life or death. Just wear them for a while and see what reactions you get. Not like people are going to start attacking you.
If you’re working on a certain girl and afraid they might fuck you up, then don’t wear them for her. But no excuse for just not wearing them in general and see what happens.
john sebastian - what do you mean by seperation? you mean shaking to see if theres something flowing in the bottle?
the scent seems totally fine – as if it is new. (both for the a314oil and cttm2 alcohol)
cmbc- the risk seems the aweful smell that could occur from the phero’s mixing with my body chemistry/sweat and the nasty odor it can produce. Don’t want to smell like a dirty pig lol
So spray yourself when you know you aren’t going out and find out the results of whether you stink badly or not. Problem solved, isn’t it?
Indeed. Sometimes though , when the phero are absorbed you get used to the scent and you can’t smell what someone else smells from you. But yes , your point is logically accurate.
Like the oils themselves have separated. Example: Water and oil.
